Beautiful, thanks so much.
Love this video and how simple you make it. Also appreciate the recipes. You are awesome.
Hi Marisa. Thank you for all your videos and amazing recipes!
Could I use avocado oil instead of argan and carrot seed oil??
Definitely going to try this, thank you
I made this and it worked so well, my skin even had a glow afterwards. I was truly amazed! I also added raspberry oil and carrot seed oil. Thanks for the recipe.
How did you make yours? I did the carrot seed aryan oil mixture and I am as red as a tomato currently lol.
Love your plaque on your wall! "The Lord is my strength and sheild" Amen!! 💞
Absolutely Fantastic information!!!!! I love your video!!! It's helped me sooo much as I'm moving back to FLORIDA
I love all your recipes for diy skincare that is good for our health! Thanks so much for sharing to make this world a better place Marissa! I am making this and another recipe soon for my grandkids… just wish I knew how to do it when I was a mom of young kids earlier in my life- you are a blessing!
Tip: measure out the beeswax alone. Melt it-first, then remove from heat and add remaining ingredients ❤️ (place a heat pad on scale)
Thanks for the tutorial! I definitely need to try this since it's impossible for me to find a sunscreen that doesn't give me a headache or flare up my asthma.
THANK YOU! Just so you know, right after I watched your video the 1st time a video from a 'PHD' scientist claiming it is irresponsible to make your own sunscreen because it's not made in a lab came on...😂 I had a few choice words for her (kindly of course). I guarantee the pharmaceutical companies are paying her. It is so disturbing how CZcams & big tech are involved in this movement to destroy our health. Anyway, loved this info & greatly appreciate you for sharing it✌🌻
it's business. of course, they discourage DIY formula. it's your skin. it's for personal use. why do they care?

Wow thank you so much for this recipe! I love making my own products. I already have the ingredients from making deodorant, body butter, and soap. Now I have another recipe to use them with ❤
Hi Marisa and thank you. Can I use shea butter instead of cocoa butter please
Thank you for sharing! This is a game changer for me
Hey there! Thanks for this amazing video. Can't wait to make my own. I have acne prone skin so I was just wondering if I could use rosehip oil instead of coconut or olive oil as I can see that breaking me out x
You're welcome! Yes you can substitute a different liquid oil if you like :)
Works wonderfully
You are just so gracious…and your baby’s adorable🧒. Thank you for sharing!
Great info!!! My grandson had leukemia and his pediatric oncologist warned us to NEVER put sunscreen on him or ourselves. She said sunscreens are so toxic and actually cause skin cancer and other cancers as well!
Thanks, can i use beef tallow instead of Olive oil?
Hi! can we use shea butter instead of cocoa butter?
Wow, this stuff is water proof for sure! Anyone have a suggestion for getting it off my dishes? How do you wash it off the body?
Thank you for sharing your expertise. God bless you and your family.
thank you so much. I actually have all these ingredients. ;)
Thank you so much for sharing! I had no idea it's so easy and safe to make sunscreen at home! I'll defo make my own sunscreen for this summer based on your recipe.
Just one question: are you aware of any substitute for beeswax and/or if I can skip it? Thank you!!
You're welcome! The beeswax makes it waterproof, so you could leave it out if you don't need it to be waterproof. Or you could try candelilla wax :)
Hi
Ma'am plz tell me how long can we keep it and how long can it last and what is its expiry date.
usefull things to know,thank you
Would love to read the book.
Thank you!
Thank you for the video, it's very helpful. I will try to make this next week. I have very sensitive skin, all the sunscreens on market makes my skin breaks in hives and itchy. How long can this sunscreen last ?does it need to be in the fridge or room temperature is fine?. I also watched one of other CZcams videos saying it needs to be in the fridge and lasts for 10-12 days. I can't travel with that. 😃
Thanks again.
Love the recipe, I just made it, it is so well explained and the texture is perfect. Thank you :)
Thank you, love it
Hello! New to your video. Wanna ask if I could add aloe vera gel on this recipe to higher the SPF to 50? Or any suggestion of ingredient to add to have higher the SPF?if so, how many ounces should I add? I'm from the Philippines which is always summer country. Looking forward for your reply.
I love sheabutter and it has great skin care qualities and SPF too. Can I substitute sheabutter for the cocoa butter in your recipe? Great job, kudos for sharing your knowledge on natural remedies!
What could you add to harden this? I'm looking for something to make it stickier for surfing
Thank you for the recipe. So this amount will make one 2-3 ounce (by volume) jar?
Love this! Is this ideal for skin tones and types? Will this work the same on a light skin tone and a dark skin tone?
can i use fractionated coconut oil instead of virgin coconut oil?
If I use shea butter instead of cocoa butter would it be gross to add eucalyptus or lemon oil for fragrance
Great. I just bought a sunscreen and then I saw something about benzene that scared the S out of me. Thanks for sharing
Thank you we love you
Loved this..
Can you add this to your bathing soap please?
As you added water, does it need a preservative?
Hi I don’t know if you’ll see this since it’s so late but can I use candelila wax instead of beeswax?
How many days we store at room temperature and what preservatives we used for it
Hi! I would like to ask, for olive oil, do we use cold pressed virgin or those for cooking?
How long it'll last??? I mean, can we preserve this type formulation over 2 years?
Love You woman!!!
Can we not adding cocoa butter ? Thanks !
Thanks!
Can I use mango butter instead of cocoa butter.
hi, thank for the video.. could I do it without beeswax and coco butter? would the ratio change?
You could try, but the beeswax provides the waterproof property, and without the cocoa butter it would be much softer. Hope that helps!
Hello Marissa, question pls can I use that in my face second instead of cocoa butter can u use the Shea butter?
Yes you can! It's a pretty heavy duty sunscreen, more for vacation/beach use instead of daily use, and yes, shea butter is a great substitute :)
Hello. I was wondering about how much spf protection this would have? I know you mentioned it’s hard to say with homemade proof it’s and the oils had about 30spf.
Im looking for a everyday safe skin lotion for myself and my family. Also need safe non fluoride toothpaste. Non glycerin non harmful chemicals
Can I u recomend which type of carrot seed oil please as there's refined Aromatheropy type Something wasnt sure wich was best in purity thx
How many uses can you get out of this recipe? Just wondering bc I have a big family
Very good 👍👍👍
Best of luck 💐💐
WHAT LABELS DO YOU USE FOR THE SILCONE TUBES. I USE ONLINE WATERPROOF LABELS I TRIED USING THE ONLINE LABELS AND THEY WON'T STICK. I ALSO TRYED USING AVERY LABELS. WHAT KIND OF LABELS DO YOU USE THAT WILL STICK AND LOOK NICE. I REALLY LIKE YOUR RECEIPE FOR THE SUNSCREEN
my 1st test was zinc oxide and some regular hand lotion works but it does not last while in water. I trying your recipe next, thanks. and free e-book, thanks.!
How did it go making the sunscreen? How do you wash it off your body? How do you get it off the dishes you made it in? Help!
Do you add Zinc Oxide in before adding the heat? I watched so many DIY video, most of them add Zinc Oxide right at the end when the oil and beeswax are not as hot. So do you think overheating won't change the element in Zinc oxide?
I don't think it changes the elements, but adding it last after the oils have cooled some would help it stay suspended and not settle to the bottom as it cools :)
Thank you for asking this question. I was wondering the same.
zinc oxide has the melting point over 1600°C, there won't be any elemental changes, atleast I guess.
Do you know how to make it oil free?
Hiya does anyone know roughly what spf this would be?
Hello,
Thanks for sharing your method and links to the ingredients. I made the sunscreen and it has too much white colour and doesn't rub in. Do you have any suggestions on how to create the sunblock without the white component?
Thank you,
Kristina Camaj
It's common for it to not rub in if you're using too much. I would try using less :)
Thank uu🩷🩷🩷🩷
how do you know the spf of the sunscreen?
I want to make this but my child is allergic to coconut. If i use an alternative will it still be as effective?
Does anyone know if you can make this but leave out the cocoa butter please. I desperately need to know as i wsnna make some fot holiday in 2 days time. Thanks so much
What sunscreen amount/level/strength is this?
Love it
How long does it last once made? I mean if there would be an expiration on manufacturing date? Thanks :-)
The oils should be good for up to a year. They may go rancid after that. Hope that helps!
Can you use olive oil alone?
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Also how long would you say an application is good before reapplying? I know that if i still see water roll off like beads i'm ok but wondering if i don't plan to get wet.
Can i add flexseed oil and 2 vitamin E capsule for preservation....
That's a good idea, those would add some nice antioxidants. Technically, though, it doesn't contain water so preservation isn't as much of a concern. But it wouldn't hurt!
Thanks for the recipe. GREAT!
It would be much better for your next video if the camera pointed more to the product you are making than (excuse me) you, so we have a perfect instructions view! THANKS AGAIN!
hi do you charge now for the 'free' ebook? thanks

Hi, firstly thanks for this great video. I want to ask an alternative of Beeswax, for vegan purpose. Can Candelilla wax replace beeswax as water proof agent in this preparation? Plz suggest, it'll be great help. Plz let me also know an approximate SPF of this product as i have a very tan prone skin. I would also like to know what can be added to this preparation to make it more moisturizing. Plz respond.
I haven't tried candelilla wax, but I am guessing it would work well! I would use less, because it is harder than beeswax. With all of the ingredients combined, from my research the SPF is at least 30. Most of the ingredients are highly moisturizing. I also have a tallow sunscreen recipe: czcams.com/video/BrnTxqljNnU/video.html
Would this recipe leave a white cast?
Can use another vegan wax? If so which? Thanks
Could you use other oils like jojoba?
How can you make it a higher spf than 30? We normally use 50 - 70 spf
How can we make it to tent the skin
I've tried a different sunscreen recipe and not really happy with the heavy oily feeling on my skin. I think i'm going to really enjoy your recipe, I look forward to trying it. I was wondering can I get away without using cocoa butter? And if so, should I compensate with more of something else?
You can add more coconut oil, substitute with tallow, babassu, lard, shea or mango butter (any hard butter/oil).
Yes, you can substitute with another hard fat, and it should work. Tallow is a great option :)
i thinks it's better to use fractionated coconut oil to at least lessen its greasiness.
Hii, is this product safe for pets? 🤔
Hi. I'm dark, will this leave a white cast?
So i just finished making this with my daughter. We are huge in making everything ourselves. So really love this but seems a bit tough. Not sure if i should use 1oz beeswax instead or is it because i used mango butter instead since its the one butter i have on hand. Thoughts?
You can melt it down and add more liquid oil if you want it softer :)
@@BumblebeeApothecary great!! also i checked the article, is there somwwhere i can see where you explain about how much spf is in each ingredient?
What vegan option would you recommend to replace the beeswax?
You could try candelilla wax - I haven't tried it, and you might need to increase the liquid oil since it is harder than beeswax, but it would be worth a try!
This recipe definitely works and I've tried it! I live in a hot Mediterranean climate with 35+degrees temperature and we didn't get a sunburn! My fiance is Irish and his skin is much more sensitive to the sun than mine and he didn't get sunburnt with this recipe! People saying that this recipe doesn't work are either lying or didn't buy a quality zinc ingredient. The only thing I would suggest that would be helpful to viewers is that for cleaning up the equipment I recommend using paper towels to clean up the grease from the utensils and bowls because hot water just didn't wash away the cream from the items and was so difficult to remove...but wiping it away as much as possible with papers towels helped ALOT. Thank you for this recipe and I appreciate your channels so much!
