I always appreciate the diversity of your picks for year-end or in this case half-year-end albums. It's one of the reasons why I keep coming back to your channel because you are truly not restricted by genre boundaries. As a possible video idea I'd love to see your favourite songs of the year as a comparison and contrast to your albums. Here are my favourites of the year so far:

When it comes to Green Day I recently discovered (this didn't use to be the case) that the only song I want to listen to from them is "Basket Case" I did check out the first track from the new record. It was ok, I'm glad they're doing well. My top shit this year is all metal all the time but some of it not very trve - Caligula's Horse, Myrath, Mega Colossus on one hand, with Aborted, Ten Ton Slug and Vulture on the other. A lot of great records have also received less than 4 spins from me which I hold as kind of a threshold for evaluating an album but I'm sure with time they would be in the "great" category - Noxis, In Vain, Trog, Vredehammer for example. I grew up with Green Day, so the new album was a bit of a nostalgic, fun block for me! It’s not my favourite of the year, though.
I’ve also been enjoying the new albums by Dödsrit, Conifère and Rotting Christ.
