The Durango and Silverton narrow gauge railroad Double header to silverton!

The Durango and silverton narrow gauge railroad is located in the southwestern portion of Colorado. It is running on a 45 mile portion of the former Denver and Rio grande western railroad that operated all around Colorado. The Durango and silverton narrow gauge railroad runs from the town of Durango 45 miles up to silverton. It follows that animas river the whole way. It is a gorgeous railroad and well worth it to ride it, the open air car the best car to ride in my opinion, it offers the best views and is well worth it, the seats are good too in the open air car. I have rode in first class and coach in previous years but I have to say riding open air car is the best in my opinion. There are also a number of historic hotels to stay in Durango that offer a historic view of what it was like a hundred years ago in the railroad was in its hay day.
The Durango and silverton railroad is a great railroad and is for every one to enjoy and experience!
