đ€We need to see B cook the family dinner and Jen put her feet up with a glass đ·đ· or two
It could be done. But the food wouldn't be as tasty.
@@BTheInstaller Hey B, how come you didn't compare this TV to the 85" Hisense U7H? It literally fits the "Best 85" TV for under $3000" title more than any other TV, based on how you've and other reviewers have talked about it.
Amazing! Just signed up
That is like $1500. Samsung is brighter.. but I would likely put it up vs x90k and it would win
Purchased the Samsung QN85B 75" from Best Buy last August for $2399. About two weeks after it was installed the price dropped $200.00 and Best Buy did provide a price adjustment. The 75" also dropped again in November to $1999.00 but was to late for another price adjustment at that time even being Total Tech members.
We love it, took a couple weeks to get the picture adjusted. When watching sports we did feel that it was too bright and the colors were over saturated. Turned off all power saving modes and ultimately decided to just have the picture set to "Film Maker Mode" and haven't looked back. The 4 HDMI 2.1 ports and the increased local dimming array zones were what sold me on the model. Zero to minimal blooming with subtitles or in widescreen mode, no rainbow effect with the antireflection screen either.
My brother and dad donât really like Best Buy because I told them of an lg tv going for $2000 and still my brother said to not get it because âBest Buy is an electronic store the prices are jacked upâ (Iâve been trying to go for 80+ inches)
Crazy how far LED TV tech has come in just a few years. So much more bang for the buck across the board, in everything from panel size, to HDR, to blooming control. It's truly a wonderful time to be an AV nerd/enthusiast. Nice to see Jen getting much more comfortable and interactive in your videos, Brandon. Nothing like sharing a hobby with the spouse! That look on her face when you tipped the box back was priceless! đ€Ł
Thank you! I about died for a minute!
Samsung really did their thing with the boxing part. So nice that you donât have to lay it on a big table to put the stand on anymore. especially when sometimes you donât actually have somewhere to lay it down necessarly. I donât have a dining room table anymore, I just have an island in my kitchen and my coffee table. This is so dope
My q90a 85" for 2300 is the bomb. Added q800b with 9500s rears and... I'm so happy with it!
Hey guys, I appreciate all your hard work, a video of this awesome TV Stand
That one air bag TV protection can be a new airbed for kids. đ Love watching you guys. I like your TV comparisons. Looking forward to 2023 TV comparisons. đ
Great video and informative. What do think between the QN90B 75 inch and the TV you were trying out?
I almost bought the 85 inch but settled on the 75 Inch. Thank you
Thanks for the review.
Another great review sir! As stated you wanted to review the best 85" tv "under $3,000" ... Don't understand why some folk were asking about comparisons of TV's like Sony's Z9k that cost close to $10,000! đ
I REALLY like the center-type stand, but I really wish they made it a bit wider and even heavier for the 85" model, because then it would probably feel more secure.
I like center stands but the tv I have (a tcl 65 inch) itâs still wobbly with the legs, Itâs nothing with my tv stand but still weird slightly
love your reviews .... and Jen is your secret weapon, she is a delight
Nice review keep up the good work B the installer
I got the QN85B 75" for $1250 on my companies affiliated link to samsung a few weeks ago in December. If your company has an affiliation with Samsung check to pricing, there. Watching football with apple TV has been awesome!
I want to upgrade to an 75â because my space will accommodate that size. Right now I have the Sony 65â A9G. I love it but looking for something better. You guys do an excellent job at showing off the different TVS keep up the good work
Thanks for watching!
another great video, thanks so much đ
Hey B, great videos. In the 85/86 inch size which had better reflection handling. The QN85b or the LG QNed85?
Top of the rage! Samsung TV...I'm going to buy one soon. Probably 75"...
Thank you. I knew more screws went in the TV stand.
Thanks!
I LOVE THE FACT THAT JENN TAKES CARE OF HER PHYSICAL BODY. SHE LOOKS AMAZIN !!!
The thumbnails get me every time. Well played...
Lol
hi B, I have watched a number of your TV reviews now that I'm in the market for a new 85" TV. No doubt you are my favorite channel, super interesting as well as informative.
I have been considering Sony X90L and Samsung QN85C. I have always been a Sony fan, and have more faith in their quality and reliability. However, my recent trip to BestBuy kind of sway my mind a bit. The QN85C seems to have much better picture and also a very slim body. Can I get your thoughts on which is the better one to buy?
Thanks for the Video. Which Lowboard do you have? Whats the Depth and can we get it in Germany?
That is the light bleeding or blooming of LED tvs with local dimming zones. Most have it and Samsung may be better. OLED tvs won't have that issue and direct lit led won't either but lack the deep contrast these can have.
I dont know if you have turned OFF the various power saving features before the tests? It tends to mess up with the picture quality and the lighting scenes as you have said in your earlier videos..
I watch your channel a lot man your content is great. Iâm a professional TV installer as well and filmmaker. I love the LG oleds as Iâm a gamer as well. I think going above 77 inch with LG isnât cost effective I really want a good 85 inch TV as good as oleds for a reasonable price 3000-4000 budget

Hey B I ordered the 8k 85in Neo Qled from Samsung, but it's the 2022 model. I bought it for $2,499. It gets delivered this Monday â€
Just the fact of unboxing a huge TV, something you've worked hard for and deserve, can put one in a good mood â€đ I'm stoked.
You can't really beat that for pricing and size. I paid 3500 for 77" and I'd probably take a 85" over it so well done.
@@BTheInstaller Yeah I thought it was a good deal, the 2023 QN800B 85inch was around $1,500 more expensive a significant difference in price. Well after looking into the specs of the 2022 model, and seeing that it is 120hz and also "Neo" Qled, I knew I couldn't go wrong with it. I only added a 2yr warranty to it, Ill eventually add more in the future. After taxes and warranty it came out to $3,020. Not too bad, sending love from Cali B. đâ€ïž
Nice video - I just ordered the 85" QN85B through Samsung via the EPP program. Right now it's $1609.
I'm thinking about getting it, I'm coming from a 2018 set with good HDR but lots of blooming during panning shots and gaming. This or 65" Oled B2 for $1300?
I just picked this set up. đł WOW!!!! AWESOME PICTURE
@@clickonmyprofile886 what did I win?
i plan on getting the 65 inch of this model looks really good.
Here we go again with Brandon and Jenn with the big ass TV. Good job you guys are doing.
Yes literally BIG ASS.;)
Thanks for providing all the information.. I have 5 yrs old samsung 4k, my new tv will be 8K.. which one do you recommend sir? Should I wait because not many contents are out there for 8k?
I buy this same tv Black Friday and I love it
Another great tv and video B. Love the chemistry between you and your wife. I guess chemistry is important in a marriage đ
Looking at going for this as an upgrade from the same brand/model 58â 4k, always felt the one I have is a little dim in terms of brightness
Hey, what are the most important differences between the 85qn85b and the 85qn90b? I think they are very similar?
Struggling with the picture settings on my TV, can you help with what you think is the ideal settings according to you?
I am waiting for the samsung 85" qn95c and the Hisense 85ux mini led I had a lg 83" c2 which I had to return due to some issues with lg did you see both the tvs I listed above and if so which one would you recommend that's closest to oled ?
Great review! I always wondered how you repackage the TVs to send them back after being reviewed. It doesnât seem like the protective plastic screen film can be re-applied and the styrofoam and box seem like they are pretty beat up after opening. How do you do it? Do the manufacturers send someone to do it? Do you do it yourself? What about all the protective materials that canât be reused? How is the TV protected during its journey back to the manufacturer?
The film won't go back on, but B has been unpacking and packing tvs for years, so he's quite the pro with repackaging!
Hey B Installer great choice please donât forget to do a game hub demo it was great connecting with you in CES!
Hey what's up? Yeah I showed my son, he needs to connect his Xbox pass to it. Have a good one.
Finally a review of the 85"... Every other review is on the 55 / 65 sizes which use a different panel. I think this is the 85" to get if you can grab it on sale. (Seen as low as $3500 CAN)
Should be on sale shortly for superbowl. Or the hisense u7h
At 85â would you recommend the QN90B for around $400 more?
How is the off angle viewing on the QN85B 85 INCH?
Do you still have this TV ?? If so does it have the Philips Hue app.
B...I always love the way you introduce your wife. God bless you guys
Real love. Have a good one
I was in Best Buy and that was the exact tv I liked from the Samsung displays! Still prefer Sony tvs!
Lovely packaging design to fit the stand. Alas No Dolby Vision no sale .
So lm looking to get 85" q80c .would it be worth the size sacrifice to get a 75" qn85c ? My last buy was a 65" q70 about 3 or 4 years ago. Trying to stay in that price range of what a 85" q80c cost ?
Would you buy this over the QNED 85 ?
Hi, I like watching you. Always something interesting. Greetings from Poland :)
How is it with this PWM flicker in Samsung TVs, because of different opinions I'm afraid to buy qn91b :(
Are you going to do an in-depth review of this TV?
How do you guys clean the screen, i dare touch it as it qled. But now i have smudgy bits on it. And i dont like it.
Can you do a video on the Samsung Q80b 85â have not seen a review on that TV yet on the internet, good video by the way thanks for your content always
I have the q80b 75 inch, and it looks amazing I have never has any issues with it. Samsungs amazing tvs
Nice review - sometimes 'blooming' can be more a trick of the eye too. On my 2 year old LG CX OLED - a one time I thought 'hang on there's some blooming around the text on movie credits. However if you put your hand just over the text (without actually touching the screen) the 'apparent ' blooming disappears - it isn't actually there - your eyes seem to trick you it seems?
Probably, but if you see excessive halo around bright object, consult an eye doc
I have an qn95b but i always see people talking about an oled is the difference that good? Shoul i sell this one to buy an oled?
Great video
Iâm still trying to understand why the 85â the frame cost almost 2x the price of this one. Is the art feature worth that much?
Iâm in the market for this particular 85â from Costco and I personally own a small 32â the frame.
I just bought the 86in uhd neo samsung for 1900cad.
Love your videos, we are looking for a 85 inch and was told Sony makes several that are in the 2500 range, anything you can suggest that would have the low profile legs or even a Samsung Qled thanks
Did you watch the video ? I went over a bunch of 85' at end as I said would. Also the quiz on my website.
can a person put it on the wall instead of stand ?please answer quickly. thank you
Hey B, love your videos man! I might be purchasing the 83 A90J this weekend! Will it still have the evo panel and have you heard anything on when Sony is announcing their 2023 TV line up? So ready to hear about this 77 A95L!!
This was on sale at 2299 and then at 1600 with AAA discount, had to scoop
It's on sale right now in the 85 inch for $1,249, 2 for under $2,500.
Model year 2021 qn90a 85in on-sale at Best Buy for $2299.
So which one.....
Qn90a vs Qn85b????
At 2:30 I yelled after thinking you were about to eat the corner of that mantel! đ€
What's up everybody!! Saw today's video! I always wonder đ€ you and your team (the wife đ), put those big screens back in the boxes after each video đč đ€??
For a dark basement, will an OLED be that much better when it comes to blacks and contrast? Can't decide between this 85-in versus a 77-in C2. Can get both for about $2,400.
Im in the same position, I think im going with the 85 inch QN90B , not really into springing the extra money for the 83 inch C2.
i know this is off the tangent but you have a cute wify!
what a goofie looking stand for such a huge TV. I always stick with Sony nowadays, I've had too many samsungs blow out on me. Great review!
As an A/V integrator we typically stray away from Costco models which the 85QNBD is. What made you review this one versus the national model?
Honest question. Why does it matter to you that Costco sells it?
how many lines of native resolution does this tv have
I didnât know Jen had a role in Law & Order 14:20
The cardboard boxes the new tvs come in are not as good or as strong as they used to be my 60 inch pioneer kuro elite the box was really nice quality
How is DV on this TV?? :)
Here for the cake and from what I can tell thereâd be value in a tank top
My retailer sells this for 1599$ on sale, I think I will buy it
Got my 85â QN95B for $2599 for 2022 Black Friday. Crazy how good LED technology has come. Although I still love my LG OLED more, this QLED it almost 90% there. Still an amazing TV.
Your one connect box alone makes your QN95B better than your LG OLED⊠đ
LG has yet to reach the giant of Samsung screens, and Samsung is the leader of TVs, and the capabilities of Samsung TVs are much better than LG's.
@@dfxamirr if people are gamers (Iâm one) lg is the best for games
What does that tv weigh like would like to mount it on the wall where my 75 Qn75Q70RAF
QN90 85" was just $1900 2 weeks ago. Now it's back to $3200
Is there enough of a difference, in your opinion, to go with the QN90 over the QN85? Or are the improvements not worth the $400 difference? Thanks.
My dad has the QN90. I have the LG C2. Honestly, both are ridiculously incredible. I love the brightness of the QN series but the colors of an OLED are insane. Seriously, you can't go wrong not even with an QN85. You'll love it!
@@wombat5252 good to know. Iâve got a 55â B2 OLED in my living room, and this will be for our basement weâre getting finished. Been back and forth on a 75â vs 85â purely bc Iâm not sure an 85â will get down my staircase, and also trying to nail down the model. The QN90 is expensive, but like they say, âbuy once, cry onceâ
85â QN90B is $2700 right now on Best Buy. I think is a great TV for the money.
How many tvs do you own?
how will you access those ports in the back if youâre gonna wallmount it..?đ
Why did you leave out the Hisense 85" U7H that you reviewed which you liked very much and said it was comparable with the higher end brands? What's up with that?
Yeah, I don't understand either. That was a very important comparison that he missed. It literally fits the "Best 85" TV for under $3000" title more than any other TV. First TV that comes to mind when you ask that question. Definitely should compare the two even if it's in the comments.
Any idea if Hisense will add an 85" to the U8H lineup?
@@Brett_Nebraska No. Apparently they will add that size for the new "K" series. 'UK8'
@@robtrombino8943 hm, dang ok thanks
Cause Hisense brand name is ugly..
I just purchased a 85 inch QN90B for 2023 Memorial Day sale for $2,299. đ
Isn't the 85 inch of a newer model under $3000 now? Could have sworn I just saw it on Best Buys site.
Would you go with 85â LED TV or 77â OLED TV for similar prices? Regular news, sports, Movie watching and gaming.
It is always a tough call. I like oled slightly better but size even more. So I'd probably find an 83" OLED. Most people should get bigger screen
i wish they made this TV in a curved screen version
I love your videos but many of us live in an apartment.
Could you do a few videos on tv's that are 55 & 65 inches wide please ?
I don't think I could put a 75 inch tv in my living room as I would have to move a lot of stuff.
I currently have a 2014 Sony Bravia 43 inch and would love to upgrade.
It still works fine but I bought the same model for my girlfriend on the same day at Fry's and hers died !
She went and bought a 43 Inch LG 4K at Best Buy & it works great but I have vision issues and use my tv as a monitor for my Silicon M1 Mac mini and want to upgrade to it and also upgrade my Blu Ray player to 4K as well.
Finally, in 2025 I will be buying the Mac mini Pro which will support 8k.
I don't know if you have done any videos on 8k tv's.
I love watching your videos.
I'm surprised you didn't edit that out, instead you just looked at the camera and smiled. Hehe. Has your wife watched this video?
I still think the Sony 85" X90K is the best bang for your buck and it's under 2k.
ive gone for the 85 inch QN85C for $3,888AU saving $2,111AU in a Black Friday special. get it delivered Wednesday. Im guessing its pretty much the same as the QN85B? great vid.
I haven't seen it but it's been solid for 2 years, so this is the 3rd year. Enjoy
@BTheInstaller thanks. quick extra question. did you notice any blooming while watching sports? I have the 75 inch X90J and I notice it when players in particular if they have a white uniform on that it will kinda light up around the particular player. I'm really sensitive to it and it's put me off going the 90L as I think it will do it. any local dimming setting enabled on the 90J I noticed it. cheers.
On your TV stand why don't you put wheels on it they have the canister wheels at IKEA or ace hardware
85" TVs are very big but the thumbnail centers on something even bigger.
This, the Sony x90l or something else?
