And in my friend group the run on joke is not knowing how I’m the single one I’m know brad Pitt or anything but I’m definitely pretty good looking and have a decent body, issue is I was also bullied a lot through school and it built resentment towards others because everyone had people and I just didn’t for a while, now it’s hard to take complements and I’ve become an uglier person on the inside. Plus I’m super insecure because of it, not in an incel way I care I’m kind and I help others, I just don’t trust easy and my lack of confidence from always being put down made me super insecure just in my body. Wanting to shut out the world around you effects your posture self care etc and can cause the opposite of looksmaxxing. I’ve fortunately become pretty self aware of this recently and have been working to reverse it, should probably drop social media as a whole and just devote one hundred percent energy towards bettering myself for me, but learning to open up and let people in is proving difficult

This information sounds correct on its own, but it only deeped on me when I connected it to my own experience and realised how perfectly it matched up. I knew peope who weren't very attractive, and were very odd and eccentric in their mannerisms, yet they spoke to me as if they genuinely liked me, they showed interest in me, and they gave so many compliments with incredible enthusiasm. Although I noticed the oddities in their behaviour, none of it mattered because they did and said things which made me happy
(Using your comment to vent)-That’s what she did to me I’m in that spot rn no one has ever treated me like her and I told her how I feel and she based on my judgment of the situation which is cloudy I the moment but I would say politely rejected me (who knows time will tell)and now I’m dealing with things but need to heal again and go back to giving love and being the light for others

Facts, I’ve noticed this since I was in college when my psychology professor told us that people love to talk about themselves and their life and if you pay attention and always show concern, it will always result in people wanting to be close to you. That’s why a lot of people become attracted to psychologists or therapists because of the closeness. I love had a couple of women tell me I’m a good listener and they like talking to me.

This is true, I’m a quieter guy and I attracted a lot of women when I was younger that I didn’t even like purely because I’d sit there, and listen. Other people didn’t but I did and they’d assume it was cause I had feelings for them. It sucked cause all I was doing is giving people the time of day cause no one did to me, and as a result I had to stop because just being nice was actually making things worse because I was just trying to hear peoples problems and give reassurance, but instead I unknowingly played with some girls feelings and made for some awkward moments I still think about to this day

This is very true. I've had this same experience both ways. At the time my friends would ask me how I talk to that girl or this girl so easily and have it not be awkward even if it's a stranger, I would just say to go with the flow but what this video describes is what I was doing. Its a very refreshing perspective to experience when ur not in ur own mind making fake scenarios and just reacting.
