    Hi Scott!
Would this management be better by lifting the mulch and placing the cut bits underneath? Or would that disturb the localised soil structure?

Hi Diogo, the benefit in exchange for the effort would not work out, plus what is already going on below is sufficient. The best effect comes from the growth signals and other root exudates, which is automatic when the pruning occurs

No hay platanos, papaya? Los tallos de platano son excelente abono verde, seguramente has visto los vídeos de SAF en Brasil.

Hi Scott - why did you use castor oil plant for this purpose? I've heard it can be quite invasive. Are there more beneficial options, that also double as animal fodder etc. Do you use this plant for some specific beneficial reason?

Yes, castor oil provides support like no other plant. Its canopy, speed of growth and support for soil biology are second to none

Hi Scott, lots of great information there, thanks. I thought that castor oil seed is extremely toxic. I understand that it is managed before it goes to seed, however there are potentially very serious consequences if it is mismanaged. Are there other options that although not as good at producing biomass, are safer and could be utilised?
