    🐝 HOW TO DETOX YOUR HAIR WITH A HAIR MASK DIY DIRECTIONS
    Ingredients:
    1/2 cup bentonite clay
    1/2 cup aloe vera gel
    1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
    Instructions:
    Add all ingredients to a mixing container and stir to combine thoroughly. Note: Use a plastic or wooden utensil instead of a metal one whenever working with bentonite clay.
    Work the mask into your hair, covering all your hair. Work it into your scalp and coat your hair to the ends.
    Put on a shower cap, and let mask sit for 15 - 20 minutes. Don’t let the mask dry on your hair!
    Wash the mask out of your hair with warm water.
    Once mask is completely washed out, rinse hair with 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar in 2 cups of water.
    Rinse again with water.
    Wash hair with a natural method, such as an organic shampoo bar.
    Rinse well, and enjoy your soft, clean hair.

      Just a quick question! I used real aloe vera leaves is it okay if it's a little chunky?

    I made a version of this hair detox mask using kaolin clay and ACV today and it really did cleanse all the silicone and chemical deposits from the roots of my hair and scalp! Now my hair is super soft and silky after rinsing out the clay hair mask and washing it with tallow soap and an ACV rinse! Thank you for informing us about using a clay hair mask to make transitioning to using tallow shampoo easier!

    Do you have any problems with bentonite clay clogging your plumbing? I have been hearing that it has negative effects on plumbing and to never wash it down the drain.

    Great video! I have been trying to switch over to using shampoo bars for a while now but the state I live in has super hard water so it hasn't worked out for me thus far. I am definitely going to try this recipe though since it looks and sounds like it could really help. Thanks!

    I have been transitioning to natural shampoo for about a week. I made my own shampoo bars. Like everyone else, I struggled with the waxy stringy hair that you have in the beginning. I made this hair detox mask and is completely gone. My hair is much lighter and softer. However I am still struggling with oily roots. But I think that's because my shampoo bar is to moisturizing. So I am still playing around with that. But I absolutely love this hair detox mask

      Thanks for sharing!! Sometimes it takes some experimenting. If you're doing the vinegar rinse afterwards, you could try reducing that to see if it helps.

    Where do you purchase your real organic aloe vera gel ? I see your using a brown bottle of aloe Vera gel , that’s not the same one that’s linked in the video from your site that takes you to Amazon .

    I ditched all the commercial shampoos and conditioners couple years ago and started using egg yolk as a shampoo/conditioner :) My hair has never been happier! Sometimes I add acv mixed with water as a rinse. That's it! 💜

    Hi Marissa thanks for this great recipe. Ive made it and just tried it today. My hair feels great. Just want to know how long will the mask last once made and best way to store it?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  Před 3 lety +2

      Wonderful! I actually tend to use all of it right away and don't store it, but that will depend on how long and thick your hair is. If you do want to store it, I'd keep it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. I think it should be good for a few weeks. Hope that helps!

      Thanks! I pretty much just do it whenever I have used another hair care product, like if I get my hair cut somewhere and they use a shampoo or another product that isn't as natural as I'd like :)

    Why is it important to not let it dry on your hair? Is that just because it would be more difficult to rinse out of your hair or is there a chemical reaction reason? Thanks!

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  Před 3 lety +1

      Just that it would be VERY difficult to wash out of long hair if it dried :)

  • @mirelazrepulya9963
    @mirelazrepulya9963 Před 5 lety +1

    Just to be sure, you use the mask on wet hair?

    • @BumblebeeApothecary
      @BumblebeeApothecary  Před 5 lety +4

      Good question! I usually start with dry hair, actually. But I think either would work! I usually put it in my hair, let it sit, and then wash it out, do the rinse, and then shampoo my hair 😊
