Isn't the "play" because its running on springs and balls? Springs need room to move and bounce?
I have a mechanical "One Pal", this also has some play but not as much.

Thanks for the tip. Hopefully I’ll never have need to disassemble mine, once it’s delivered later this week. Got mine in polished Zirc. And to think, I used to be totally anti-mechanical fidgets-now I can’t get enough. I’ve got the Top-E, mechanical Pig slider (PEI), One Pal (Zr), ACEDC Mechanical Ring II (Zr), and the GAO mechanical Cashew (pol. Zr) shipped and on their way to me right now😂😂😂
I have an 01EDC in PEEK material which I love. It gives that nice ding-ding sound. Just out of curiosity, can other 01EDC inner tracks be used on PEEK cover caps?
I haven't tried (or even seen) the Peek version but I wouldn't be surprised if it did fit. They were pretty smart with the way they built these to make them interchangeable
That loose rattle you hear is quite minimal compaired to the CP-5 though. I still like both. And yes also the CP-2.
I actually found out shortly after I posted the video that the rattle is because of the mechanical function since the balls are sitting on springs so there's always a little bounce when you press down on it lightly

I haven't tried the peek but I've tried a different peek slider before and it's a really solid material so I would imagine the 01 Slider in Peek would feel pretty good.
Why not buy a CP-5? I got one and have not been using all the others anymore. Best thing ever happened to me.
I agree the CP5 is great. I've actually got a review coming out on it soon. I think I like this one more though.

The CP5 has the same rattle. Doesn’t bother me particularly. Side note, I enjoyed some Computronic music the other day. 🎶
Good to know about the cp5. I guess it just bothers me because, in my mind, loose rattle equates to something being wrong but I guess that's just how it's designed.
