How can I perfect my dips so that it hits the chest mainly? Here's the good news:
Every dip variation will heavily work the chest - given you do them properly.
The problem lies in using body mechanics such as swinging, momentum and arching of the back and neck to press yourself up.
Just stabilizing yourself in the starting position engages the complete chest. The key is to maintain this stability throughout the repetition.
Stabilize your torso angle, core and shoulder blades and your chest has no chance but to work to the maximum. Trust me, you’ll feel this.
That’s how you Perfect your form.
It takes a lot of mindful and slow repetitions to master this but it's worth it.

Hi there, my name is Eero Westerberg and I am the head coach of VAHVA Fitness. My specialty lies in mixing the Western and Eastern knowledge of health and fitness together into a combination that actually works, is proven and produces real tangible results.
I developed my methods by studying health & wellness and strength & conditioning for over a decade and by working as a professional in the field since 2015. Together with my training partner Samuli, we also traveled the world for over 4 years researching different ancient methods of strengthening and taking care of the human body.
Our programs and courses are well praised and endorsed by countless personal trainers, teachers and coaches, PhDs in physical therapy, physiotherapists, martial artists, recreational and professional athletes and many others just to name a few.
Although our training goes deeper than the surface and offers unique ways of developing the body and realizing one's potential, we also have complete beginners starting out with our methods.
It doesn't matter whether you are in the beginning or at advanced stages in your physical journey, sky is the limit for all of us and we all want to look better, feel better and most importantly move better.

Eero, considering how many different exercises you do, how many sets of dips do you do per week? I'm guessing one. You also practice with clubbells and macebells, and in order to maintain your technique with these instruments, you have to practice with them often. For that, you do animal movements, kettlebells, sandbags, mma sparring... And when you exercise the lower part of the chest (dips), you have to balance it with exercises for the upper part. What do you put on top? Where does your body get its regeneration? .... I've been exercising for 17 years (I'm 36 years old), and the more varied I exercise, the fewer sets of a specific exercise per unit of time (e.g. in 10 days) I can perform... That's why some exercises that practically do not require any technique (or .. not a complex technique) so I have 1-2 sets left in 10 days.... Does it make sense to practice them anyway? ...

I answered this in the new short I just uploaded: "Why you need training phases" from the last podcast #24. It will be answered more thoroughly in the next podcast as well. Also, when training is done according to certain principles it transfers well to other physical activities, and thus everything you do supports each other and everything gets maintained & progresses easily. People would be surprised how good I've gotten with relatively little specific boxing/MMA training for example

@@Vahvafitness I haven't watched the latest episode yet, however, are you suggesting sticking with one program at a time? I went through both Move 20xx and Athlete 20xx and now have Iron King. To mix things up I'm alternating between the two 20xx every other week. However, I'm realizing that switching the type of training back and forth is challenging the body but not progressing in the individual movements. It feels like I'm starting over each week.

@@shawncollins3513 In the beginning focusing on 1 program is the smartest way, minimum of 1-3 months and longer. Each individual is different, focusing on 1 program for 4 weeks is also smart

@@shawncollins3513 I did A20XX, then alternated A20XX and M20XX every other week for 6 months, then focused on M20XX when it started to get challenging. Since you've already gone through both programs, why not combine them? Do M20XX and Iron King, but use the mindset of A20XX as much as possible.
Right now I'm doing a combination of everything, using exercises and movements that I feel compliment my own specific goals and weaknesses. The important thing is to listen to your body, and remember that the specific exercises are not what's important, it's what they do for you that is.
