5 cents a game on that site? fuck that shit! Pieces of plastic on the shelf is better than digital on a hard drive imo. I love physical too much and the thought of everything taking the digital route is kinda terrifying. To each his own though.. It's great to see you active on here again, good sir..

I agree with you 100% man but I only want games i'm actually going to play. If it's physical I don't see why it should gather dust when someone else can get some enjoyment out of it, the shelf filler just wasn't doing anything for me anymore.

Clearing out the collection can be a good thing, why have stuff you don't care about. If you feel like that then it's a good thing. I enjoy my collection and as long as i feel like that than it's a good thing but as soon as i don't feel like that and it becomes a negative i have to do what you just did to enjoy life a bit more without bullshit and things that does not matter.

I fully understand where you are coming from mate, having a large collection can indeed become quite over bearing and stressfull, might sound at bit odd to some people but it is actually true.

I think you need to experience it to fully understand it, it's certainly a life pressure I could do without and one that is so easily remedied.

I totally understand the overhaul. I’m just thinking that those 5 pence games could’ve made for *some (sine) great gifts. For old time or recently subbed Viewers.
It’s great that you feel relieved & better though.

It's a nice idea but as much as I would have loved to do that, logistically it would have been a nightmare and would of cost a fair amount of time/postage which I just wouldn't be in a position to do. It also wouldn't of offered the immediate relief that i was desperate for at the time. Since the clear out, mentally, I'm feeling a thousand times better.

Very good point! I definitely could’ve been more specific.

Definitely feel the stress mate. I felt having all those games I wouldn't or couldn't give each one the right time it deserved, so I got rid of them all. Unfortunately, I still have 2000 Blu-ray's to get through so, yeah. The life of collector, swings and roundabouts mate😀

I used to collect (not as extensively as you) but got into a cycle of only playing 10 or so hours on every game before moving on. Even if I loved the game!
Stupid habit! I've now limited myself to 10 games at a time per console and trade in the shitty ones. I won't buy new ones until I finish the others so it works out a lot cheaper!
Made me really enjoy games again instead of buying in the quest of happiness.
Keep on fighting the good fight!

"buying in the quest of happiness" I think that really rings true for most collectors. I'm also a fucker for dropping a game a good chunk into it even if i love it, in fact I've done it recently with God of War. I dropped it to play 2 hours at a time of games i'm not interested in. Madness, utter madness.
