Hey! That’s my muzzle brake design!! Thanks for featuring!!
I love this muzzle break! Used it on several of my own builds
I really like what you've done with the sword fish and I like the sound of where you're taking the final modifications, and for the record, it is beautiful.
Hey Cap, I run the Out of Darts Insutanto wheels on Meishel 2.0's in my Vector Stryfe (with I believe an OFP 42.5mm cage) and they sing. Great performance and accuracy (though I can't speak to FPS as I do not yet own a chrono). Great combination. Originally had the Select Fire 3.8 kit in there, but had to convert back to semi-auto due to kit failure.

I just received my motors, wheels and one of my cages. I'm hoping mine works as well as yours! Will be my first wiring project.
Those silver aluminium flywheels are artifact and are meant to be for a canted cage. They might be vibrating because of they are in a straight cage.
Yep, was also going to point out that these are not Worker aluminums. Would be interested to see either Fang RV’s or Krakens pushing some Worker red aluminum wheels... For science!
I like my worker motors for full auto honestly. Some people said the Krakens were better, but I've had a really good experience with my worker motors.
coop227 recently had a honey badger build in which he used the stock stryfe cage with re-vamps and cyclones, which produces around 120 fps and seem to be highly accurate
It’s Coop772
Coop772
Do up the non-frosted bits in a translucent black/smoke color. This thing would look so awesome in your colors!
Glad to see this comparison of these motors. Looks like your alley needs a bush hog or the attentions of an experienced druid.
You should look into these things called Wago Lever-nuts for this kind of test rig. You might be able to use them instead of soldering on a connector to each of your flywheel cages.
captain xavier nerf perks is messed up right now... from an modulus longstrike but the picture is the sonic seires version, to the nitro 3 pack being worth 2500 points...
I would wager a guess on the aluminium wheels, since I hear they tend to be noisy. Those holes, I assume meant to lighten the wheel, are going to create horrific surface-level turbulence while the wheel spins at any speed. Not anything I'd say would affect performance or durability - but enough to cause a vibration that creates a lot of noise.
I just did two builds with OOD Valkyries, thank you for the information!
And there is Captin's modular spirit back again.
If you outlined the sword fish in black and put your trademark x in black on the stock, that might look good
Plugging in and swapping out flywheel/cage/motor combinations without rewiring anything... The captain had a genius idea to incorporate modularity into a place I wouldn't've even imagined!
Out of darts, I think he came up with this concept.
@@mantahcorpproductions2711 more like FDS
@@darkwhite1259 I don’t understand what you are saying. May you elaborate?
@@mantahcorpproductions2711 Fomdata services or FDS was one of the first people to add plug and play to his flywheel cages
hey Xavier (or should I call you Captain), have you done, and if not, can you do a video dedicated to how to make nerf (and other companies) blasters, attachments, and possibly darts and other related equipments last longer?
From basic "don't leave your spring compressed" to whether you should leave attachements on the blaster or not, how often you should remove alkaraine batteries from the blaster, temparture or place you should avoid to leave the plastics, how uou should rest your blasters to minimize the structural stress to the blaster, etc.
It would help me, as someone rather new to the hobby, and I think it would also help people who are unsure of it, or whom such concerns just never occured to.
Amazing vid man! I really wish I could get these.
Those are pretty awesome. Let Loose the Kraken!
If you’re printing OFP cages - try using those Tamiya motors 4WD sleeper motors as a test using the IKEA LADDA rechargeable batteries for younger modders on a budget? For science?
Yeah I had the same issue with the new worker mags. You kind of have to squeeze on the front and back edges of the mag for it to feed properly.
I am having the same issue as well. Cap did you happen to find a way to fix yours/ get the darts running smoothly?
@@jm-rz3in try posting this question on a individual comment without replying to anyone else. Like what I have done above.
Well you painted your swordfish very fast also have you seen the accutrooper it's a new 2018 accustrike blaster it's a alpha trooper with a 25 round drum a new version of the lighting storm stock and it has a barrel attachment point
He wouldn't even have to paint them.
Korviliath paint what
The new accustrike blasters. Already orange and black.
Gear up Alpha Trooper.
Sparky Santos gets it.
For 3s battery, checkout the 1000 mah graphene, or the 850 mah bolt. They should fit nicely in there
sewwes12 did you have to do any shell cutting in the stryfe for 3s 1000mah graphene
Quinn Farquharson only to get the wires into the battery compartment. I have the kelly industries tray on there
I discovered a 1000 mah 70c constant 140c burst nanotech plus three s pack
@@harrisontashjian752 link?
It’s a nano tech plus on hobby king, ez to find a good one barely fits in a stryfe with a large tray
Blackberry bushes? I think that paint is some automotive stuff. Had somebody tell me about it before too
You could paint the swordfish itself black and then it would be in black and orange
Colour job came out great. Are you allowed to film the alchemical process or have you sworn a blood oath not to divulge these magical processes?? Great vid as usual. Have a gr8 time at the war. TkEZ»UK
Trade secret.
RIT dye
I think it is just a light coat of paint.
Ssssssssssssh !!!Cap says it's a secret. He and his mini gun will be after you!!!!!
It's all in the chemical processes...
Which 2S LiPo do you use for fang revamped motors that for in a stock Stryfe battery tray?
Did you use 18 or 16 AWG wire for the rewire?
They look rather nice as a 3S option, I'd probably only use them in my Rapidstrikes and other larger blasters with a larger battery tray.
That's a great method of fitting flywheels, I have a couple of g-clamps and it never occurred to me to use them like that, great tip there Chaylo, I'll probably use that method in future when I go to fit my next set of flywheels (probably Bulldogs)!
So thanks for that!
Much respect and love from the UK!
It is .95mha 65c 2s. Very nice.
18, I think...
Captain Xavier nice, thank you very much, they have the jst connectors don't they?
What's the benefit of using jst connectors?
Seeing as I bought a load of fang revamped motors it'll be a while before I get any Krakens. I'm almost out of Meishel 2.0's from my Stryfe builds.
There is not particular benefit. They are just the connectors that those small batteries come with.
I still don't understand why they use those connectors, I have some 0.8Ah 2S 40C Turnigy LiPo's that come with an XT-60 as standard.
I'm pretty sure every modder I know used XT-60's as standard as they're perfect for the current and voltage load imposed on them.
Captain Xavier what wire did you use? And where can I get those cages?
Hey Cap love tge paint job and the gun. Quick question do you have a walk through mod video on reversing a 35 round drum mag?
Step 1: Cut a mag lock slot opposite the existing one
Step 2: File off the parts that prevent you from inserting it backwards
Step 3: Profit?
Bloody hell. I'm just gonna give up on trying to go to nerf wars just in case Xavier decides to try it out for a couple games. Pls don't hurt me.
I like the 100% orange.
I would've went with the worker collapsible stock though.
On paper, the Neo Rhinos perform a little better than the Krakens, but I'm sure in the field there will be little difference. Now I don't know if I want Neo Rhinos for my flywheels on my Regulator, and a Kraken pusher, or Krakens all-around.
On paper the Neo Rhino specs are quoted at 12 volts and the Kracken are quoted at 11.1 volts (nominal voltage for 3s). Specs scale with voltage, so the Kracken has slightly higher RPM and higher torque. This chart has specs for the available motors in our hobby scaled to nominal voltages of their intended battery: suild.com/motor-chart
The specs are not really different enough to matter on the field, as you said though. :)
FoamBlast, noted. Plus, with the fairly high failure rate of MTB's Neo motors, Krakens for everybody!
You and Walcom should team up and build a awesome blaster of some sort. Also do you know if a Longstrike could take retaliator/Prophecy internals?
We have. We worked on the Deleter and the ChimeraStrike together.
And with enough epoxy anything is possible. But it would not be easy.
MAKE IT PURPLE!!! Nevermind, already on it...
Mine will be purple as well.
THERE CAN ONKY BE ONE!!!
so the motorcage is modular?
Awesome!
i have 4 of the new style worker mags, they seem to be working great for me, in terms of feeding and firing.
Perhaps you have a shit one?
I’m getting the Kraken motors for a Rapidstrike mod
you should cut into the battery tray like i did lmao , one could get a huge 1.8k mah 3s lipo inside.
Paint the sword fish black with highlight dark gray to make it pop.
Oh, I'm going to throw some of these in a hyperfire pistol.... :)
What crush is the OPF cages you printed? I am guessing 42 or 41.5?
I thought mentuoned it in the video. But 42 for the Kraken and 43 for the Valkyrie.
I just had the idea about a week ago for the "true modulus stryfe" that uses the same xt60 system
Carl Jackson I have done it before with deans connectors. It’s not really a new idea
I am a while behind in innovation. Sorry.
I have a question about the swordfish sense the default battery trey is for AA batteries is it possible to use an airsoft battery stock for a Lipo battery while using the stock batteries for HvZ’s/stock motor set ups? Not using them at the same time using them independently. As I know that covers exist for the XT 60 connectors either put normal AA cells in them, or put a Lipo in the battery stock.
Yes, but I would highly recommend wiring in a cut off switch so you cannot accidentslly plug both battery options in at once.
@@CaptainXavier will the switch that the select fire kit was supposed to have, fit that? There is a switch right where the pusher is. Also, what do you mean by cut off switch? Like, how would it work not the principle of it.
@BenthewildchildE750 I don't think that switch would work. You need a 6 pin switch. One with 4 inputs and 2 outputs. The inputs would be the POS and NEG from both batteries. The outputs would be tue POS and NEG of whichever battery you have selected. This would cut off whichever battery you have not selected.
@@CaptainXavier I meant for the placement as the selector for the switch, if given the proper space could be used. Though with the selector being where it is, I don’t know if that would be possible. I was also thinking of using that spot for LEDs potentially. The switch I’m talking about isn’t really a switch in the traditional sense as it’s not connected to anything at the moment.
When did the swordfish change colors? Also i find it funny that you put kraken's inside a swordfish.
When I painted it.
Fair point.
Hey cap I'm planning out a project for a stryfe Mod I want it to take short darts (tallons specifically).
Due to the nature of my family and younger brother I don't want to go mutch over 100 FPS have you got a motor, wheel, cage and battery recommendation?
I don't have a lipo setup and I live in the UK so some availability is limited but I'm planning on buying through out of darts since I've already had stuff of him before.
I was planning 4 AA's with honebadgers and out of darts wheels in either the standard crush worker cage or stock cage.
That combo should be about just right.
I was curious as to the clamp you were using in the video is it a 2 1/2 inch wide clamp or is it a 5 inch wide clamp
Probably 5?
thanks
I see you painted it again..
for the krackens
Hmmm very interesting.
That's a lot of power
Do you know of a place to get the muzzle attachment printed for purchase. I don't have access to a 3d printer and would really like a pair of these for the auto stryfe's I'm working on.
I believe it is on thingiverse. Link should be in the description of my auto Stryfe video I think.
What size of OFP cage did you use with the containment crew wheels+ kraken motors?
Normal
I have an idea for an attachment for ire one that shoots Nerf daggers
But can it take a k26?
Yes, of course it can.
A question to hopefully resolve my ignorance: would putting the motors together via the magnetic properties of the motors potentially damage the units, or would they just "combine" fields and be absolutely fine?
As far as I know it does not damage them.
I am going to be building a worker swordfish for my hvz strifle. The motors will be honeybadgers running on an external AA battery tray connected by an xt60 connecter. I will be using 4 AA. Do you know what wheels I should go with, can I use a canted cage? And would I need an additional power source to run leds such as a uv for glow rounds and others for color.
Let me see:
Insutantos
Yes, but I don't recommend it.
Depends on the voltage rating of the LEDs, but probably.
@@CaptainXavier thank you. As you do not recommend a canted fly wheel cage. What do you think about a straight cage with a worker injection molded scar setup? Or would it be better to have the scar further up in the long strike barrel?
SCARs do not work well on flywheel blasters. SCARs are designed and intended for springers. For an HvZ blaster, long-range accuracy is not really that important. Your targets are coming to you and cannot shoot back. So as long as you can hit a man sized target at 25-30 ft, you are good.
@@CaptainXavier thanks. I’m just going to re-post my comment that I already re-posted. Captain Xavier: I am currently writing a book and would like your character to be featured. I will paste a short description of what I have written so far and we can use this comment thread to discuss further. The book I am writing is fictional.
What I have written: Entry one:
“To anyone that may be listening, this is Captain Xavier of the black Knights. The Zombies that have escape the nuclear blast, consist of many in number and I am injured. If knight industries comes across this transmission, you can burn in a fire.”
To see what this transmission is about Sit back and relax for I have a story to tell. Before the English came, the Irish had a tale, about a group of humans who became wolves when they slept. But the story I am to tell you happened in America, by the same people, that the captain now despises.
Any feedback would be appreciated. I am open to changing the company and the character, if you are not willing to be featured.
@@CaptainXavier out of darts does not sell the wheels that you mentioned. That I could find anyway. Any other recommendations?
Maybe paint the orange parts black then it will be in your colours 🙂
Link to that nifty box of wires/heat shrink/misc wire at 4:20?
Gearbest.com
can you put those Valkyrie motors in my stryfe if i send my stryfe to you? (kinda told my mom about how you said IMR batteries can blow up and she took them away and now I need some thing else that can get me flinging foam at 100 fps) if so contact me back. once my stryfe is complete ill try it in a fan made video.
would the valkyries setup work in a stock stryfe cage with stock wheels?
Yes, just not very well.
this is nifty
What cage did you use with valkerys and can i get them at ood
OFP cages and.. probably?
What were the orange FW cages?
OPF cages.
You're my favorite
If you don't need the rate of fire, would you recommend the fang revamp for the pusher? Or do you think the valkyrie would be fine?
Zach Young I think a Fang RV would make an excellent pusher... Especially on 3S. Voids the warranty, but the increased RPM’s would result in high DPS if the pusher mech doesn’t give out. It would be interesting to see a 3S Rapidstrike build with Krakens in the flywheel cage for faster recovery between shots and a Fang RV in the pusher mech for higher DPS.
Sean Hicks That would be awesome for an 'Uzi' build. I kinda want lowerish DPS, but I don't wanna kill the motor.
If youre going to be using 3s, use a kraken. It has 35000rpm on 3s as opposed to 37000rpm fornthe fang rev on 2s, but it costs the same and wont void the warranty :p
Fang Revamp on 3S has MUCH higher RPM. RPM, Torque, and Current all scale with voltage. Fang Revamp on 3S = 16 darts per second compared to 10 on Kraken. For what it's worth, we haven't heard of anyone burning out a Fang Revamp as a pusher on 3S, only on 3S for the flywheels.
That said, 16 darts per second is a dart hose and very difficult to conserve ammo with unless you have very good trigger discipline. 10 Darts per second is much more controllable.
FoamBlast Thank you for the help!
I wanna avoid breaking it but I plan on modding a hail-fire in the future and so I want to ask if you have any recommendations on that
Not really. I have a build guide on one...I think. It is basically a Stryfe, wiring wise.
what flywheel cage did you use
42mm OFP
How do you print your OFP cages and at what resolution?
For how....well I send the file to my printer and hit "print."
I use standard resolution.
my valkyrie's are underperforming somehow on stock cage and wheels... I wonder if anyone else is facing this issue... Cap's results are the closest to stock as he's only using diff wheels... I realize also that most other reviews on these motors were never on stock cage and wheels...
The Captain is using a different cage than stock, it is a 42.5mm OFP 3d printed cage which is higher crush than stock as well as the wheels.
“They have 35 hundred rpm.”
*but it says 35000?*
Yup, slip of the tongue.
Captain Xavier
Oh, cool. I’m not used to CZcamsrs responding.
What cage are you using
42mm and 43mm OFP cages
Captain Xavier I'm going valkyrie
And the wires?
it is either 16g or 18g. Either is honestly overkill but better to err on the side of too much.
can i use IMRS instead of a LiPo for the valkyries?
Technically...but it is a bad idea.
ok would it be just a voltage issue or something else?
Voltage is not the issue. Current is. Valkyeries draw a lot of amps. Not as many as Krakens but more than IMRs generally provide. You run the risk of over drawing them and damaging them.
Alright thanks cap! you da best🤙🏻
Looks like mutes gun from rainbow 6 siege
im curious why the 35k rpm vs 37 k rpm, also curious what fps and accuracy if you set up the kraken the same as the valk
No idea, I didn't design them.
my logic on it is if the rpm are equal at max same crush same wheels weight(diameter, weight) should be the same fps but with the torque an improved spin up/ recovery
The RPM difference is too small to matter on traditional dart setups. The RPM bump on Fang-R was to make them work with Out of Darts' Jupiter. Rival setups benefit from that slight RPM bump by more than a few FPS.
FoamBlast thank you for the reply, and after doing the math the rpm speed difference is what 5% and at those speeds that does make compleat since. Cool knowing/understanding the design choice. I also admit I didn't notice the diffrent cage and wheel setup changes between the videos the fang revamped(41.5 cage and worker high crush) compared to these being with cyclone and I'm guessing a 42/42.5 cage. I'm guessing that's what's accounting for the majority of the fps difference between the videos I've seen comparing the two
What is the size of the cages used.
42 for the Kraken, 43 for the Valkyrie.
i have a 42.5 on order. I was going to put the Valks in that with the Instanto wheels. How do you think that would go using accufakes.
Should work well.
Are mengun darts harder tipped darts?
No
Captain Xavier Cool. I'll be pulling the trigger on a huge pack of these darts. Thanks!
You are welcome. Men-guns are favored because they are accurate, have thicker foam, and because the rubber head is smaller than the foam so they will work in most sealed breaches. So...good choice! :D
@@CaptainXavier I've been debating between Menguns and Accufakes because of mainly their accuracy but I've seen ripoff menguns having harder tips on them. Good thing that I know that now
what kinda darts were you using?
i couldn't catch it, sorry
Men-Gun darts
How did you dye it? Rit dye?
Not dye.
Coolio
7:31 wow that is totally a glitch
It passed over one sensor but not the other.
1:22 i think you meant to say 35000, not 3500 :p
Yup
Hi
hi
37th!
according to youtube this video have 122 views, 15 likes, 0 dislikes, and 4 comments as of me typing this! this is the earliest ive commented so far.
what are these stats for you?
Why is it that some people can afford modded blaster while others can, its really unfair for people who don't have a clue about how to mod.
Indominus Rex I wouldn’t say that. Nerf is really _not_ pay to win to the degree that other hobbies like airsoft are.
Modding is really quite cheap, or at least it can be. A very basic stryfe mod will run you around $30. (Not including the stryfe.)
A powerful pistol mod like a brassed k26 nightfinder will be around $15 not including the like $5 thrifted nightfinder.
Making your own homemade snap blaster can be as little as $50, less probably because you could have some of the supplies already, and like, I don’t know, probably $20 for a even cheaper homemade like a HAMP?
Because weve spent countless hours learning and developing our craft, and have the money to buy parts?
Indominus Rex you can get started with as little as some wire and a dollar store soldering iron, which sets you back no more than $10
