In my opinion, this was the strongest choreography of her 4 routines. This code of points made it extremely difficult to interpret anything, but I thought she did well in that department. I would love to see this routine done again but in this COP because I think the music has so much more to offer. Also, whoever came up with the edit of these 2 concertos from Tchaikovsky was genius!

It's not a concerto - a concerto is a work for a soloist with orchestra. This is a symphony. Furthermore, it's music all from the same concerto (1st and 3rd movements). I find the mash up a bit strange - the 3rd movement is a march, and doesn't bond well with the first. the 2nd movement would be lovely for RG - it has 5 beats in the bar, and could yield some interesting choreo as a result.

if she did a correct catch at 1:53 , she would get a better score
@Саша А. Hi, she was supposed to catch the ball with her leg together with a rotation. However, in this routine ,, the trajectory was wrong and she decided to catch the ball with her hand. Thus , I believed she had missed at least 0.3 difficulty points ( catch out of sight, catch in rotation, catch without using hand) and get deduction for catching with both hand + trajectory error.

Its just a way of showing support and because sport brings people together from all over the world. I find your comment really rude and unnecessary.

1:51 she got 0.5 for that and if she did like she always do(catching in roll without hands) risk would be 0.9(+0.1 for 3rd rotation and w/o hands w/o vision in rotation 0.3)and score ould be 28.7 and dina will get gold medal bc difference between linoy and her in AA was only 0.15.......so sad

Tokyo Rythmic Gym just got super ugly and sad! To see all this hatred was really upsetting. Arina, Dina, and Linoy all performed so beautifully and none of them deserved any of the hate and negative comments that they received. I only wish that Dina and Arina could have shown more sportsmanship, but I understand that they felt the results were unfair and were quite upset.

The Averina twins are superb. That translated to silver and bronce. You can't win them all. All you can do is try. In sports where judges determine your fate and performances are equally match, it basically comes down to what that particular set of judges prefers, style over technique or the reverse.

Hard to believe that lead ball weighs over 55 lbs.
Fun fact: if it was lighter or heavier it would be harder to control the ball. It is the perfect weight and material for rhythmic gymnastics.
