    I just love collecting in general and will probably never stop until they stop making physical copies

    I agree with you about the Censorship. An example that came to my mind was an episode of “Everybody Hates Chris” that was missing in it’s entirety on Hulu (I think the music was changed too!). Another case was few episodes of “The Boondocks” which were completely missing from the line up.
    Part of what makes movies and shows great is the willingness to push boundaries particularly in comedy! No one person can decide what is funny because not everyone has the same values or thinks the same way.

    You only need 1 reason . It's superior to streaming. Period.

    Great video 😊
    In regards to special features I have noticed newer dvds don't come with much anymore usually just the film.
    Also with too many streaming services it adds up cost wise. Plus you don't own the movies even if you pay for them. As your just paying for the lincease to watch it

    I agree with all 5. My 6th would be that I can get (usually) a good amount of my money back after I compile a stack of 'duds' on bluray after selling them. In fact, sometimes there is even a profit.

      I agree. I have always made a little money when I sell my Dollar Tree titles or other dups. Especially blu rays

    Amen Bro! Totally agree with all your points. I have also found with movies and music my physical media is better quality. Streaming movies always seems to have lots of compression artifacts. My CD and Vinyl LPs definitely sound better than streaming. I have movies and music that I can't find anywhere. New subscriber.

    Physical media sales have no doubt taken a dip but you are already seeing a resurgence with all the new upcoming physical media releases of older movies like 'Some Kind of Wonderful' which will be on BD for the first time ever.
    There are many any others if you bother to look.
    Physical media for life.

    • @JEFFMAN316
      @JEFFMAN316  Před 3 lety

      That would be the case for any collectible but it is a good point. That is also why I keep my digital codes and redeem them just in case. I just wish they were more consistent with how you redeem them. More to come very soon on that subject.

      That’s why you have insurance it pays for things you have lost 🙄 my Aunt had a small kitchen fire lost almost everything in her kitchen the insurance company came in took pictures made estimates of the things that were damaged or destroyed and than she got a check to replace everything

    Reasons of collecting physical media
    1- You get to keep it forever and Amazon or anyone else doesn’t have the power to take it from you....

    Need there be any other reasons? In all seriousness, great video man.
