    🐝 SHAVING BUTTER RECIPE DIRECTIONS
    Ingredients:
    1/4 cup olive oil
    1/4 cup coconut oil
    1/4 cup cocoa butter
    3 TBSP castile soap
    24 drops essential oils (I like to use 4 drops of tea tree and 20 drops of lavender or cedarwood)
    Instructions:
    Melt coconut oil and cocoa butter until liquid.
    Add olive oil, coconut oil, and cocoa butter to a large mixing bowl.
    Refrigerate oils until halfway solidified.
    Whip with a hand mixer until light and fluffy.
    Add castile soap and whip some more.
    Add essential oils and whip again to combine.
    Store in a glass jar.

    Excellent video. Thank you so much. How long does the cream keep fresh once sealed in a container. Do you recommend a "best before" period?

      Thank you! For me it keeps around 6 months to a year, if you use clean, dry hands to use it, and store it in a cool, dark place :)

    I’m so glad I found this! I don’t have cocoa butter on hand but do have Shea butter that I need to use up. Can a person substitute the Shea butter until I can get some cocoa butter purchased?

      I haven't tried it, but it might work! I think any mild liquid soap would work.

      About a teaspoon at a time is usually good, but you can just see what works best for you 😃

    Hello, i tried this but i noticed it didnt remain fluffy after a few hrs, it seemed to melt as there was oil seeping through, is that normal?

      Sorry to hear that! I haven't had that happen. Did it get too warm? I'm wondering if some of the ingredients could melt if it gets too warm. You can always chill and rewhip 😊
