Jazz Haze realy ? 😅 Thanks fam’ but need to improve it to feel more comfortable 💪🏾
@@IsaacSariel-English I'm an American English teacher and I can assure you that you're doing better than most Americans.
Esteban B thank you very much let’s improve it together ☺️🙏🏾
lol sure
Srsly man, you speak very well.
Not super fast, but that's good.
I'd guess it's a second language bc you have an accent, but bro, you're hitting it all!
The English is perfect. The best tutorial I've seen. Simple, exhaustive and I can relate.
MWANGALE II thank you 😉
MWANGALE II - He speaks English much better than Donald Trump, or Melania!
Carl Taylor lol not sure but thanks 😅
MWANGALE II
Same here from Bob the English man. Sweet sounds. Good emphasis on learning for beginner like me. Cheers and thanks!
Yes very simple to understand
Greetings from north (Finland)! I've played for almost 50 years, but because your words are as chrystal clear as your playing style, I will go back to basics, and do exactly what you say. And I also will study African music (right now I know only a little of it). Thank you very much!
J. Virtanen thank you for following me from Finland very touching 🙏🏾 Good luck for your african guitar learning hope to hear from you soon 😉
Your video has really help me coming from a 15 yr old who just only started playing guitar in September, now I'm already playing solo in church and you've helped me understand that Congolese music really isn't just about seben
I am happy if that helps you. Ok I will show more skills and stuff for you to play a good guitar in church.
I love iiiiit,its working
Literally one of the best tutorials I've ever seen on youtube. So much good information given in such an easy to understand way.
I've been wanting to play this style for a long time. Hearing it makes me happy instantly, no matter my mood. Thanks a lot for the tutorial!
Never apologize for your English, its far better than our Bantu. :-) Thank you for the excellent lesson brother.
johntguitar lol 😅 thank you very much for your support ☺️
Hell, it’s better than my English!
Our Bantu???? White South African no doubt!
my bantu is better than his
Bantu languages form a group like Indo-European form a group e.g. Hindi, English, Farsi, German, Sanskrit
You’re super clear at showing the fundamentals of your style. Respect. Your English is clear, but you’re a good enough teacher to not even need it. Keep doing what you do, brother.
I've been trying to learn the name and this style of instrument for so long. Thank you for making this video! I am not musical at all but I liked this. I hear it in every Congolese song and I never knew. I'm Liberian and I appreciate it so much
You have broken it down for me. Now I understand the seben rhythm which I can also incorporate into other styles of African rhythms. Big up!!
I’m so glad that CZcams recommended this video to me! I’ve been playing guitar for 20 years, and have never been exposed to this style of guitar before... I’m loving it! Thanks for the lessons, my Dude! Peace and love from Texas!
Tim Gosney you welcome fam’ thanks a lot for your message I hope you will enjoy this different manner of playing guitar ☺️🙏🏾
Sounds great! Had the chance to improvise with a group of Congolese musicians in Kinshasa a little while ago. I play amplified viola, and it was one of the best experiences. We played a lot of Rumba.
You're an excellent teacher and I look forward to incorporating this wonderful style into my guitar playing. Thank you!
I randomly discovered this video last month and not even play this style.
But Man what some wisdom dropped here in starting few minutes. In one month, i improved after pushing myself to play better in overall.
I'm beginner and just learning chords for now but your advice helped a lot.
i must admit that africans are really good in many aspects of life, sports, singing, and the way they play the guitar really is awesome, they took the guitar playing to heaven like status, i just wish i was born in congo
Awesome
Yeah Congolese people are amazing musicians

Sending thanks from the US. Your English made your point direct and clear. Very helpful view of the guitar as an instrument :)
Quite lovely and so reminiscent of what was or is known as "Township Music" in South Africa. The vitality of the music lies in the soul and in the heart that is Africa in peace.
Waoooww! I am really amazed to how you speak the English language. You are better off than most Anglophone speaking countries.Braaavoo my best francophone brother. Continue with the good work.God Bless u.

Great video! I love this Congolese guitar style, so infectious!
That was GREAT! this came in my feed and I'm gonna pick up my guitar and try it right now!
Kelly Marie Martin Yeah can’t wait to see your videos good luck ☺️👍🏾
Your English is spot on, sir! Plus, you needn't apologise - it's much better than my other languages!
Great lesson, I enjoyed the vibe. What I love most about African style guitar is that it's never always about the bass lines or chords as a whole. The melody on the higher strings accompanies the bass line so you've two singing lines so to speak - to have a lesson in detail makes a point of this. Enjoyed it a lot, thank you for your time! All the best to you.
Accidentally found this video, really love the style of music. Once I get a little better at playing...
Bro thank you so much... the best tutorial ive ever seen as welll thank you! one love

Poifo Rollen Ditshwene greetings to all the Seben Concept Family in Botswana 😊
Very good playing from 6:30 on is very cool showcase of your technique and differences in rhythms from an American feel. You go double time later, and it's beautiful. Blessed.
you speak English flawlessly...I understand you perfectly...your Congo style reminds a lot of Caribbean calypso, which makes sense since they have African routes
🙌🏾 I'm a big fan, great discovery, will surely stick around, found me a new mentor :-))

Thankyou, man I needed this
Isaac. Thank you for the lesson. You speak English is very well. This is the first video of yours I have seen. Looking forward to more. Peace.
Thank you, Isaac. I teach music theory and songwriting and I loved this. The Congolese style you are playing makes tremendous use of diatonic (one key) melodic embellishments. It's beautiful and very open and free and relaxing. I dug it (and this is coming from a jazz sax player).
Dave Bass oh thank you very much as we congolese musicians think highly of you jazz musicians I realy appreciate ☺️ my next step is to improve my melodies with more jazz licks 🙏🏾
Thank you very much
so down stroke on the first string then up stroke on the second string and so on.??
