The damage is no more than slow charging, if you properly cool down your phone while it charges. Anyways batteries on android have always lasted far longer, because they have bigger batteries, android doesn't have to shut your phone down at 30 percent battery because it can no longer maintain the power output required for the phone to work after 2 years.

Last summer, my cell carrier (I live in PR) started hiking prices and my mom was visiting in NC, she offered to add me to the family plan (AT&T) and got me an iPhone 13 (free) so I could facetime with the family, I was using a $30 android (was unemployed), hilarious that I’m the only one who uses Facetime😅, I just wanna go back to just plugging in a usbc drive and copy stuff from pc to phone and back. Just throwing mp3’s in a folder, I used a bunch of miscellaneous apps, for almost everything.

Apple recently started giving "Always on Display" on their iPhones..Apple still uses old 60 Hz displays whereas Android has OLED sAMOLED 144 Hz displays since atleast 5-6 years... Face IR recognition was available in Poco F1 which was launched in 2018...

@@KamaAnthem it depends on what you want really: if you want a clean, with no bloatware android experience, your options are either Google Pixel (in the places that you can actually get them), Motorola or Sony. Conversely, if you don't care about bloatware or don't mind being in an Apple like walled garden, there's Samsung (android’s Apple) and their OneUI skin. The rest are a mixed bag: Color OS/OxygenOS and its derivatives are ok but some have ads and the occasional bloat, Funtouch is apparently a poor OneUI clone and Xiaomi's MIUI/HyperOS is simply a mess; poor battery management, full of bloat and has ads, but It's pretty customizable and most of their phones have custom ROM support.

Honestly though, save for the iPhone 6, iPhones across generations have had the upper hand in terms of sheer build quality. Like I would choose a Samsung S24 Ultra if I wanted the best smartphone currently on sale, the AI features, display, cameras and stylus are all amazing stuff however, as something to hold in the hand, even the base iPhone 15 has a certain sheen and solidity to it which is sorely lacking even in flagship Android phones

I go to the store every one in a while and never fail to notice how cheap most Androids feel when held in the hand, even the flagship models. I think weight plays an important role here, they’re just too light for their size. Same thing with notebooks.
