Every single song from the Reanimation album was ahead of its time.
No, have good songs, but not ahead of his time.

lp
I miss the sick bass with my subwoofers lol
This is how a remix album should sound like.
A couple songs are a miss, but yeah, they're also remixes. Supposed to be experimental and "dangerous" otherwise not worth the remix.
Yeh agreed dude

Totally subverts what we knew so well about the originals. Can't believe I'm so late in hearing these!
Legendary track, can't believe its been 14 years
Has it really been that long.... damn.
i grew up with lp :)

Shibby Snoogenz congrats on graduation brother. I too made it through the gates of honor hill.
+Cobrantula69
That makes 3 of us. Foxtrot 2-19 Infantry, graduated in Oct 2002. I used to blast this cd loud everytime I'd come home on leave.
I think this album was way ahead of its time. Kudos to Mr Hahn and team.
Listen too the sound dizzy from the ups and downs nauseated by the polluted rock thats all around watching the wheels of cars past too the last of light and Long shadows and cast!!

one of the best
@@al112v4 he still got it

1:38 Mike’s rhyme scheme here is insane. The internals, syllable emphasis, and lyrics choice is absolutely perfection 🔥
It’s actually a reference to an earlier interpretation of Forgotten called Rhinestone, you can look it up and listen to the second verse, it’s fairly similar 😁
Nice catch man. @@Jay3ro
Mike goes hard on those old demo songs lol, its a reused flow from Rhinestone as the person above me said
Chali's verse on this is still one of my favorites of all time
Mike verses are better
I get MF Doom vibes, so good.
dude he's so clear with his wording, always love his work
@@tiojoao5415 you tripping. both are great but Chali's in a League of its own.
mike's lyrics literally fucking astound me. i've tried songwriting but one of my biggest flaws is i give up to easily and i honestly have no idea how he does what he does. he's an incredible talent
Yep, OML sucks. :/ But try not to get too depressed, they've been switching music styles with every album, so maybe the next one will be better. There is still a hope.
Violet Raven :-\
Yea. I wish I wouldn't said that. I can't believe he's gone. I already miss them so much.

Only hybrid theory and meteora were good
Underrated song
Chali 2na is such an underrated rapper. Wish he made more.
Mike is underrated too
From the top to the bottom
Bottom to top I stop
At the core I've forgotten
In the middle of my thoughts
Taken far from my safety
The picture's there
The memory won't escape me
We're stuck in a place so dark
You can hardly see
The manner of matter that splits with the words I breathe
And as the rain drips acidic questions around me
I block out the sight of the powers that be
And duck away into the darkness
Times up
I wind up in a rusted world with eyes shut so tight that it blurs into the world of pretend
And the eyes ease open
And it's dark again
From the top to the bottom
Bottom to top I stop
At the core I've forgotten
In the middle of my thoughts
Taken far from my safety
The picture's there
The memory won't escape me
But why should I care?
In the memory you'll find me
Eyes burning up
The darkness holding me tightly
Until the sun rises up
Listen to the sound
Dizzy from the ups and downs
I'm nauseated by the polluted rot that's all around
Watching the wheels of cars that pass
I look past to the last of the light and the long shadows it casts
A window grows and captures the eye
And cries out a yellow light as it passes me by
And a young shadowy figure sits in front of a box
Inside a building of rock with antennas on top, now
Nothing can stop in this land of the pain
The sane lose not knowing they were part of the game
And while the insides change
The box stays the same and the figure inside could bear anybody's name
The memories I keep are from a time like then
I put on my paper so I could come back to them
Someday I'm hoping to close my eyes and pretend
That this crumpled up paper can be perfect again
Yo, from the top to the bottom
Bottom to top I stop
At the core I've forgotten
In the middle of my thoughts
Taken far from my safety
The picture's there
The memory won't escape me

LMFAO!!!!
Actually hilarious
For those who don't know, look into Jurassic 5 and Chali 2na. Now you know.
This song never gets old.
Emily Lynn its awesome
Reanimation is absolute genius. The pinnacle of modern music. Modern day Beethoven or Bach. How is it that Reanimation is their most unknown album when its clearly their best ? Underrated as hell.

Hibrid Theory, Reanimation & Meteora : Yes

I agree, I love Linkin Park, but seriously, anyone with just a little knowledge of music can see that this is easily their best album. The atmosphere and feeling of this collection of songs just give me the chills every time.

one of the coolest songs to have been ever made
imo, the remixes in the reanimation album was much superior then the original. They just did such a good job on them
Except for this one, i prefer the original 'forgotten' by far

It's not that I don't like hip-hop, it's just that modern hip-hop aren't worth listen to when beautiful work like these exist.
Agreed. Hip-hop nowadays is trash, and I am a hip-hop lover! Music as a whole now is sad; I feel the last good year in music was 2012.

Love that they blended this album w real hip hop artists like chali 2na from legendary Jurassic 5. I love chali 2na and linkin park was at its peak right here bro hung in all the dope underground hip hop vets
It's taken me 10 years to realize the "young shadowy figure sits in front of a box" line is talking about a guy watching TV in his living room
I don't know exactly how to interpret this video, I just know it involves rebellion from the "powers that be", darkness & survival and I love it. So nostalgic
LINKIN PARK FOR LIIIIIFE
Loved the sound. The tempo, the beat, the soft keyboard melody, the melancholic chorus & the rhythmic flow of Mike Shinoda. This piece was cooked just right.
This album is what turned me into such a big hip hop head. I was 10 when this came out and I've been listening to it ever since.
one of the best songs of all time imo
The sample sounds so much like "No Man's Land"(1987, starring Charlie Sheen) soundtrack. It was composed by Basil Pouledouris and it's awesome. So nice to hear that sound here😎
i hate how much people underappreciate this album. the artistic creativity is insane.
This is without a doubt one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life.
One of the most underrated songs from LP
Reanimation was the first album I ever purchased, I was only 9 when it dropped. The transformer on the front was what caught my attention. I still listen to it frequently.

The Alchemist helped to produce this track. I bet most of you have heard his stuff with DiLated Peoples and Action Bronson.
i was 10 years old, sitting infront of the speakers listening to this album my mom bought me because she thought it was some robot anime CD. i always thought this song was called "Figure 10". I only realised today that it's "Forgotten". I'm 28 now.
I remember when i was a kid. Im always waiting this song to play on MTV just to see this amazing reanimation. ❤️
Fucking nostalgic...This album has great memory of me. My childhood. I was lonely, don't have anyone. Went to school everyday, and gone home, locked myself in my room, play these songs, all LPs.
Really, back then LP was my friend, fill my loneliness. Sometimes, when I listen to their old songs, it bring back my loneliness feeling that gave me chill. Terrifying and soothing at the same time.
