I know servos take a lot more power than we thing and getting into those big boys they can really overload an ESC quickly!!! That servo is more demanding than most small scale systems in total!!
Ha Ha Ha, you're probably right about that. I feel like it's also something that can easily be overlooked. I have a used crawler that I picked up that for whatever reason cuts out when the steering has to work hard. I'm willing to bet the ESC doesn't have enough juice for the servo.
Thanks! I am using Gens Ace 7500 15.2V packs I guess these are HV lithium packs. They fit in the box without any modifications. But it's a super tight fit.
It depends on your hardware. You need to find out the peak current of your servo(s), receiver, lights, etc...and what the internal BEC from the ESC is rated for. These are specs that should be listed with each product. You want to make sure that your BEC current is higher than the hardware you plan to plug into the receiver (or run from the ESC BEC). I hope that helps.

This UBEC does not eliminate the postive from the receiver? We still have to cut/break/pull the positive lead?
