Hey Dina, I think you might need to make an updated video on how to play JD21 and JD22 on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S because there's some information I just found out that isn't laid out in this video.
I saw a Reddit post where somebody asked which version of JD22 to get between PS4 and Switch, so I asked a question in the comments about the rendered coach videos in the game.
Since the videos in the PS4/Xbox One version are in 1080p, I asked whether the PS5/Xbox Series X/S versions have true native 4K resolution rendered videos or if the console does the upscaling. Then I was told that all console ports use the same videos which are about the same file size regardless of console, and that Ubisoft doesn't even bother to create footage of the maps in any resolution above 1080p.
So then I asked why would Ubisoft make different ports for both PS4 and PS5 when pretty much all of the visual content is 100% the same and the PS5 port just removes PlayStation Move and PlayStation Camera functionality? I knew it would make sense for the Xbox Series X/S, at least until they add Kinect compatibility via a firmware update; but the PS5 console itself is backwards compatible with all PS4 games and the Move and Camera accessories only need a PlayStation VR adapter to work with the console; therefore it just doesn't make sense for Ubisoft to issue a PS5 port if it's essentially just a copy and paste job from the PS4 port with the extra functionality filtered out. Then I was told that it is simply a marketing decision: Sony does not allow the option for physical discs to contain both the PS4 and PS5 versions on the same disc like Xbox does.
In short, anyone who feels like playing JD in 4K resolution on their PS5 should just get the PS4 version, set their console to the game's native 1080p and let their TV do all their upscaling.

I SWEAR I LOVE YOU😍😍, I've been browsing the entire CZcams and never found a video as detailed as yours! Although I must say that I have been playing on Xbox One with the Kinect for a few years now and I really am well
I think Ubisoft was hardly paying attention to those ps5 accessories which is why they did not include it. In my opinion depending on what platform you’re using, I would stick with either Xbox one, ps4 or Nintendo switch because you can use the appropriate controllers (joy con, Kinect, ps camera and psmove) to score and made the smartphone as optional, but for the newer platforms (stadia, Xbox series x/s or ps5) you can only use your phone which requires wifi to play the game, even if you’re not playing either the wdf or songs from just dance unlimited. Honestly they should stick with those 3 consoles instead of making a downgrade version for newer consoles because the price is either the same as the older consoles or that the price is higher. Thanks for the info and I hope Ubisoft adds ps camera support for jd22 for ps5, over wise, just stick with ps4, Xbox one or switch.

Ubi NEVER LEARNS that the Level and Score recovery sabotages the Level 100 trophy (if you surpassed the level in another console, the achievement is locked) and makes the Megastar-everything-trophy harder to keep track of.
Also, all phones vary on score, not just some iPhones or some Androids. ALL vary.
I feel that Ubisoft lost a GREAT opportunity with the PS5. Since the PS Move still works on the PS5, I just can't understand why they didn't make it compatible with the game. This makes me think that the best option we have to play Just Dance 'New Gen' is the Nintendo Switch since the Joycons are WAY BETTER than playing with the phone. Finally, I think the Switch is going to be the competitive console for Just Dance.
yeah especially since the joycons at least have straps so if your hand gets sweaty and the joycon slips out of your hand it wont go flying unlike a phone where the only thing your holding is either the actual phone or a pop socket.

Wow I considered on buying it on ps5 and the camera. Thanks to this, I ended up buying it the switch version. I would have been disappointed to find that the camera was not needed on the ps5.

that's true, my brother did buy a PS5 and I asked him If I could use it for Just Dance, after this not anymore, there's no Just Dance versions for Kinect in my xbox 360, so... I think I'm going to use Just Dance Now and play directly on my smartv connected to my phone, at least the only cost is the suscription :) thank you!

This video was super helpful. I was confused on why there was no socket on my ps5 to use the camera, I dont have a ps move and I don't want to use my cellphone so I requested the adapter, hopefully it will arrive soon.

Good video. Surprised Ubi can't get their act together. I bought the PS5 version of JD 2021 and was disappointed to find out that the only option to play it was with a smart phone, which makes zero sense. I realize now that I should have gone for the PS4 version. It appears that JD 2022 has the same issue on PS5 so I'll make sure to go for the PS4 version again. Seriously disappointing.
I agree with you. I have PS5 version and I am disappointed...I use smartphone for calling not for gaming..
@@dorotaboss7336 They should allow the option for people to downgrade to the PS4 version who bought the PS5 version. I do have a camera adapter, but didn't realize that you need the PS4 version to get the option to even use it. Ubisoft should have also been upfront about this.
@@shahrouh yes they should. UBI don't write ✍️ on game ps5 version: if you want play PS5 version you can play only with phone. And then I'll buy PS4 version because I have camera PS4 and controller move. I love this game so much. I love dance but UBI just disappointed me so much with PS5 version...I hope they change it.

Preciso iniciar do início porque o troféu da máquina de presente bugou pra mim !! No ps4 também bugou mais no ps4 eu podia apagar os dados do PlayStation 4 e jogas off-line aí consegui !! Só no PlayStation5 que não tô conseguindo por causa que só joga com celular sabe de algum jeito ? Sempre que início o jogo pega os dados que eu já joguei

If you have PS5 version you can only play with smartphone...
The ps5 camera aspect genuinely shocked me. There is absolutely no way I’m dancing with my iPhone that’s just crazy
You can use a case with a wrist strap hole, in my case I got a case with such hole on AliExpress for my iPhone 11, Then I tied a Wii wrist strap to it. Like this, if I accidentally throw it both my iPhone and my TV are safe.

@@dizzyandbusy Never did, the issue is mostly when I get a notification and accidentally open it while dancing/low battery or emergency alert popup interrupts the app

Hi Dina- I'm trying to clarify.... I have the ps5. I plan to buy JD 2021 (ps4). In order to play the game on my ps5, do I need both the ps5 move controller and the ps4 camera? Or, can i play it with just the ps5 move controller? Also, great video by the way, you rock!
Hi Max! To answer your question, if you buy JD21 PS4 version and play it on PS5, you will need just the PS Move Controller. It works with the controller OR the camera 😉 Happy to help 😘

The BEST console to play just dance is the kinect but nowadays is really hard top find a kinect

WTF ! L'abonnement Unlimited ne se récup pas si on passe de la PS4 à PS5 ou Xbox One S/X à Serie S/X ? Et justement j'avais une question sur cet abonnement. Ils proposent uniquement tous les sons des précédents Just Dance jusqu'au dernier ou propose t il d'autres encore ? Car j'hésite à prendre pour ma xbox one X le 2018/2019/2020 et si le unlimited a déjà tout çà, ce n'est peut être pas top. (Sauf dans le cas ou je passe à la Série X à priori).

Eh ouais je sais, ça craint que les abonnements JDU ne se transfère pas de consoles à consoles :/ Pour répondre à ta question, JDU inclus + de 500 chansons des anciens Just Dance, donc si tu le prends sur JD21 tu auras la quasi-totalité des sons de JD18, JD19 et JD20 ! Honnêtement, ça ne vaux pas le coup d’acheter les anciens jeux, un abonnement JDU sera une bien meilleur achat 😉

I don’t entirely know but maybe when you play it regularly without the WDF your scores depend on the room? If I’m wrong sorry I don’t 100% know but that’s a possibility

Small correction, you do NOT need a PS5 for the Adapter. PS VR is enough. How do I know? Well I sadly am one of those peeps without a PS5 ;-; yet, I still got the adapter! :D
Edit: Got the PS5, and the Adapter is absolutely worth it.
