@@juliannadouka1781 That didn't make her unworthy of the gold medal. Even with Linoy's drop, Dina couldn't take over the 1st place due to the lower difficulty of her excercises, compared to Linoy's
By the way, remember the Russian group in Rio 2016 who won the gold despite dropping a ribbon? ;)

Y los fans de las Averina estaban furiosos porque a Dina la dejaron en segundo lugar mientras que su hermana Arina quedó fuera del podio. En Rusia, las personas estaban tan furiosas que hasta llegaron amenazar a los jueces en Tokio y algunos tuvieron que borrar sus cuentas en redes sociales.

Both Dina and Linoy will go down in history. Dina as the most decorated world champion ever and Linoy for winning the Olympic medal beating the Russian cycle.
Linoy officially retired in April. Dina still has a chance to get that gold medal in Paris (if everything works out.). If Dina wins more medals by then, she’ll go down as the greatest rhythmic gymnast that ever performed.
I’d rather have numerous gold medals and add an Olympic medal, than have bronze and silver medals (a few golds- not many championships), with one Olympic one.
We’ll have to wait and see.
The thing is that Dina is injured since 2020, and she needs a surgery that was postponed due to the Olympics and the World Championships.
Now I wonder if she can keep up, since she said that even walking caused her pain like needles on her legs.

Actually I think a lot more went into her winning than we want to believe. (Politics) There’s no doubt that she performed excellently that day but she has done so in the past with that very routine and didn’t beat the twins (European championships). Dina was very underscored that day (as was Arina in her clubs routine, leading her to lose hope in the ribbon one). I’m not saying she didn’t deserve the gold, she did, but not at the expense of another.
@@leval1000 I disagree with you. It was absolutely clear that Linoy added a lot of difficulty in the finals and she suparssed Dina long time ago.
@@polufix2371 She didn’t add any difficulties to THIS routine. However, this was the routine that really separated her from the twins and it was a catch up for them going forward. It was the penche turn in the clubs routine that sealed the deal (I believe). However, by then she was further than Dina down to this routine as they scored the same in ball. I just wish they were equally scored correctly and maybe both could’ve taken home the gold, like what happened with the Italian athlete and the Qatar athlete. It is what it is. I think Linoy performed brilliantly but she’s literally never beaten them in any European or world championship, even in THIS cycle. Not even with the hoop in an event final. Clubs, yes. She even lost to Lala. So it was bizarre when I think back.
@@leval1000 that final was the first time in many years where Russian twins were scored just as they should be. There are plenty videos where its explained well how the girls have always been overscored, even in the qualifications in Tokyo, but things changed in this final, finally and for the fairness of the remaining athletes. We saw it again in the Worlds, Harnasko tool gold and that never happened before... so things changed.
@@xr2827 I’ve seen a lot of videos scoring the twins AND Linoy. Linoy always got a bit lower but it’s down to whoever’s opinion it’s based on. I’m not saying they’re never over scored but I found it very strange that were underscored by a lot in this final compared to other finals during this season. The same thing happened to Anna Bessanova in the 2008 Olympics (+ ribbon 2009 world champs).

@@douroumou1094 Yes, she retired in April and now she's going to work as a coach in rhythmic gymnastics to train the new generation of gymnasts in Israel for the 2024 Olympic games in Paris, France.

I remember that I've never seen such undeserved gold medal in my life ..the Russians were far better than her, and if I'm not mistaking although she dropped her ribbon in the other performance she won over a perfect Russian performance. Politics corruption politics corru....
Clearly you know nothing about rhythmic gymnastics. You can win with a mistake if your difficulty is higher. Where were the haters when Dina dropped her apparatus and still won gold at the world championships. And when you say the RussianS, emphasis on the S, you really think that arina was better? She got 4th for a reason and was beaten not only by her sister, and linoy but also by Alina. Arinas performances were not great and even she knew. I just hate the russians that think it’s only fair when they win. You don’t see other countries hating on russians when they win, but if someone other that a Russian wins gold it’s like a crime. Unbelievable
