Nature Aquariums by Johnny Johnson | Bringing Nature Home |
My name is Johnny Johnson and I've been aquascaping for just over 10 years. In the beginning of my journey, I was like most people starting out with small setups and fake decor in them. Not long after that I quickly learned about nature aquariums and the creator behind them Takashi Amano, who invented the planted aquarium. After admiring his works and reading everything I could about him, I quickly saw the world through Amanos eyes and loved the idea of bringing a piece of nature into our homes. Back in 2015 I decided I wanted to share my work with the world which led to me creating my CZcams Channel JJ Aquariums, which I still upload Weekly till this day. Through my CZcams I showed my journey through aquascaping as I got better and better with each setup I did. My goal is to bring nature aquarium's more into the US, and to open eyes to the real world of nature.

Nice vid! Interesting info on the RODI.
Awesome video! So much great information. Thanks for sharing the details on remineralizing the water. I've been looking into buying a RODI and this seems like a great product.
definitely gonna need that soon.
I drink RO exclusively.. added mineral rocks, but I feel it's way better than tap water.
O ya it's way better as long as you add Good minerals back, just like we do with are aquariums
@@jjaquariums for sure.. what I notice also, if you leave a cup of RO water on the counter for days on end. You can still drink it, tastes fine.
Try that with tap water.. foul !!
What about cutting your RO water with water from the tap? I have an RO unit...I usually just top off my tanks with RO......thank you for a great explanation on this
Hi, What do you use to remineralize your RODI water?
@@Seanmmvi salty shrimp
@@jjaquariums gh/kh+ ?
@@Seanmmvi yes
Let’s say I have a five gallon barrel I’ve filled with RO water and remineralized to my desired specifications. If the water sits on a shelf for a couple months will my TDS remain stable to the previously adjusted number? Or am I having to recheck and re add as evaporation etc. occurs? Hope my question makes sense. Great video!
If it doesn't evaporate yes it'll be same
This video was extremely informative. I just figured out about water hardness earlier today and you helped alot. Will be buying an Ro/di from NU. Do you have an affiliate code I can use?
