- This is our first video in our upcoming Winnipeg Food Tour/Review Series called: Let's Try This!
First, let's try one of the most popular Filipino food! Sisig!
We went to Mar's Sisig to try out their food but most especially their trademark dish...PORK BELLY SISIG.
Do you wanna try Mar's Sisig? Check out their Facebook page:
/ mars-sisig-restaurant-...
Shout out to Luke Sellick for the sweet, sweet drone footage!
Sisig is the best pork dish in the world according to the Late Anthony Bourdain.
Yep. He even said its good with beer. I agree.
Not being a hater here but Anthony Bourdain doesn't speak for the world. But yes sisig is delicious and the only way to gain its title the best in the world if judges like guiness will say it is.
@@adrianravena6519 guinness is not a food critic. Guinness records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.
@@MysticRose99 well said😎
@@adrianravena6519 Guiness is about world records idiot, it's impossible for them to measure how delicious a food is, since there's no scale for it..
no wonder kung bakit napaka sarap ng silog nila jan dahil Kapampangan ang restaurant, they served the original version of our sisig, nice job Cabalen
I've tried sisig before and I cant get it off my mind. It is soooo delicious. Filipino food is way better than Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese food.
Why are you hiding your food ? tell me Philippines.
Because it is food for the Gods.
we aint hiding it people are just put off coz it's *not* just pork. real sisig has crushed chicken liver.
Lmao why are you hiding your food hahaha
I agree!!!! Open your restaurants!
the thing about filipino food its what we called "lutong bahay" which literally means "home cooked". so restaurants would just like how filipino prepare their food. i guess thats why it feels very comforting for some people because it just reminds them of eating at home, even if its culturally different for their own background.
The key to eating Filipino food is to have the rice and whatever dish you're eating together in one spoonful. The rice balances out the strong flavors of many dishes..😃
Inuulam ko nga ung lugaw eh
I eat the viand in small portions and eat 2 big spoonful of rice.
.
.
At least once upon a time. I can't do that shit anymore... :(
@@TheTruth70777 hehehe only salt for me is enough
You know what’s better than using vinegar for tapa?, papaya relish or what we call achara, that vinegary taste with a bit of sweetness surely compliments the saltiness of the tapa imo 🤤🤤wish i could eat some right now
I can Imagine the taste and my mouth is sweating rightnow🤤😂
My mouth watered when you said the papaya pickles.
I "papak" atchara when I was younger and never really know what to do with. I never know it can be a side dish. My oh my. I'm gonna try that soon. Sounds delish
Yeah, atchara is the best combination… yummy!
Pinoy breakfast so simple but looks delicious!!!... And satisfying..!!!
Mabigat sa tiyan. Busog talaga kahit malapit nang magtanghalian.
I'd eat that anytime with beer
@@franklimen9145 oo tapos minsan pag nagigising kami ng mga madaling araw mga 5 pandesal at kape pag nga 8 na sinangag at longganisa or tuyo itlog basta ulam pag breakfast
Even here in Australia, that’s my Breakfast 😍😊😊👍 thanks for uploading.. more power to your channel 👌😊👍
Thanks so much Winnie!
Oh where in australia? I was in sydney looking for tapsi and sisig..
WHAT? then why do you look fit on your picture?
oh wait tapsi. I thought sisig every breakfast lol. Imagine the calories.
Wag naman ganunnnnnn... .. naglalaway ako alam mo ung laway mo biglang umakyat sa bibig mo sabay lunok ulit haha relate ka din ba🤣
I'm gonna eat that soon too.we will be there in Philippines this Weekend.hoho.Thanks Guys you made me Hungry.Great you enjoyed P'noy Food.love your Reaction.💝👌
u should try sisig with very cold beer
Pampanga has the best sisig in the whole country .
Just be careful with your cholesterol level hehehehe!
Try Trellis in Kalayaan Ave in Quezon city.
Philippines is closed we transfer it somewhere in some continent..you will not find it..
what blew me away was koreans reaction to sisig and lechon kawali. they said " they wish they were born in the Philippines". i have worked 7 years outside of the phils and food is the item that always comes to my mind everyday. like world food lacks the colors of the rainbow.
Best ever reactions,not fake!
Winner winner Chicken dinner
00:15 Your transitions are sublime. I vlogged about baboy (pork) and sinigang in Spain and it was the best I ever tasted. Thanks for showing us a Canadian version. Keep up the great works guys. Filipino food is the best!
Filipino food is fantastic. It really surprises me that it’s not more well known.
Enjoy Filipino food!Love your reactions!!!Hope more videos from you guys about the Philippines! 👍 👍😄❤️
I've tried this food in siargao iland all I can say is that this is the best food while drinking 🍺🍻🍺
I've also eat Letchon pork it's so good damn.👍
Try also chicken adobo legs wew🤩
Thank you for your wonderful feedback in our food.. :)
70% of the pinoys wants sisig and eat sisig all day..
Sisig + Toyo with Calamansi = Heaven!
Heaven with matching beer..
I love Sisig came from Davao city
Love the 2 sunny side up egg served, the way it is cooked, runny egg yolks!! yum!! :D
As Filipino heres is my spoon mix,
1. Tapa, Egg, Rice and Catsup
2. Sisig and Rice..
But you know I cant eat too much like what you did guys haha, maybe when i feel too hungry.
That guy in the red checkered shirt? He should have his own vlog.. 😊🤭 my 3rd time watching this video..
Damnn this makes me so hungry!!!. My Mouth is Watering so much.
I'm already hungry just watching you guys heavenly facial expressions. I am amazed how delicious everything presented to you guys. Great reactions and thanks for the share. God bless
I love this guy in checkered.... So much fun to watch.... 😚😚😚
Some of the crunchy comes from pork rinds in sisig.
💖💖💖
There's no pork rinds in the dish. I've tried that before. It's like fat, cartilage and a little meat in it
@@___Anakin.Skywalker Yeah it can be like that too, there are slight variations.
Hi there! I'm Wayne... From the Philippines, glad to know you enjoy our local food. For sisig... It would have been better if you crushed the chili or put some tabasco hotsauce and added some soy sauce... It is considered as the most perfect beer match here in the country. You can also have it cooked in many different ways... My personal favorite is Tuna Sisig.😁
Just came across this channel and got excited w pinoy food. Btw, I suggest to squeeze the kalamansi (looks like little lime) on the sisig. Melbourne, Australia, Fil-Aussie here.
We did try it with the calamansi! It was so so good!
Wow, you guys just made me hungry. Those are like the best Filipino soul food ever!
That's heaven. Spread the word, Filipino food is the bomb! Hehe
Sisig and Beer perfect combo 😅😊
I dont have doubt about the foods when i heard the voices in the background speaking kapampangan.sisig was born in pampanga
capampangan la deng mkabandi ken neh..oh daramdaman ko mgcapampangan eh...hehehe
Nya pala manyaman.
Close your eyes to really appreciate the flavour. Use your senses means closing your eyes to really enjoy the food.
I just don’t know on how can you go wrong eating Filipino sizzling Sisig! Every foreigner who tried this fell in love with it including the late Anthony Bourdain who unknowingly introduced this dish to the world. To some? This became an obsession to have and I’ve heard that some people actually hogged it for theirs and refusing to share because it’s so good! 🤗🤗🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰
Welcome to the world of Filipino food guys. Love your reactions.,..
Ohhhhmmmmayyyy Dig in!!! I just wanna give a Biiìggggggggg THUMBS UP!!!! 🖒👍👌👏👏👏 on how the man makes his reaaaactionssss each time he puts the flavour in his mounth its LIT MAN!!!
Oh my.. you made me hungry.. all are comfort of Filipinos.. love from The Philippines 😍
I am so glad that you guys enjoyed these traditional Filipino food. ThNk you and hope you enjoy even more.
our food is savory not a dull food. perfect breakfast for Filipino.
That's a breakfast,lunch,dinner for me.....filipino style....that's who we are filipinos...
This makes me drool and the relaxing music at the background is amazing.
Am I the only one shouting "squeeze the calamansi!"
Me too😅
I've got to come to Winnipeg soon and try Mar's Sisig!! You guys made it look so scrumptious!
Maglalaway ka talaga pag ganyan ang pag kaen.haha
First time i had sisig, i loved it. I’m a Mexican dude trying foods and went to Phil’s, probably my fave. I just needed tortillas with it to make some tacos!! Ha! Only thing that was missing.
Where do you live? Because there are so many sisig taco/burrito places out there.
@@rygregory I was in Pampanga, would have loved to known of some places. Going again next month to see my in laws.
I knew it! It must have tasted that good because the owners are Kapampangan ❤️☝🏻
Sisig goes well with beer
Enjoy eating Filipino dish. Bless you guys.💗🙏
That actually looks like pork tocino if it tastes candied. Pork tocino is sweet. Pork tapa is not sweet, at least when you get legit pork tapa made in Batangas.
Yes! In Taal. The best
@@iou4440 as a Batangueño, i agree
@@kyphroshalck21 hi KaBatang!
tocino yan kulay palang eh ung sa lalaki tapa talaga
Love the video folks! Ask Mar's if they have "Longanisa" sausages next time. You're in for a real treat!
I`m so pleased looking at you guys enjoying our food. Try our lechon, you`ll go "crazy" , it`s my very favorite food.
Thank you for liking our Filipino food
Reason why it's so good. The cooks probably were Kapampangan. I can hear them talking at the background. That's the original Kapampangan Sisig. Without egg and mayo. All that fatty goodness.
Thank youfor appreciating our Filipino cuisine. I suggest next time you should try Bulalo, squid adobo, danggit and humba. Humba is like pork adobo but instead of vinegar we use pineapple juice. It iis a great food, also pork chicharon and our native lechon and lechon kawali. For sweets and pastry their is leche flan, halo halo, bibingka, turon and pastillas
Don't you ever forget coffee in that meal every morning.
to die for......and let the rain pour. mama mia.
@@altondr now thats a mood ☺
The background voices 2:22 . They speak "Kapampangan" one of the dialect in the Philippines. Their province "Pampanga" is known for Culinary Capital of the Philippines. Kapampangans are known for their cooking and I'm not surprise if your food there is delicious because of the chefs in that restaurant.
i love the reactions, they really enjoying our dish.
Congrats on a good introduction to Filipino food. Maybe next time they eat there they can learn how to use the utensils Filipino style, with the spoon in the right hand and the fork in the left hand. Also there should be a serving spoon or fork for the main dishes that are for sharing. I'm sure they will be coming back, right?
Traditionally pork cheeks were used i think because of how cheap it is compared to pork belly which has an amazingly balanced ratio of meat, skin and fat. Im from Nueva Ecija so we do put mayo on our sisig and fried egg sometimes (not all the time) plus sometimes a little pieces of liver here and there gives the flavor so much depth (think of Banh Mi pate)
Moved here in Australia about 6 years ago and im proud to say i make a mean sisig
those reaction are really genuine!!
You guys are awesome! this so mouth watering video 😩🤤
You guys are fun! Loved it
Many thanks from Philippines
Will definitely be going to Mar's soon! Thanks for the recommendation and for making me super hungry 🤤
Try Pork Sinigang, Bulalo, and Pork Adobo next time. 😋
2:18 Kapampangan in the background. LOL
Kaya pala masarap!
oh kumwa kung pera ne....kukuha daw ng pera.
maw kumwa kung pera ne...un pala un.libre lahat yan kinain nila basta kapampangan manyaman.
adali me tol ...
Kaya pala matamis ang pork tapa hahaha. Baka pork tocino talaga yun.
I'm so loving their reactions and thank you guys for eating that. Sisig is literally heaven. 😍😍
And thanks for watching!!
Love their reactions

Hahaha...i love it everytime Aaron tried everything...a great foodie...love to dine with these peeps!!!!
I feel very proud that foreigners love our food😇😍good reaction
No mayonnaise
No egg
= authentic Kapampangan Sisig! O yeah! :)
I'm salivating! Yummy!!!
That beef tapa serving is generous i tell you that
yet they still have rice leftovers
@@GenIus-zm3qf I think because they're not used to rice. And rice feels heavy.
@@3k3k97 well, meat is heavier than rice.
Nice vlog for the first episode ,i think the way you react about those savory foods are came from your heart 👊👊👊🤘🤘🤘
-ph
Omg...I’m salivating now 😋 sisig is best as well with cold beer 🍺
nakakagutom naman ang vlog na 'to, lahat ng paborito kong pares ang nilalantakan n'yo, naglalaway na tuloy ako, wala pa naman yan dito sa area ko, lalo na 'yong pork bbq kasi bawal ang pork dito.
I was eating and watching you increases my appetite.

makes me hungry. I miss eating filipino breakfast back home. 😋😋😋
Andrew Zimmern and Anthony Bordain love Sisig
I like the way they let it try the 1st flavor than with condiment. Then last with chili paste that made me hungry in an instant. That last thing needed was achara
From ontario watching you guys eating delicious food from Philippines now im hungry
