00:00 Did you know that in Factorio, you can liquify your coal?
00:03 Even so, taking land from biters is awesome.
00:05 And taking their oil is even better
00:07 there are easier ways for resources.
00:09 Classic refinery takes oil and water as input to produce refined liquids.
00:14 Coal liquefaction on the other hand needs steam, heavy oil and coal.
00:17 It seems like a more complicated input, but if you build everything correctly,
00:21 You will need to just connect coal and water which is basically free.
00:25 Use light oil for the most efficient solid fuel production.
00:28 You need to turn it into steam and it’s simply more efficient than using coal.
00:33 The most important part is to build a loop of heavy oil.
00:36 Easy way to do it is by using circuit logic
00:39 if this tank has less than 10 thousand oil, simply stop the output pump.
00:43 You see, you can leave oil for biters, because they won’t do any...
This is a short Factorio tutorial or guide. You can find some useful tips for your Factorio speedrun and death world game. Advance topics like trains blueprints circuit network will be explained in a few seconds. I hope this series will work great as a trailer and review for Factorio. I will also try to keep it funny in a meme way.

Long term exposure to Factorio can liquify your brain.

@@arndbrack2339 Have you considered being >60% Oil instead?
What products does it liquefy to?
@@jgrif7891 the liquid doesn't matter.
The rest turns to carbon, which is coal that can be liquefied

Biters in the Factorio DLC: 0:43
will they actually do that in the dlc?
@@randomstuff1393 No, this is a mod where you can play as biters. You can build hives, worms and capture oil to generate pollution. I recommend playing with friends.
@@randomstuff1393 They might. The teaser concept art they released with the brain biter(?) has instilled fear in me though.
@@richardmoore5347 yeah id fear that too. imagen just biters fighting fire with fire, building complex factories that spawn biters to kill you, maybe even turrets and walls at least that would kind of makes sense. Mindustry did something similar where there are ai units that RE-build the factory. its pre generated (or built) and they can just repair it but it would be interesting to see mini biter factories generate on the world with biters that maintain and repair them.
ye its prabobly not gonna happen
@@randomstuff1393 some abandoned evil bots would make more sence, and i would love to see it, if not in the expansion, then as part of space exploration
The oil biters are scary, true, but it's the nuclear biters you have to watch out for.

You see Trupen, all you need to do is let the US government know they have oil and the problem will be sorted out rather quickly.
Oil biters go brrrrr
Did you just start to say "a jebem ti.." at the end? 😂
he did xD
Yeah this is pretty much necessary to scale your base beyond a certain point, it's a lot easier to find large volumes of coal than large volumes of oil
Wait a minute, if you can liquify coal, why can't you liquify those damned biters?
You can with little bit of napalm :)

I always used nuclear to create the steam for coal liquefaction.
I do it too, I find it simpler as it avoids a loop in the liquefaction plant. Also if the steam comes by train the structure is not that much more complicated than a water input.
💀💀💀
I was doing it this way in my last world, but at one moment my ass blew up because of burning trice amount of energy to nowhere.
@@spartanzneverdie3211 Nuclear reactors in vanilla don't blow up like that.
@@Jamesaepp "ass" wasn't any kind of abbreviation, it was about getting finally annoyed by ghost of inefficiency
These are absolutely wonderful!
Fun for veterans and informative AND fun for new players! Well done :)
Since one day i use only liquefaction for oil-based products in mid-late game, because i have blueprint created only for that, i'm too lazy to create new one or go pump oil from far lands (use hardcore environment settings so build outposts only if necessary). Also, i hate ore deposits near my base, so it's my personal war against coal.
Another thing worth noting is if you feed coal into a large scale liquefaction plant and split off the coal input you can fully automate plastic production with only coal as the input. Very useful once nuclear is up and running and you suddenly have a massive surplus.
Happy Saturday, Trupen!
Wow! It is very useful! Thanks!
Damn, I fell back into cracktorio, I hope you're happy...
That a jebem ti at the end 💀

Wow I’ve never thought about how coal liquidication essentially makes it so you don’t ever need to deal with oil rigs and the like
Hey, smth like zerg infestation can be really cool in games like Factorio
What is that biter oil pumping mod ?
Hive Mind
Much 2 think about
Turning coal into solid fuel through liquefaction about doubles its energy.
But since oil never completely runs out, you only need coal liquefaction if you are not drilling enough oil.
The biters industrialize! Oh my god, where is the Nuke button?
1 big question. Any news on factorio2.0 ? I mean i have the money set aside for it already :) but im patient .
it won't be realesed in at least next few months :/
what's the name of "biters using oil" mod ?
Wat da biters doin' ?
You can maximise oil production with coal to produce 220 total oil products instead of just using 100 oil to produce 110 total oil products.
Is it more efficient to use coal or turn it into solid fuel and then use that? in energy terms of course
Converting to solid fuel roughly doubles the energy after burning some for power.
1 output pump? What kind of megabase is only running at 12000 units per a second?
Can Tripe make new channel with polish language courses?
Fun fact: I actually know what ,,Jebem'' means, in Croatian it means ,,I'm fucking''
What’s better, speed modules, or production modules?
Both, both is good
Although speed can't drop below 30%, iirc
Depends on what you're crafting. If it's a green circuit, speed module. If it's a rocket, productivity module.
You have lots of space to build redundant machines feeding off a single belt: production
You don't have a lot of space and need a few machines to produce lots of output: speed
Input resources are extremely rare / slow to produce: production
Input resources are extremely common / fast to produce: speed
In vanila i prefer productivity in pump and speed in beacons :-)
Train line building tricks video?
yes, will be
@@Trupen thanks :)
Why would I replace an infinite resource with a finite resource?
oil is infinity, but it's getting slower to extract overtime
so it's infinity, however at some point pumpjacks works at like 0.001% speed
@@Trupen The lowest they get is 20%. Two big ones will cover you till endgame. If you need more than that, the infinite nature of the beast only becomes more appealing.

I say every every zero carbon cultiwt should play factorio and see how hard it is for everything to run on only dolar panels. Ley alone get to the point where you can use solar panels.
yes yes a million times yes
Because a video game is such an accurate simulation of modern industrial techniques. Zero Carbon is solved. It works. But it's not as profitable so the choice is made to not do it. It's still profitable, but not *as* profitable.
Games and reality are different things. Ask anyone what Factorio is about and they will tell you that it's about building the best factory possible. Ask anyone what life is about and they'll tell you that it's about chasing your dreams, building relationships or improving society. Factorio is about doing good to your factory, life is about doing good and avoiding bad for you and others. Just because solar power is bad for a constantly growing factory doesn't mean that it and other renewables can't power a decent level of life for everyone.
Now you make me wonder what a minimum coal challenge would look like.
@@realityveil6151 Zero carbon is certainly not solved. Renewables emit carbon in construction and maintenance, resource extraction produces it, and synthetic hydrocarbons can be created but the agriculture required also emits carbon. Carbon offsets are scams to secure tax breaks and public favour - ie. planted trees do not permanently remove carbon and remain a part of the short carbon cycle, while our burning of fossil fuels adds long stored away carbon back into the atmosphere. Carbon capture uses unsustainable energy to remove miniscule carbon from the atmosphere, and even if it uses renewable energy, it is taking renewable energy away from domestic uses, requiring more fossil fuels to be burned to compensate.
Net zero requires carbon capture, and governments simply rely on it popping up, despite no credible carbon capture technology existing.
I do not mean to ruin our dreams of a survivable planet, but we certainly need to hedge our expectations. We must not get bogged down by those making a quick profit off our urgency. We have to learn to ignore the flashy sci-garbage from elon musk and the like and put real investment back into nuclear and removing fossil fuels in transportation.
