I miss Bob Cole and Harry Neale. I miss this type of NHL. Games are flat now in terms of energy now. There was more excitement then just scoring goals. Its what brewed rivalries. Kadri is the only leaf that plays like this now.

The Leaf players were Gods in these days. Everybody loved them. They played with passion, intensity and most importantly heart. It makes me emotional.

This was one of the greatest eras of the game. The evolution of the game through the 70's 80's and 90's came to a pinnacle of the old school hockey in the early 2000's. Im greatful to have been apart of it. But i don't wish that it was still the same like Brian Burke or other blow hards. The game was savage, it was exhillerating but that time is over. Enjoy this new era for what it is and leave the past in the past.
I disagree. Most games you could skate around with a carton of eggs and not break any. I don't ever think i will enjoy the game like i did in that era.
I really tried to give this new Era a good go. I watched for two years and have felt so underwhelmed. It's heartless and at times, to me and my perspective, full of cowardly folk, the fire has gone. It's boring and sterile.
