- So much to cover this week with Arrow announcing their September titles. Kino has a few new ones coming plus one of their sales. Severin has three more Blu-rays coming in their upcoming Summer Sale. Plus Synapse Films has a surprise 4K title up for order right now. Also, a quick personal update from me. A lot to get to so let's dive in!

@@RichardDiaz lol Yeah, a few weeks to about a month ago, every time I got out of bed for a few days I felt like I couldn't stand up and actually fell back onto my bed at least once, was being pulled to the right side, and would have symptoms seemingly somewhat like those of a stroke or palsy in the right side of my face and head for a while after getting up.
Escape From Butcher Bay was an amazing game. Good on Arrow for including the cutscenes.
4K release of the year, imo.

Thank you a ton! It means a lot that you understand but I still feel bad. I never want anyone to feel like I ignored them or didn't read their comment. Luckily I am feeling so much better. It lasted a few days but is gone. Horrible feeling. I think part of it might be hereditary as my mom gets the same thing some times.
Richard! Good to see you back! Got a bit of a heatwave going on down here. I too was a bit unwell last week and part of this week. A slight bug I think. I had a couple of dizzy spells too. Earlier today I ordered Risky Business and Bound on 4k from the B&N sale and the Riddick 4K from Arrow.
Nice! I need to get on the Barnes And Noble sale. Waiting for some of this month's releases to come out and then I think I'll get several titles if I can.
i’m curious about that Riddick Chronicles bonus disc it seems like something not desirable?
I am curious as to why the 1.78:1 version needed to be included unless there is some specific reason for it. I do like the video game videos being included though. I think that is cool. Some of these games literally have their own animated movie in them.

Everything is good here, brother. I appreciate the videos when I can get them. There are a lot of great things coming up, and I am completely overwhelmed. I'm not complaining, of course, but I can't keep up, lol.
I am right there with you. I am loving that we are getting so many releases of so many different kinds of films. Keeping the physical media market alive and well. But at the same time it can be a lot to take in. Not to mention a lot to spend. lol
Excited for Blue Sunshine. I'm so glad I waited and didn't buy the dvd. I'm actually also really excited for the box set of Hell House LLC. Umbrella is putting this out. I've always love the first two films. Third was is just okay and I have not yet seen the fourth entry but I've heard it's good. I'm not usually into found footage but Hell House LLC is fantastic

Also hopefully we get the 2003 remake and the prequel of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 4k. Or at least a new blu ray with more special features. The Blu ray that we have is outdated.
I agree totally. When I saw the announcement for Friday The 13th I was thinking how much I'd like the two TCM's in 4K. Hopefully we can get them from Arrow or Scream Factory at some point.
The reason that Friday the 13th release is US only is once again the ugly lawsuit rearing its head. Just the messy details with the rights again with regards to the US versus international. It’s such a shame that it’s really wrecking our chance at a new film. And I’m guessing I will in fact have to import it of course. Actually I just tried and it let me pre-order it so that’s good news! It didn’t do any restricting knowing that I’m in Canada 🤔👍
lol by the way, if you haven’t played your Friday the 13th the game yet you should get on it because they’re shutting their servers down in December. After that, the only way to play will be to make friends with people that have the game so you can play private matches. Great video Richard, hope you are well 👍
I didn't realize there were still legal reasons but that makes total sense. What a pain. I'm glad you are able to still import it though. I hope the shipping cost wasn't too bad. Blue Sunshine is one I had never heard of until I got an Elvira's Movie Macabre featuring it. Surprisingly decent film, though not fully steeped in horror aside from the beginning. That said, I've got Filmcentrix's 3 disc set - blu, dvd, and cd soundtrack. It's got quite a few physical extras that Synapse don't including a miniature Stanford diploma, art cards, 28 page booklet, and blotter art (google blotter art). I can't see 4k doing much for the film, so will stick with what I've got.
That sounds like a really cool release from Filmcentrix. I haven't seen Blue Sunshine before but I want to. Good to know it isn't fully horror. I'll probably order the 4K soon. Still paying off releases I bought months ago before I buy new ones. lol
Cool that the Friday the 13th remake has new special features. Something that I thought Scream Factory fumbled in their box set. FvJ also being a ported disc.
I'll wait until all of them are on 4k with new features.
I agree. I wish they had done more with those two in the box set as well. Always happy to see new special features even if they're only a few things but I really like that they got the director involved in this one.
I really like the Friday the 13th remake but I don't know if I really NEED it in 4K, the Shout set is so good. I think I'll wait for a few reviews first.
I'll pick it up but I don't feel the need to get it right out of the gate. I might wait for a sale. Or I might get it and review it (trying to get back to doing reviews again) which might also be a good idea. Decisions. Decisions. lol
I need to see Torso Richard and that Chronicles of Riddick and Friday the 13th set nice. I have the Scream factory box set but I'd like to have that
If you're into Italian horror and giallo films then you'll like Torso. I'm the same way with the Friday The 13th films. I love the box set but if we get them in 4K I'm grabbing them.

No titles I feel I really must have. Torso in that case and Opera. Lots o never seen. Bringing out the Dead seems interessting!
Will be hanging at VS and Barnes for the sales. My VS collection is pretty full but there are still titles to be added!
Not buying the dvd:s myself but bluray and uhd.

Which is a good sign that I have no intention of stopping. Actually, I want to do a lot more. Something I am planning right now which I want to talk about in my update video. Thank you! And Happy 4th too! I have not seen Blue Sunshine either but I have liked Jeff Lieberman's other films so I do want to check it out. Just debating on when I want to get an order in. I'm trying to get some things paid off first.
Blue Sunshine was a feature film on Elvira's Movie Macabre. If you're familiar with the types of movies she plays, that will give a ballpark estimate. Just a forwarning, it's not so much a horror though it does has some horror elements. I'd say it falls more under a mystery umbrella. I happen to like it not so much for the film, but for the basic premise.
I also can't wait for getting the chronicles of riddick and friday the 13th remake is getting on 4k blu ray have new special features and previous than doesn't have new interview from other label. Also I'm looking forward to scream factory going to be big announcement titles for September might be rumor about night of the creeps on 4k blu ray and night life with Scott grimes they did announcement at living dead weekend horror convention.
I have heard about Night Of The Creeps coming in 4K which is such great news. I was thinking it would be with the September titles but I guess it might be October. Which also makes me wonder what else they have planned for October. Can't wait to see!

Opera should be up for pre-order during Severin's sale which starts July 12th and goes through the 15th. I hope that helps. I want you to be able to get it. I can't wait to get Opera in 4K. That is one I will get my order in right away.

I hope so too! There was a small update on Trick Or Treat but it was only that one of the three covers will be different. No mention of a release date but I do hope it's before Halloween. Keeping my fingers crossed! Still waiting on Deadly Spawn. I saw someone else ask Synapse about it but the response was just that it's coming at some point.
