The oculomotor nerve does not originate from the Edinger Westphal nucleus, but rather from the oculomotor nucleus. The Edinger Westphal supplies the oculomotor nerve with it's parasympathetic fibers though.
Yes I agree... To remove contradiction we have to think about nerve fibers( cranial) and nucleus seperately.... There are some nerve fibers named according to their nucleus... like facial, occulmotor, trochlear , facial etc... Some nucleus are shared by the nerve fibers like Nucleus Tractus solitorius, N. Ambiguus, Edenger Westphal nucleus....

at 9:56 mentioning about optic chiasm, you mentioned that the orange nerve is damage while the blue one is not. Can I ask in this case, Is the orange nerve also the optic nerve as well, same as the blue nerve?
I think you are right because I was also confused. I understand it as, if there is damage at the chiasm you will see an Absent PLR and dilated pupils on both eyes.
