    We have one of the PetLoaders for our dogs to get up into our Freightliner M2 106. Works great, and stows easily. Highly recommend PetLoader products!

    Nice. I will get some photos to share ideas when we get closer to retirement. They have the same floorplan in a 5W as our current TT and then it will be time to figure out the steps. On our current Chevy 2500 she has a step tethered on a parachute cord she pulls it up with after getting up to the running board. With 2 bad shoulders and a motorcycle knee, getting into our trucks isn't easy. -Dave

    Thanks for sharing, Gregg! We currently have a Solvit ramp we've been using for our Golden Retrievers that's worked fine for the back of the SUV, but the angle gets a bit steep getting into the 3/4 ton PU. The steps will give us an opportunity to take the big dog with us!

    I have a few rather 'stout' driving couples O-T-R whom these steps would also benefit. Oh wait, you said upto 300 lbs. 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂
    Grand idea for our twin 100 lbs Bloodhound sisters though. Thanks!

      Hello hello! I have another step system that has a bit higher capacity for the stout folks. It is tied and mounted into all four factory frame points. It is called CANSteps.
      Thanks as always for your support and interest in our rvhaulers.

    The pet loader is a great ideal. I think it would be nicer if it could set on the top step and be just below the door so you could leave them on one side and just open the door if the dog needs to go out instead of you having to get out and set them up before you can let the dog out or in

    • @rvhaulers

    That's a good idea for safety, but it won't help someone with a bad hip, weak legs or a bad arm.
    Something like the pet stairs is a better option for that.
    If you really want to help those that are mobile challenge, put an electric lift in place.
    Have it fold up to hug the side of the truck when it is not in use.
    You'll also need to have control buttons located somewhere on the lift or in the door where it can be easily reached by the user.
    The person riding the lift can use the door to steady themselves and you can also add a hand rail to the side of the door post where the door opens.

      @rvhaulers  Před rokem

      Hi Scott,
      The lift is certainly an available option too. I'm glad you reminded us all of that possible solution. Thanks for watcgi g and sharing that thought.

      @@rvhaulers I'd love to see a video of the lift for people. Especially if there is one rated for 500 lbs as I'm 6' 10" tall and weigh nearly that. I also have bad knees and climbing a ladder style step would be difficult.
