    50 years a 1911 man, owning 7, I finally broke down this last summer(June 2018) and purchased my first Tupperware gun, the full-size FDE w/manual safety. The thumb safety is not an issue for me as I am long used to using one. I am impressed with its smoothness and accuracy. The trigger will take me some getting used to, the long stroke hints of a double-action revolver though so much lighter in pull. Sweet as it is, like a new girl, I'll take her home, hold her, fire a few rounds in her, sleep with her by my side, but my heart still belongs to the 1911. ;-D

      Words from my heart brother lol. I too recently broke down and got me a “Tupperware” pistol being a 1911 fan. Funny thing is those people that have told me I’d be better off with one haven’t held on a 1911 much while the 1911 lover will tinker to the polymer. Honestly I’m still a 1911 man. It didn’t convert me for edc. BUT. I do enjoy having to reload as much going to the shooting range and my wallet appreciates shooting 9mm over 45 lol.

      Apex flat trigger. Try one and you’ll get as close to a 1911 feel on Tupperware as you can.

    • @RogerBarrera
      @RogerBarrera Před 5 lety

      Chase Parker no not at all. Everything we do is dedicated molding. For us to add a firearm to our lineup it costs anywhere from $800-$1200. The demand for this specific model isn’t there. So it’s the exact opposite. We don’t want to lose money that’s why we don’t add makes/models that aren’t popular across our customer base. We track requests for firearms and once they reach a point that makes sense financially we add the model. This model unfortunately isn’t even close to that threshold. Thanks for checking out the video though. 👍🏼👊🏻

    I agree that the safety sucks. if you don't like it, call S&W and they will send you the parts for a safety delete for FREE!

    You forgot to talk about the lil bar on top of the slide that lets you know that it’s chambered!

    You & D-Rock head to head using only that pistol. D-Rock won't complain about the magnums then. LOL
    You guys are great there, thanks for the video.

    I love this gun! I have the safety and it doesn’t bother me. If you’re uncomfortable with it just train more with it. Rob Ski “Enough with the bullshit talk...”

    The gun is good, only thing i do not like is when it gets dirty it fails to lock the magazine to the rear. The detent on the slide lock makes it stick to the bottom when its dirty. Takes some deep cleaning to get it working again. Then after 500 rounds gets dirty and sticky again

    Been shooting Glocks since 1988? or there abouts, When I bought a S&W &P 9mm, I was really ipressed. Don't have the 2.0 yet, but that is just around the bend. Very"shootable' pistol

    Love my 2.0. Traded from a sigma 9ve and it’s a different animal. From trigger pull to accuracy. I’d like to know which light he’s got on there. Good video too.

    Safety can easily be removed by just removing everything in the rear but not the trigger or trigger bar.

    If you buy this, call smith and they will send you the plugs for free. And taking it out literally took me about 3mins. No joke. Super simple to do

  • @mitchelll899

    It's definitely a interesting upgrade from the original. Also the fact the sights are more abuse tolerant gives it more hope as the first thing on most of my previous pistols I've damaged cheap sights multiple times in throwing it in a holster multiple times and very hard. For a future test can you try and see if their is a difference between the Taurus PT 92 and the newer Beretta m9a3 as they look identical?

    Must have dropped prices drastically since 2018. Got mine May 3, 2020 at $495 nib with tijicon night sights. I just hate that it only comes with 2 mags.
