I came back two weeks ago from Asturias (My region). Being from there, I always go (Living in Orange County, CA) with a critical eye but I honestly have to say that the scenery, prices, food and people are second to none. So many coves, little villages, mountains and surprises that it is hard not to enjoy it. Amos your Spanish is superb, congrats man and your kids, as usual, trying to always make the best of their surroundings. Such an awesome family! Thank you so much for talking so highly about my region.

it’s magical. But we can imagine some slight similarities between Asturias and Southern California?
California has a lot of beautiful places too. The problem here it is the astronomical cost of living. I just can't believe how expensive is becoming.@@AG3Family

When the pace of life is slow, you enjoy it more. I love that rhythm of life of the Spanish people. There are things that money cannot buy, such as quality of life. I think they chose the right country to live happily.

Me alegra que conocieseis Asturias. Siempre es interesante saber como lo ve alguien de fuera y que además lo puede contraponer con Sevilla, porque son dos zonas muy distintas. Quizás estaría interesante un vídeo de pros y cons de las dos zonas. Tengo amigos extranjeros que siempre me preguntan donde ir a vivir a España. Si pueden teletrabajar y no tienen problemas con la falta de sol, Asturias pero sino el mediterraneo. La gente de ambas zonas es muy abierta.

I'm from Barcelona and my grandparents started going to Asturias on holidays, then my parents and my first trip there I was 6 months old!
We used to go almost ever year, sometimes more than once a year, and I love it so much. It truly is a natural paradise and my favorite place in Spain, if it wasn't because of work I'd move there in a heartbeat.
The last 2 years I've been 4 times with my bf who had never been there and he also loved it! We were just there this August, it's also a good placeto avoid the heat in Barcelona.
PS: Regarding getting close to the cow, my grandpa has a picture there holding the cow by its horn, the cow was sitting and chilling haha

My father is from Aviles, Asturias and I am always mesmerized by the breathtaking natural places, people and FOOD. Husband visited for the first time in 2019 and he can’t stop talking about moving there.

Every year more people decide to travel to the north of Spain in summer for the nature, the tranquility, the quality/price and above all for the climate, which is cooler in summer than in the rest of Spain, where the suffocating heat , the multitude of tourists and the abusive prices typical of Summer have meant that many Spaniards and foreigners have chosen to change their usual destination of other years such as Andalusia, the Canary Islands or the Balearic Islands, for Galicia, Asturias, Cantábria, La Rioja or the Basque Country.

Asturias lo tiene todo. Espero que hayáis ido a hacer la ruta del Cares. Es una ruta por la montaña con acantilados, puentes de madera etc... un paraje espectacular. Os encantará y a los niños más aún.

Los asturianos dicen que Asturias es España y el resto territorio conquistado,en Asturias empezó la idea de España como nación,el pueblo asturiano es noble, honrado y valiente y su gastronomía,ay la gastronomía asturiana, empezando por la fabada,las fabes con almejas,el pitu de Calella,el cachopo,el arroz con leche,la sidra,el orujo,....,en fin, Asturias y Cantabria son paraísos naturales y lo dice un granadino cuya tierra tampoco esta tan mal.

Yo he viajado por toda España y todo el pais tiene su encanto pero ttengo que decir que la calidad de vida de Asturias no la hay en muchos sitios el clima es muy llevadero ni mucho calor en verano ni muy frio en invierno al menos para mi.
Que decir de la gastronomia es muy variada puedes comer buenos potajes como buen pescado y marisco.
La gente suele ser (aunque hay de todo) pero la mayoria son muy hospitalarios.
Si te vas a alguna aldea a los pocos dias ya eres parte de alguna familia.
De verdad son encantadores.
