    She is so well-spoken and sophisticated. Much better fashion role model than Olivia Palermo or Alexa Chung. She's got SUBSTANCE, man.

    "...I wasn't necessarily thinking in terms of 'I need a companion', as much as I was 'I feel so full from the love I'm giving myself' that I wonder if I am ever going to need anyone. ... I always tell that to people that are looking for Mr. Right-that you need to make yourself Missus Right for you, first."

    This is the third Leandra Medine interview I've watched this week, and my favorite so far! Leandra Medine is this incredible example of celebrating who you are, and being comfortable in your own skin. That isn't necessarily the norm for high-profile women in the media [at the moment], and I have so much gratitude for her voice! The vulnerability and transparency in the articles she writes is so refreshing, and have definitely strengthened my preference for authenticity in how I carry myself through any avenue of expression - style being a no brainer.

      Me me me... Me me me... Me me me.
      Why are people even giving the time of day to this egocentric, and to be honest, not very attractive woman who seems to think she is god's gift to men, women, fashion, and anything else she cares to spout off about.

    i love leandra and the way she goes about fashion and style but at the end of the day, no matter how many words she uses, it's all an opinion. I think that's the true beauty of leandra and her manrepeller website.

    She is humble enough and being warm and loving towards her family and husband not just being charismatic person all by herself. Thank you for sharing!

    This interviewer honestly was so annoying and rude. Leandra did such a good job staying smart and pointed during the *many* underhanded jabs presented to her in the form of passive-aggressive questions or lack of support/agreement on ideas.

      She's not just that, her journalism ethics is questionable as well, check out her conversation with Steven crowder. Sad though because I really love reading tech articles on mashable

      InezSmiles You should see the TechCrunch interview with Leandra Medine. That interviewer was cringe worthy. Maybe it was because I saw that one first, but this one seemed oodles more comfortable in conversation with Leandra.

    I'm sure she's charming, but effectively her story is: I lost weight to look good and so clothes hang off of me well. She tries to cover it by saying 'intellectualize' a few times. but it's just so obvious.

    Im kinda hating the interviewer you guys, I find Leandra jokes and behavior funny, like the "drops mike" or "Im kidding Im still a virgin Dad" and more comments she does like this, she is so funny, but the interviewer makes it look so awkward and not funny and Im just like dude you have never surfaced the internet? you dont get this jokes, anyway I love Leandra, adios.

    I'm confused as to why they want to repel men

    • @catg6114
      @catg6114 Před 3 lety +3

      They don’t. They just want to wear what they want and have fun with fashion, which was (and still is) considered as “man repelling” by lots of people because it looks “ridiculous” or “too much”. But the term -as the ideology- doesn’t take itself too seriously

  • @jobloomers
    @jobloomers Před 9 lety +5

    She is repelling me... big time...for many of the reasons that have already been enumerated below. I had never heard of her before today but I would caution us to turn to her for 92Y interviews or any sort of meaningful commentary. When she is not being offensive here, she is being extremely myopic in her view and seems to think that she is gifting us with great knowledge in her manner of delivery. Is this is the same place that refunded guests of Steve Martin? I may be missing something. What am I missing here? I would take a 13 year old Tavi Gevinsen any day over this.

      Candy Poiesz Why are people even giving the time of day to this egocentric, and to be honest, not very attractive woman who seems to think she is god's gift to men, women, fashion, and anything else she cares to spout off about.
      FFS Candy you must be able to see she is a total airhead. All she cares about is herself. Forget "fashion" - it is bullshit that is made up as people go along. Don't let her tell you what is fashion and what is not, you are your own person. Wear what YOU want, and what suits YOUR style, when YOU want to. You don't need this bigoted jewess to dictate her opinion to you.

    • @cw7950
      @cw7950 Před 9 lety +10

      heelfan1234 That is the point of the blog Man Repeller- to have a blog for women to visit to be inspired to wear what they want, how they want, and to not worry about whether or not it attracts men. Your comment seems extremely personal and, frankly, quite rude.

    • @cw7950
      @cw7950 Před 9 lety +1

      *****heelfan1234 also, i don't think her attractiveness (or, in your opinion, lack thereof) has anything to do with her interview. I think she's very beautiful and natural, but that's not the only reason I think of her as a positive role model

    • @PreservationEnthusiast
      @PreservationEnthusiast Před 9 lety +1

      ***** People do not need to be inspired or worry about who they attract or repel. They can be their own person without some ugly egocentric bigoted jewess making piles of money off the back of it.
      This Leandra is only in it for the money. Just listen to her:
      "Me, me, me" "Me, me, me"
      Are you not able to see through it all?
