  • On any given day, one in 32 Wildcats experiences housing insecurity. They may be crashing with friends, living in their vehicles, or residing in a shelter. Despite facing challenges, these students are determined to graduate from college, and Chico State is helping them achieve that goal.
The University's Basic Needs Rapid Re-housing Program is a leader in the California State University system for its comprehensive support of students in need of safe housing. Since 2016, the program, in partnership with two local nonprofits, has provided personalized care to help students who are facing homelessness, potential eviction, and other housing crises.
