@@Kishorkumar-wu2yi Both are better but difference is only in the Bass because 55ap has more bass so it depends on your taste as I don't like bass heavy music. you can say ex255 is neutral one. I would suggest you to try it in Sony Center like I did...;)

As an audiophile, this detailed comparison was all that was needed. I guess the RHA 390 is capable of extracting sounds that very few earphones can. Marshall is another brand that’s similar I’ve used.
Honestly I just bought the ex 255 ap was confused about them but you know what Sony is actually really premium feeling too...its really good can't complain

After hearing the Ex255ap audio simulation, I'm totally sold but am on a tight budget... So can you please suggest me an earphone which is the closest to Ex255ap from the affordable range? Sennheiser has sharp treble while Sony, balanced and more thumping bass sound -- Signature Sound.
Both are good brands but Sony have edge over Sennheiser.

It's just a simulation with general idea and I know ma390 produce extremely different sound in certain scenarios. Not to rely entirely on simulation. :)

The design of the RHA 390 is very appealing especially for my partner who wanted a simple earphone which she doesn't need to put into her ear totally blocking it. She was having pain in ear using her default iphone earphones. I tried to discuss with her about Sony Ex255ap which ticked all the boxes and we were fine with stretching the budget, but kind of worried about the form factor where the earbud is at an angle. Foe e.g. She tried Xiaomi basic earphones and found that she need not put them really inside the ear and was comfortable. Would be great if anyone here could suggest.

RHA 390U cable is worst in long run....they tend to get very Hard and starts breaking.....all because of the cloth material they put on top of the wire....and remember the cable are not replaceable n dont come under warranty....if you are buying rha390U for a long run it wont last. regarding Sony i have not used them...so cant comment on those....but the sound clarity on RHA 390U is awesome....you will definitely fall in love....but a very minimal BASS (keep the cable of RHA 390U in mind it is tangle free but not for very long n will definitely start breaking after a year)

Dedicated condenser microphone can't be compared to an earphone microphone.
You will have to increase the gain and keep the microphone very close to your mouth for clean audio if you are using an earphone.
The earphones record on a single channel which can be good and bad at the same time depending on if you want to record vocals or surrounding.
I'll not recommended to invest in anything , just figure out your requirement and check out your editing software and try any existing earphone first.

The audio simulation of sony ex255ap felt like a headphone(bass part) and sound of ma390 was super clear but it felt completely bass less in my cheap earphone which I'm using for now , will I get more bass than I'm experiencing rightnow if I'll use ma390

Sir can do audio simulation video for ex255ap and xb55ap please ? Plus if you can tell how long both would last (durability)according to your experience or according to your know it would be great .. I want to know thus cause this is going to be my first earphone around 2k price . I have only used samsung earphones mostly but I do know the differences and I loved the ex255ap in the audio quality it feels more complete but rha seems like studio recording quality to hear vocals well ig ..

Build material on sony earphones is top notch , the cable used is better than usual rubber cables.
I have already compared ex255ap and xb55ap but audio simulation is something which I am adding recently in my video for better understanding so making an entire video just for simulation won't be possible :). But you can count my words and go for ex255ap or xb55ap.

Hi, i am thinking of buying mdr ex255. The only problem i see with them ks thier size. My ears are sensitive and i use earphones for like 4-5 hours everday. I have used cx213 and cx 180 and found them very comfortable on my ears. I have also used jbl 200si which i didnot like and find comfortable for me. I just want your opinion on the size of ex255, how confortable they are compare to cx180 and if they are bigger in size than jbl then i believe i wont find them confortable. Would you be able to help me on this.
I will call them as small size earphones....not much of a difference in size, i don't know why it makes a lot of difference to you. But anyway.... sennheiser is extremely small, JBL c series is small but as you had problems so avoid it. Sony ex series is slightly large than jbl c series so you can avoid sony. Better go with Sennheiser again.

Hey, fellas i got my xb55ap earphone and my verdict is. It's nothing extra ordinary sound and bass just like regular 300-400 earphones I don't recommend anyone to spend over 2k on it. And my verdict is few years ago i tested bose sound true earphone which was the best earphone i have used
There are cheaper alternative available in market which could easily compete with Sony xb55ap.

What you are referring to is wavelength .... Not frequency ...
kindly mark the time... frequency is inversely proportional to wavelength so when i am referring to frequency its in terms of low and high.
High frequency = more treble
Low frequency = high bass
Ma 390 grabs tge attention due to that 13 mm driver it really better than .

255ap contains slightly more weight due to bigger housing and large 12mm driver unit but nothing too much to bother about.
मेरे पास rha 390 लगभग 2 साल से है,,जब इस पर 3 साल की वारंटी आती थी,,एक बार पानी मे भीग कर इसका माइक खराब हो गया था तो कंपनी ने एकदम नया भेज दिया एक हफ्ते में।
और सीरियसली बता रहा हूँ,इस ईरफ़ोन को सुनने के बाद और किसी भी तरह का ईरफ़ोन मुझे पसंद ही नही आता,,बेस इतना सटल है कि मजा आ जाता है।
Sony वाले ईरफ़ोन भी सुने लेकिन कुछ समय बाद वो irritate करने लगते हैं,,जबकि rha की आवाज़ इतनी स्मूथ है कि कभी भी irritation नही होती
