Absolutely beautiful! Dispite all our ones being removed long before i took a big intrest in lighting, I've always been fascinated by these, mainly thanks to your website- The Station road replacements page always fascinated me for some reason, i think its because i was a fan of both the Civic and Alpha one lol. I never thought id get one of these as they're so few and far between now, but i somehow managed to obtain one last year, with a decent opticell too! It now has pride of place as a reminder to check the website haha. Odd how ive somehow managed to get a rare lantern like this, but not a run of the mill ZX3- Its an odd world aint it! P.s. have you noticed these make the lamps seem a lot brighter? I was surprised how much brighter than my Alpha 9 it was.
Yeah, as first lanterns in a collection go, I picked a good one! I wish that I'd been able to save more of the Station Road examples, given how many there were! Well done on acquiring one for yourself, and even better if it was in decent condition. You are right that the universe can throw up these random events that seem to defy logic!
