WooHoo 🎉going down 39 blushes is so good! I’m a blush fanatic like Jordana and it’s hard for me to get rid of them! You have a lot of Mac blushes like I do. ❤ Haha lol I don’t blame you for going up so much on liquid/cream blushes but you get a lot of gifts unlike myself. I have no self control I have one of those large 5-drawer where all the drawers are the same size and bottom drawer is larger just stuffed with cream/liquid blush and highlighter lol!😮❤😊 I’ve always loved your blush collection.
I totally hear you when it comes to the lipsticks. I’ve tried using some of my older ones like the wonder beauty one and it was so old that the bullet just broke off and fell off. Same thing with liquid lipsticks, sometimes I go to use them and they’re completely dried out so I think as you try to use the older ones they’ll just automatically weed themselves out.
Love your inventory videos and your attitude towards your collection and panning. It's all very organic and you follow your own speed. I know I have an immense amount of make-up especially eyeshadows and lip products😅I want to use my make up to get the enjoyment out of it and am open to give away make up I don't use BUT I don't want to feel pressured or overwhelmed by my stuff and feel a need or duty to do one of these huge declutters. But looking around there almost seems to be an expectation sometimes that you have to be ashamed off or hate or freaked out by having a lot of make up solving that by just plain throwing /giving away the already existing paid for items. No one has enough "friends and relatives" to give away dozens of anything and guarantee it's being used. Maybe if you're supplying a lay theatre company 😂

We aren’t allowed to be makeup collectors anymore, only makeup users and to be as minimalist as possible. 🙄The beauty community can be very judgemental, even though back in 2016 the trend was to have a huge makeup collection. Now everyone is supposed to be minimalist. I also have a huge makeup collection especially eyeshadows. I only throw away what is expired based on the smell and texture going off. I throw away only an extremely small portion because I use my stuff up, give it away before it gets old or it lasts for several years because I use clean brushes and clean fingers to do my makeup. If you’re looking to donate lightly used makeup you can send it to Project Beauty Share which distributes and sanitizes makeup to pass along to women’s shelters in Washington. I send them boxes of makeup about 2 to 3 times per year which are my declutters.
I just got judged and a comment was left saying I won’t ever show my eyeshadow collection then she proceeded to say “unsubscribed” you damn if you do damn if you don’t 🙈
I have powder products like blush/highlighter and bronzers which are 7-8 yrs old a few are 10 and they all work fine still and don’t smell bad. It’s such a waste of money and product to declutter according to expiration date on these categories because they don’t go bad that quickly at all.❤😊
I’m a bit late but loved seeing the inventory! Being 99 items down is amazing! My biggest category is still lip products. I don’t actively buy but sometimes a lipgloss gets me! It’s very rare though. Can’t wait to see your eyeshadow collection! It’s been a long time for you to feel comfortable showing it. Prep yourself for the haters, lol! It’s your collection and if you love eyeshadow and it makes you happy, buy it! I’m fighting retail therapy mode. There really isn’t anything that could make me happy. My dog passed away on Friday morning and I’m devastated.

Yes I have been reaching for the ones I love a lot. The beauty of lip products is there is always a dupe color for almost all the lipsticks I love to reach for. I know I can find something similar I’ll add that list to my shorts! Ill get it up soon

A question: I'm trying to do a replacement only no buy... Apart from very specific staples that would mean only if a category runs out... But I'm in a bit of a dilemma on 3 items. I have 2 super light blushes cool and warm that I use all the time as base for more pigmented blushes, to blend, as eye base etc very helpful for me being very fair. I don't have any other blushes like them so I want to buy replacements but overall I'm trying to reduce my blush collection so I'm not sure if it is right. Then I also got a clear sticky gloss I'm using as basis for creme /satin lipsticks : it actually makes them last longer, lightens colours too intense for me and I don't actually like how lipsticks sit on the lips😬It's perfect for me and I would not wear certain lipsticks without it.. I tried and hated it. So when I empty these items very soon I'm not out of the category and buying new will increase the numbers but I plainly won't use a lot of other items without these helpers. so I guess for me they are staples really but I feel weirdly conflicted about the whole thing 😐
If I was in your position I would actually consider the items that aren’t working for me on their own. If I need to use something to help me with another item then that other item shouldn’t be in my collection. I would declutter and buy the item that fits me without needing help from another product. Hope that makes sense. PS I’ve done this before even if it hurt it worked out in the end 100% better for me
I made an inventory of how much I bought online last year Alex... the number is damn concerning. 0.o I always liked buying online but last year I totally went bonkers with the excuse of vintage clothing is more expensive than dropshipped stuff. Keep in mind that I work full time, I do not own a car, I do not buy much expensive technology (I do not own a smartphone, I own the same laptop since 2016, the same desktop computer since decades, the same camera since 2011) I don't plan to have kids ever or travelling in the next years and that I do not have to pay rent. Please don't judge me too harshly eh... okay. 5800 euros. In one year. For frivolous stuff. OOOOKAY deep breaths *wheezes* That's 483 euros per month, that's like rend money. Uh uh. No bueno. My plan for this year is to cut the spending in half, so this year it would be 2900 euros in a year (still bonkers) so it would be 241 euros per month. If I manage to reach this goal and on average to keep the spending onine at this level I will try to lower the total in 2025 as well. I know myself, if I get too strict all of a sudden I know it will backfire (this is how I ended up last year, I overbought on pay day and I ruined the average the last few days of the month). Wish me luck T.T
