- In the final episode of LS swapping the 1979 Camaro I get better brakes with a new brake booster and master cylinder. I swap a conversion u-joint into the driveshaft and I put in a different pinion seal. Of course, nothing can go smoothly. Then, we find out if the cheap 4l60 from Facebook Marketplace is any good....

I believe the lines in the windshield are for the radio antenna
Time to start a rebuild video on the 4l60!!
the lines in the windshield are the radio ant
Gotcha. Cool to know.
They were ahead of their time
“I’m acoustic, I can’t count” 😂😂😂
It's true 😆
New sub tuning in from East Texas
Hey at least you got it on the road the rest is just touch up can’t no one say they got the car on the road first time and came back home with no issues
It does sound really smooth 👍 my 18 year old self would rip the mufflers old. The current day self much prefers the stealth aspect. I have a ‘95 Caprice LT1 and it’s extremely quiet, floats down the road drawing minimal attention at 100 mph. Versus these current day 4 and 6 cylinder cars loud AF, flooring it and not going any faster 🤣
I have a 4l60 with all gears you just have to manually shift into them
Great job and another great video 👍👍
For the rear brakes, check the flex lines at each rear wheel. I had same problem with an 80 Formula. Those flex lines were plugged up, had to replace them. Keep pluggin' away!
That's good. I get good fluid throughout the system. Brakes are just old and most likely just need replaced.
Antenna lines
Bro would you ever consider doing a carb LS swap. Like if you bought a car with a th350 transmission and used the stock cross member, drive shaft, and tank. Just throw a carb, intake, and msd on it.
You can even use the stock harness and ecu
I sure would. That'd be the swap I cam too since I don't tune EFI stuff.
Mmmmm I’m waiting on that👍🏾🔥
Do you have power going to the trans to shift it? That’s often missed when doing swaps.
Actually, after the test drive in the video, I found the brake switch had come loose and wasn't touching the brake pedal. Then I found it also wasn't getting power. Fixed those 2 things, and it shifts up to 3rd like it's supposed to, but I still don't think it's has 4th gear or lock-up
Aye bro what radiator are you using
