a lot of people in the comments are saying there's no point in getting this because there's barely 4k content, etc etc. Go to your local Best Buy & look at this as it's next to the QN90B and then come back and let me know if you're sentiments remain the same lol.
Yeah exactly. This seems biased to me
Wow those "infinite bezels" really helps make this TV look truly SPECTACULAR!
The new samsung tizen menu can be easily bypassed from using the voice command feature from the remote. A lot of reviewers are leaving this detail out. You hold the mic button and say settings, and it launches settings. For users like myself, at night, I use my galaxy buds2 pro. To easily switch from the TV audio to the headphones instead of navigating through the menu, etc, just say the keyword Bluetooth, and it launches the Bluetooth menu. The hub screen is mainly for watching small previews to recommended movies and shows from multiple platforms integrated through one home page. This allows you to quickly find something to watch without having to open multiple apps. It seems like most people that review these newer TVs aren't acknowledging the simple bypass method of voice commands to quickly navigate to the setting, input, movie, show, streaming service, etc. I thought the new samsung Hub would annoy me based on the reviews on CZcams, but this method gives you the best of both worlds. I do not work for Samsung, I'm also not reimbursed from Samsung. I'm just an average Joe who owns the B.O.B devices that Samsung has to offer. Just wanted to share this info with you as the reviewer as well as to those who are on the fence of buying these newer Samsung TVs based on the OS.
After 2 months of owning a QN800A, i was a Panasonic 4K owner before that.
8K makes my 75inch looking like a giant iPad. Nothing beats the upscaling at 8K of 4K UHD Blu-ray. Well, unless you have an 8K OLED

I love your channel. Based on your review I got the 83" A90J, and we haven't regretted it.
Me too.... 83" A90J keeps blowing my mind. Friends who come over are wowed by its picture quality and sound.
Im ready to go 8K this November 85 inch 900B with a RTX 4090 PC will take my gaming to next level
Yes..for this Type of gaming the TV will BE a Beast with good HDR đ€Żđ„°
Is 8k with half detail better than 4k with double the detail? Most games are going to run at native 1080p-1440p and upscaled to 4k.
8K mainstreaming is so far down the road that by the time it arrives, this TV will be too obsolete in most of its other features (not to mention pretty worn out). We're still waiting for more 4K content, never mind 8K. Better to spend less on a quality 4K TV now, and then upgrade if and when 8K content becomes commonplace which may be a decade or more from now. By then, overall picture quality and other features will have significantly improved from any 8K TV you can buy today. Buying an 8K TV now is certainly not future-proofing.
You know his is also plays 4K content right? Lol
You do realise that with years of warranty, it actually is future-proofing? You are guaranteed a newer, 8K model by securing an 8K TV now. At least in Australia thanks to our robust replacement laws, we usually just buy an expensive set and then have it replaced when we think we need a new one. We bought 4K back when people didn't even think 4K was necessary, then were able to secure a high-end equivalent years later. Buying a high-end 8K now, secures its high-end equivalent later down the track which we'll put warranty on and repeat the cycle.
It's easy to make an investment and then pay a little loading each return to keep upgrading whenever you need to.
Oh and not to mention nobody is buying this set for the 8K. It is for the tech. Low bit-rate content suffers but when it comes to 1440p/4K Content being upscaled to 8K? It does wonders and it objectively looks better than any 4K I've seen. It looks so damn clear and beautiful, people really have no idea by underestimating 8K. The main benefit right now is for that 4K to 8K upscale that is really good. I don't know why anyone would even watch sub 1080p content to begin with in 2022 (who watches Free-To-Air or Cable anymore? Outdated.)
8K is inevitable and might as well invest because we all know it's coming.
I would love to see CZcams TV just in solid 1080 for crying out loud. Sportscenter is normally 480. đ
Unfortunately tvs won't be available 10 years from now as the elite have a plan to plug our brains directly to the computer or some shit like that. The ceo of Nokia also said that mobile phones won't be available 10 years from now as we will have them built directly into our bodies. It's the satanic transhumanism agenda of merging man with machine!
@@mikhaeldutton9933 nothing runs in 8k. Weâre just now getting to the point where 4k is being normalized and somewhat affordable. Broadcasts donât run 8k. Games are now just getting 4k but up to devs. Some movies run 8k but are $30 per movie.

Good review, brother-man. For ME, 8K is still basically just a smoke screen. Okay, so I can download a few cool 8K HDR videos to a thumb drive and play a few more on You TubeâŠand thatâs about it. Weâre just NOW starting to see 4K streaming becoming more normalized with Netflix, Disney and Apple. Iâd much rather have a super high quality 4K TV than pay extra for 8K and âadded features.â Too many other compelling options in the 4K world to consider this TV.
Well like I said in another Comment most movies today are filmed at owned at 6K to 8K Resolution and in some instances even higher and so all these movies have a higher resolution version than what you see on the 4K ultra HD blue ray disk So really all it would take is Samsung to reach out to these movie studios and get access to those so that Samsung could offer them for rent or buy or by through whatever app store they want it on their TVV so that you can actually watch A6K version of the movie or LA movie or an 8K version of a movie Then you have 35 mm films from the past they Have basically an infinite resolution it resolution so you could then get a higher resolution of those films to be streamed strange that would be really amazing if Samsung could do that and right there you would have lots of 8K content And be able to watch your favorite films like you've never seen them before in the highest resolution ever
Danke!
Looks nice but I'll stay with 4k for nowđđ
Thanks for the video
Thanks for the great reviews. I've asked this question to you before but didn't receive a response. I'm trying to decide between purchasing a 65 inch Samsung q90t for $1,095 or the Samsung qn85a for $1,349. In your view, which tv is better. We watch mostly cable channels.

Hi B,
So how does this compare to the Samsung OLED S95B and maybe the latest LG OLED or miniLED for watching TV and gaming in 2022?
Also in terms of brightness and deep blacks?
I can get wait for abit as I'm not sure what's going to come out in 2023?
I'm still good with 4K because there is not tons of 4K and very little 8K. I really don't think 4K has peaked yet especially with OLED now that we have QD OLEDS on the market and more to come. Ha ha ha even Hisense is releasing a OLED TV the A85H. I believe it's a QD OLED too.
As always B,thanks for your honest review. I will wait until I see your review of QN95B in a 75" or 85" which is Samsung'sFlagship 4k NEO QLED for 2022 and is available in the USA this year.
Okay now that I've watched the whole video. I must say and people this is just my thoughts and opinions! 8K is an awesome concept but 8K will never hit the bluray market! The internet speed you need to run full 8K which it's not native it's compressed! It's gonna take a lot of constant speed to run it. I mean for me if I had the money to waste I would only buy the tv for bragging rights. đ€·đœââïž I think the tv has to work harder when upscaling and people buy these tvs thinking it's going to work magic on cable boxes, DVDS, and other low resolution Content but you can't expect Miracles. Thanks B for another great video!!
Thankfully you are 100% wrong, 8K is here and definitely comingâŠâŠ.. Iâve been on Fiber 1000Mbps speed for at least 4 years and now they are upgrading to 5000 and soon 10,000.
Technology will ALWAYS move forward/
@@tears2040 well thankfully I said my opinion the internet speed thing okay great. I know how technology works believe me I'm the last guy you want that war with! What I'm saying is the average consumer isn't going to buy this or upgrade there internet (when that time comes) for 8K also as far as 8K coming to bluray that's far fetched most companies have backed out of making 4k players a long time ago. And oppo backed out as well and they were the best besides Panasonic. So luckily I put first and foremost MY OPINION have a good weekend sir!
8k is of some relevance to 85-98 inch TVs but the content doesnât exist and probably never will. Unfortunately we are stagnant or going backwards in terms of source content quality. Weâre lucky to get a 10mbps stream. Next-gen 8k UHD would need 400mbps so what is the percentage of streaming and cable? Itâs 2.5% of next-gen UHD quality and 10% of 4k UHD.
I was saying the same thing with sound. We buy 4k receivers that can handle Dolby Atmos which is 18mbps. Most streaming providers improved their sound but itâs still between 384kbps-760kbps which is 3%-6% of the full bandwidth. But it still sounds movie theater like on my system and movies look amazing on my 1080p TV.
My point is the sources youâll feed it are likely to be less than 10% of the maximum capacity.
@@techsamurai11 I just feel that the prices are insane for the size and the difference between 4k and 8k 92% of the people on a side by side comparison wouldn't even be able to tell the difference. At this point a good 4K tv is just fine! Also no tv is perfect!
@@techsamurai11 If and when 8K content becomes more readily available it's like you said only relevant with 80" plus screen sizes.
I really don't care about 8K! But man i love this Tv's design! I'm looking to this tv for a couple of years already. Well, first the QN900A of course but now this one is out. I plan on purchasing the QN900B and putting it above my fireplace and also purchasing a Mantel Mount (the tv adjustable mount that u can lower and raise) and the BDI tall stand will be to the side which is where I plan on having the One Connect Box. When I lower the Mantel Mount to eye level, I assume a need a 15ft-25ft One Connect Cable. So does Samsung sell longer One Connect Cables if the standard one is not long enough?

B - this conversation comes up every time we up the resolution....first 720/1080, then 4k, and now 8k. The TVs always come out first before the content follows. No director or studio is going to spend the money on an 8k workflow when no one has the technology yet. The first adopters shell out the big bucks first with the "upscaling" features. Then there is a balancing act between studios and the masses finally buying the new tech. I do love tech, but hardly ever the one to shell out for the newest gadget. I will say that the latest 8k LED TVs from Samsung and Sony are impressive to see in person. The pop and brightness is as impressive as the inking blacks of OLED. I would almost do it for that. But really 8k is best reserved for self-emissive tech. Pixels are too cramped for LED tech. 8k non-organic, self-emissive will be the bees knees.

HDR is more relevant than resolution especially 8K. We need more high graded HDR content since televisions such as the S95B are becoming available that can take advantage of its high color volume.

You absolutely can see 4K on a 65â TV compared to a standard 1080 HD set, though It may depend on the content that you are watching. Yes, 8K on a 65â is most likely a waste.

On 65 or better size tvs 8k os the only ay to go 8k looks so much nicer when you get the bigger screen size. No one should be buying a tv based on content you should be buying for features that fit your needs. If you want a premium tv experience that's what the 8k models give you. Upscalling is bad, returned mine QN95 65" brand new TV, there is something wrong with recent Samsung TV's in general.
Upscaling and refresh rate is most important to me.
When purchasing a TV my primary considerations are picture quality and getting the specific features that are most important to me. If a 4K TV offers me everything I want at a lower price than an 8K TV, I will DEFINITELY buy the 4K TV. For my purposes, 8K is pointless. I don't sit so close to the screen that 8K resolution will make any difference, and I have no 8K source material. Several years from now, if and when 8K material becomes widely available, I will consider investing in an 8K TV. At that future date, 8K models will be even better than they are today. I have absolutely no reason to rush out and buy a more expensive 8K TV that won't provide me with any additional benefits than what can be found in the best 4K models that are currently available.
If you are using video, gaming & TV only in the cellar, OLED is o.k. for you. During a normal summer day more than 1000 nits are needed for an impressiv picture pleasure.

Could it be the extra dimming zones or added brightness causing the tv to look slightly more washed out? Tried a bunch of settings and I liked the darker more oled like picture of the 800b. And it was still bright. Please tell me you noticed that too?? I know the 900 is a better tv but I l feel the 800b looked better :( for my taste. LOWERING the ST or BT slider to negative 3 made it look more saturated and less washed out. Something I didnât need to do in the 800. Have you noticed this too?
900B is brighter than 809b , less on the low end. Same
Goes for last years model where the 900A is brighter, but the 800A has better low and not as bright
@@tears2040 thatâs not really what Iâm referring to. But yes it is brighter.
I was all set to buy an 83" A90j, and never even paid attention to any of the 8K models for many of the usual reasons. But when I went to the store and actually saw the 85" QN900A, I was much more imprrssed with it than I thought I would be. Samsung put a lot of extras in the 8K models that they do in the 4K models, not the least of which is the one-connect box. I agree with you that they should do it for all of /heir high end TVTV. Couldn't possibly justify $10k for it, but when I saw it selling on the Samsung website (including a 5% discount for buying it online and a $500credit voucher for future Samsung products, it was hard to pass up. The total price came to just under $4500. Once I got it home and set up, I was even more impressed with it than I was at the store. Size makes a huge difference on this model as the 85" version comes with almost 2000 dimming zones, way more than the 65" and 75" models do. I saw very little blooming in real world scenarios.. And the 900B only has modest improvements. I also think that brightness does matter even in moderately dim rooms. I tend to keep my TVs a long time, and OLEDs just haven't been around long enough to convince me of the longevity. I looked long and hard at OLEDs and after weighing what was important to me, the QN 900A was the right choice. If the TV ever fails the fault will most likely be in the one connect box, which is very easy to replace. The ASTC 3.0 tuner was a plus as well. I think I will be forced to "cut the cord" whether or not I want to because streaming seems to be the future and cable companies will eventually price themselves out of business. Especially with their dismal choice of 4K programming. As for native 8K programming, that is not the reason to buy an 8K TV today. But I personally think it does a pretty good job of upscaling even 480p programming. Just remember, no TV us perfect, so forget what the reviewers say, as their idea of the best TV may not be what you think is!
It is most likely because the 900B is brighter. Dimming zone count I think is actually the same.
I know the 900B 65" has 1344 zones and I know last years 800A had over 1300 zones in 65" as well. So logically it would be the same this year.
Mostly what you get with 900B is that bezel-less look on the TV, upgraded wattage of the speakers and brighter picture.
I bet 800B would be really good in a light controlled room. Slightly less HDR impact, but if not in a bright room it would still look a lot brighter than an OLED in HDR.
It has to do with the pre calibration settings of each tv. Even on the same picture modes the internal settings of each tv are different (gamma, white balance, eotf track, etc). Both of you should calibrate your tvs so they can be on the same standard (D65) and have a fair comparison then you can compare them. đ
As a home theater salesperson at Best Buy I don't usually even try to sell people on 8k TV's I just don't think 8k matters unless you are going bigger than 85 inches. For the most part the tip end 4k models look better for much less money. But I will say if you want to dip your tioes into 8k my store has the 75" QN800A disply model for sal for only $1800 which is crazy because a new one would go for $3000 and at that price I would say 8k is worth it!
Imma need that fr
When there's bright light from a window or lamp, dark areas are hard to see. Details are in a black person's face are hard to make out. I'm sure this is from the TV's up scaling. Otherwise, outdoor colors and clarity are unbelievable on my 75" 800 series.
Could be easier to switch from HDMI views. After I turn off my laptop and turn it on again, there's too many "mouse" movements with the remote.

I think that any tv 85â and larger should be 8K because of clarity and colorfulness. I have the QN900-85â in my bedroom. It feels I am part of the tv show even I am a foot away from the screen. It has almost a 3D effect. And all content will be upgraded to 8K. Iâm so happy to the premium. Try Best Buy because if you donât like it, you can return it in 60 days for total tech member⊠I returned or exchanged all 85inc-4K because they are fuzzy that make me dizzyâŠ.so I bought 85-8k for myself and I never been happy watching streaming contents in my lifeâŠ
My satelite company has 1080p for a HD signal. So I see no need for 4K or 8K because they upscale television and it looks worse. Cable TV looks best with 1080p TV. 4k and 8k is for gaming, and good for computer monitors with a $300 4K or $600 8k graphics card. So most 80% of PC owners don't have a 4K or 8K graphics card. 2048x1536 might be the most common PC monitor which is basically 2K.
