Hope all’s well in the world of shred. I’m making an effort to pick up my guitar of late and level up a bit from ‘pretender’ to the lofty heights of ‘novice’. 😂 Was wondering what your thoughts are on learning a song that you like, all the repetition that go into the different riffs and licks, to the point where you are sick of the fucking song and annoyed that you’ve butchered a song you previously loved and wished you’d left it alone! Do you mix in some generic fretboard exericses into your routine or concentrate on playing actual songs? How do you motivate yourself to keep picking up an instrument? Sorry for the ramble.. cheers, james.
