      The teachings by Eddie Chumney are all over CZcams. If you do a search on CZcams, you can find Eddie teaching at many Messianic congregations.
      When I was at Sukkot 2020 hosted by Lion and Lamb Ministries, I heard both Eddie and Rico teaching about the cockcrow in the Temple. This is a wonderful example of the different things a person can learn by attending the different events of which Monte offers at events such as this. Since I have been watching online for the past many years, I have realized I had never heard any of these things being taught in the churches I grew up in. Should you have an opportunity to go to one or more of the events which Lion and Lamb hosts, you will love them. We can then share with others about them as well.

    2 questions: I'm probably missing something right in front of my face but what in Scripture shows you that Zacharias was anointed by the Angel of Yehováh? And where do you read that the angel was Gabriel? The angel that appeared to Mary and Joseph was Gabriel but where does it say the angel that appeared to Zacharias was Gabriel? (Not saying it wasn't, it seems likely that the angel was Gabriel but I'm not finding it, so I'm just asking.) These 2 questions are not meant as argumentative at all. I'm truly just asking to learn. Thank you.

    I have a theory: Melchizedek Priesthood maintained continuity from Jacob through Joseph and forward. Joseph was given the vision of dominion; the sun moon and eleven stars would bow to him (i.e Melchizedek priesthood)---surface and deeper meanings. Jacob prophesied of the (parallel) splitting of the offices of Kingship, Priesthood, 1st Born---Judah, Levi, Ephraim. Both priesthoods exist in parallel then and now. "Joseph" (i.e. Melchizedek Priesthood) will resurface publicly in the Great Tribulation to lead God's people. Again.
    I welcome thoughts, comments, and discussion on this theory.

    Eddie and Miles apparently don't take the book of Jubilees into account, since that's where we see that Jacob gave Levi the priesthood while in Bethel, then Jacob paid tithes to Levi, then the whole family celebrated the first earthly Sukkot and 8th Day! -Jubilees 32. And Aaron was already the Levitical priest at the base of Mt. Sinai...

      @@eve66able Have you read the whole book of Jubilees and found anything that contradicts the Canon of 66 or its foundational principles? MANY believing truth-seekers have read it completely and found it full of truth. The CZcams channel Kingdom in Context has a series of Jubilees videos where they test the book to see if it's good or not.
      My husband and I HAVE found a couple of statements in chapter 50 that appear to contradict the Canon, but translation errors and additions, sadly, are found regularly in any books of the Bible😢 so that, in itself, doesn't disqualify a book.

    Lev.12.8‘But if she cannot afford a lamb, then she shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, the one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she will be clean.’”
    This is the same offering that Melehk Tzeddek King of Righteousness told Abraham to offer.
    This is the offering Mary and Joseph offered for her purification, a poor man's sacrifice. Why do you suppose Mary and Joseph have this link with Melchizadek?

    Totally disagree with this. It says he has no father, no mother... He was not human as far as his real existence. The order of Melchizedek is eternal. Spirit. The first born of israel was to be the priests of each family. Even before Yahweh spoke to Israel at mt sinai they complained about watwyand Yahweh rejected the entire nation inc the first born as priests. When moses came down from the Mount the tribe of levi stood with moses and then was chosen as the priestly tribe. Replacing the first born who had beeen saved by the passover lambs in egypt.
    Hebrews tells us exactly what the order of Melchizedek is. And yeshua is in that order. A high priest who offered himself once for all.
    The priesthood changed then as did the promise. But not the law as many claim. The promise went from animal sacrifices that were to be done in the promised land. The new sacrifice was once for all and the hope went from a land to eternity just like the Melchizedek priesthood. Spirit and eternal.
    All of this you can carefully read in genesis, isaiah, psalms, and hebrews.
    Dont believe me or anyone else. Prove it for yourself.

    • @lawrencecigary2134
      @lawrencecigary2134 Před měsícem +1

      Don't totally disagree so quickly. This teaching is about THE ORDER of MalkiyTzedek, not "THE KING of RIGHTEOUSNESS" himself. Yes, THE King of Righteousness had no father, no mother...He was not human as far as his real existence and THE ORDER is eternal/spiritual. BUT, as it is in the courts of heaven/the spiritual world, so it is reflected on earth i.e. the tabernacle's components etc. So this is about the playing out/reflecting of THE ORDER on earth. Yeshua is THE KING of RIGHTEOUSNESS and appeared to Abram in His pre-incarnate form. Yeshua is not IN THE ORDER, He IS "THE KING of RIGHTEOUSNESS" who is reflected in THE ORDER as played out on earth. You're thinking Greco-Roman linearly instead of Hebraic cyclically, as in the beginning so in the end etc. Yeshua did not become a MalkiyTzedek priest, He WAS THE MalkiyTzedek High Priest before Adam existed and, after He emptied Himself and completed his assignment on earth He returned to eternity and His office as THE KING of RIGHTEOUSNESS/MalkiyTzedek High Priest, sat down, is waiting for His enemies to be under Him so He can bring the real deal-not a reflection of the KING of RIGHTEOUSNESS/MalkiyTzedek High Priest-to the earth in His second coming to set up His kingdom and those in THE ORDER will rule with Him. And don't forget to put Ezekiel in your reading along with genesis, isaiah, psalms, and hebrews. YHWH told him there will be a temple in the kingdom with the sons of Tzadok serving as Levitical priests...forever. Makes you think about what is called the "sacrificial system" is really all about if there's still a temple priesthood in the kingdom. The offerings-not sacrifices as the pagans did to their idols-were to re-establish fellowship with YHWH after realizing unintentional disobedience to Torah. There was no offering for blatant, intentional disobedience to Torah. That blatant, intentional disobedience deserves death and is what Yeshua covered with His offering/His death as THE MalkiyTzedek Highpriest. Halleluh-Yah.

    If we are going to quote Jewish sources, then Nedarim 32b:8 says: The Gemara comments : And this is as it is written: “And he was priest of God the Most High”(Genesis 14:18), which emphasizes that he, Melchizedek, is a priest , but his children will not be priests.

  • @davidheilbronprice145
    @davidheilbronprice145 Před měsícem +2

    There is a great need to discuss the Melchizedek priesthood. However much is lost by the lack of logic. Adam was not a Melchizedek priest because Melchizedek was not born. Melchizedek was alive at the time of Abraham. He is 'without father and without mother' Heb7:3. The Greek means fatherless, motherless that is an orphan. (Everyone has a father except God! Adam's father was God.)
    Noah died before Abram was born. He had three sons, one of which was the righteous teacher and ruler Shem.
    Melchizedek is identified as Shem who lived so long all his earlier relatives and offspring died before him. Shem's son, Arphaxad, grandson Salah, great great grandson Peleg and great, great, great grandson Reu were dead. Shem controlled Salem as HQ of his part of the world and inheritance from Noah. Shem died when Abraham was 150 yrs.
    The Melchizedek priesthood was set up in his honor by David as an everlasting priesthood of Teachers that combined royal Judaic blood and Aaronic blood. Nathan, David 's son (of Luke 3) was the first of David's priesthood of Teachers, psalm 110. Jesus was named a Melchizedek priest because he had both Judaic and Aaronic pedigree and was and is the Teacher of Righteousness above the Mosaic order.

    • @GatheringJacob
      @GatheringJacob Před 22 dny

      Galatian 3:18&19 are ABSOLUTELY talking about the Mosaic Covenant being added to the Abrahamic covenant. “Because of transgression” is speaking about the fact that the transmission of the Torah from father to son was breaking down, especially when the family moved to Egypt, and transgressions were increasing. The reason being because the Torah was not written down and or being properly passed down. How can we be certain the passage is referring to Torah? Because it says, “having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator…”. This was the angel on the mountain who was the agency of YHWH who transmitted the Torah to Moses. There is nothing in the Exodus passage or in any passage of OT regarding the golden calf incident being the reason why YHWH made the levitical covenant. You are making that assumption, reading your bias into the text, because our OT “cannon” does not tell us why YHWH made a covenant with Levi!! BUT on the contrary the book of Jubilees ch 30 does tell us why the covenant was made with Levi. It was made because of his zeal in his dealings with Shechem when he defiled Levi’s sister Dina. It says in black and white, “For this reason I have commanded you, saying, “Give this testimony to Israel, see how the Shechemites and their sons fared? See how they were delivered into the hands of two sons of Jacob, and they killed them under torture? It was counted to them for righteousness, and it is written down to them for righteousness.
      18 The offspring of Levi were chosen for the priesthood, and to be Levites, that they might minister before Yah, as we do, continually. Levi and his sons will be blessed forever, for he was zealous to execute righteousness and judgment and vengeance on all those who arose against Israel.” Therefore when the time came to build the Tabernacle, the promise to Levi & the priesthood was fulfilled.
