Awesome video! Chris is the best of the best..so focused. Dale Brisby has that great voice and his interviews get Interviewees comfortable and telling Dale things they had never shared before. He listens and asks the right questions. He interviewed Chris Cox and it's mesmerizing for an hour.
This is excellent! I was about 13 when I ended up with a QH 2 year old colt. He’d been hurt and instead of putting him down my mom got the “cowboy” who had hurt him (muscles in his hind quarters) to bring him to our farm. Said cowboy had found a 5 year old former brood mare for me and was training her if you can call standing in the off stirrup and spurring her in the face to back. He had warned me to never ride “ my” horse. So my neighbor girlfriend helped me mount her bareback (she half reared but I got on anyway). I was riding her around the field when Jess came over. Not good. Anyway he asked if I wanted to trade horses so he could rodeo her. I told him I wanted to keep her- wrong answer! I ended up with the colt (related to Poco Bueno). I walked that fella for a year I read a lot of horse training books. Mom had him gelded and shortly afterwards I began his training. I had no where to ride except our fields and the road with the neighbor kids. I did figure eights, pivots off the fence, etc. I eventually got him to do flying lead changes by simply shifting my weight. He was an honest to goodness bomb proof fella from the stuff us kids rode around on our way to town. Fun times but I am revisiting training since I have a Walking mare trail horse. We were in a dangerous situation on a switchback once and I needed her to pivot on her hind quarters; nope, she moved her hind instead and about put us over the edge. I’ve rototilled the pasture up and have started back on the basics.
Awesome video! Love all four of these guys! God bless❤️
Wow so much here. Thank you.

Great video !!! Will be sharing with my kids. on a side note, Mr Brisby needs a hip replacement. I wriggled in my saddle just the way he is doing.
