    I have this gene. Just overcame Cancer. Now I'm doing keto and just ordered some vitamins.

    I found out backwards. I read that B9 and B12 are good for depression. After 19 years of suffering and multiple different meds I'm free. Not 50, 60 or whatever percent free. I'm 100% free. My neurogenesis is back to normal. My sense of smell is back to normal. I'm calm as never before. And for the first time since forever I can rest.

      @@veenela296 I wrote everything in the comment above. Right now I'm trying to switch on diet only. With GOOD results. Spinach, kale, sprouts and lots of other goodies. After a well prepared salad I'm feeling like a new man.

      Through just the B supplements and diet you are 100% and Med free? I’m trying to learn for my daughter. Thank you

      @@margaretjongebloed6386 Yes. Exactly. Right now my routine works like that. I wake up and take 1000mcg of methyl-B9 and 800mcg of methyl-B12 (I take products of company called Vitbay - works for me). Form is vital. It should be pure stereoisomer that is biologically safe. I eat my first meal when I'm hungry. Around 12-14. And it is specially prepared salad. With natural sources of methyl-B9. What is also SUPER important in my case is to take some extra right before intensive training (I take b-complex plus - company Pure). If I don't do it then next day or 2 days after I will feel my symptoms coming back. Not with full force but nevertheless nothing pleasant. I am experimenting with giving up supplements completely. Right now I don't have a prepared working workflow.

    What do you do young children who inherited this gene from mom and dad?

    Some strange, inane, irrelevant background white noise makes this very hard to listen to but with sound off it is possible to read the captions.

    Heavy metals can also cause issues with mtfhr correct? This needing to take methyl B12 and folate to help with detox?

    What can happens if you take these supplements without knowing if you have the gene mutation defect?

    • @voiceofreason1829

      Nothing

    • @carrie8611
      @carrie8611 Před 2 lety +1

      There are a few mutations that will impact your tolerance to methyl donors. Mainly, homozygous COMT met met. If you don't know your status, supplementing is still a great idea, just may want to avoid the methyl versions. You could also start slow and see how you tolerate
