The Durango and Silverton narrow gauge railroad Double header to silverton!
The Durango and silverton narrow gauge railroad is located in the southwestern portion of Colorado. It is running on a 45 mile portion of the former Denver and Rio grande western railroad that operated all around Colorado. The Durango and silverton narrow gauge railroad runs from the town of Durango 45 miles up to silverton. It follows that animas river the whole way. It is a gorgeous railroad and well worth it to ride it, the open air car the best car to ride in my opinion, it offers the best views and is well worth it, the seats are good too in the open air car. I have rode in first class and coach in previous years but I have to say riding open air car is the best in my opinion. There are also a number of historic hotels to stay in Durango that offer a historic view of what it was like a hundred years ago in the railroad was in its hay day.
The Durango and silverton railroad is a great railroad and is for every one to enjoy and experience!

This is a really rare shot it only happens once a night, only when they are running two trains it is a new thing that the engineers are trying out when they are putting one of the engines up for the night! And if you haven’t been to silver dollar it is very long line for the train, but the engineers and conductors work very hard to make sure it is on schedule and goes well. I was very fortunate...

Yes, I was told they wanted to try that when they put 14 up for the night.

Okay. But yeah, that's awesome to get that of them doing it! It is not often that you get to see that.
How does that happen
I was told they wanted to try it for when they put up one of the engines to the round house instead of waiting and meeting at the spot by outlaw run. I was also told it only happens once a night.

I wish they ring 4014 steam engine to Indiana
Where was this? I might've been on this train. Rededication for an old WWI memorial and displays, and they chose to use Big Berk and A special train for it.
Near Angola Indiana.
@@FriscoTrains Yep, that's probably the one I was on. They went from South Milford through Ashley-Hudson, Steubenville, Spencerville, and to just outside Hamilton.

@@wyatttrainworldnot true. We actually ran 14 with cars 5,6,&8 one Monday in October last year when the park was slow. Car 7 was getting a rebuild.

@@wyatttrainworldprobably because no one took videos of that day. I bet there wasn’t more than 2 thousand people at sdc that day. In fact at one point I had only 3 people on the train. Lol it was a weird day!

I was there the last week of July, 2022 while on vacation with my family. Even got to see some freight trains in action! Great video, bud!
