Thank you mate. Been running benchmarks and testing it all day! Once I have all the data I am going to shoot the video and get it uploaded. I am hoping to get 9310 up tonight and 2in1 up tomorrow. Will also put up a separate gaming video too

hi, could you confirm if the charger works on both usb type-c ports? how to deal with connecting monitor, mouse, keyboard, external drive, etc. in a long day? Could you replace the 512GB or you can only add more space?
Hello mate, in answer to your questions: 1. Yes both ports allow charging 2. I would buy a monitor with built in usbc port or get a decent hub the has all the ports you need so you only have 1 cable to connect to the laptop. 3. Yes, on this 9310 you can replace the m.2 ssd. On the 2in1 version you cannot. In this video I compare them and open them up so you can see: czcams.com/video/4YvuSjlqu6U/video.html
Hello! Great video. Subscribed :D I am just about to purchase this laptop (i5/8GB) but I am having some second thoughts after reading some people complain about fan/heat/general QA/QC. I had a few general questions/concerns that maybe you could address just a simple comment :) I have heard that few people complain about dead pixels on the 9310 (Reddit). Did you notice any? Also, was the fan on during browsing the web/working on word & excel, media consumption? Would you say the heating is worse than a Macbook Air? (Sorry that is a weird metric haha) If possible, can you install and run Rocket league (free on Epic games store) to see what kind of frames you're getting at 1080p Thanks a ton!
Hi there, Ok in answer to your questions: 1. no dead pixels at all. 2. the fan wasn't on at all for light use. It only came on when installing programs and updates and even then it wasn't loud. 3. I have only reviewed the i3 MacBook Air and I would say it is probably worse than that but only because it has so much more processing power. you could easily put it on a low power profile and have a cooler laptop on the XPS. I will cover that in the full review. 4. Yes, I can certainly do that. I was planning on doing a game play video on this laptop and I will make sure that rocket league is on the list for you.
The subreddit is used by people to report their problems. Hence, the posts there are highly skewed. That is just a small subset of people facing issues.
Hi Mash! I think we share a lot in common. As much as I like my Huawei laptop but I hate the placement of the webcam; I tried to get used to it but it didn't work me. I also prefer matte screens for work, they're just so much better for focusing on your work and even consuming media with showing minimum reflections if any compared to a glossy screen. Keep up the good work, mate!
Thank mate, appreciate the kind words. I go through a lot of laptops and as love the look of glossy screens they just aren’t practical for real work. The xps matte screen is fantastic! It’s clear with great colours, gets bright and no glare! You also get amazing battery life with it 👍 just had the Lenovo x1 nano in with matte high res screen and that’s great too
