IT's TIME TO FLOAT. Two years after the hit 2017 adaptation of It, the Losers Club is back to finish what they started against It, and I am back once again with an additional 35 Things You Missed in It: Chapter 2. I picked up the movie on Blu-Ray and did a deeper analysis to find 35 more secrets that were too well hidden to notice in theaters. I'll be breaking down all of the new Things You Missed, digging out every small detail, easter egg, reference, connection, motif, cameo, callback and homage.
I'll be pointing out more cosmic references related to The Ritual of Chud, even more self references by the filmmakers, even more cleverly hidden aspects of the novel, like the writings on the pages of Mike's book, connections you may not have realized between Chapter One and the new film and so much more!
I've also got two Things You Missed explained by the director, Andy Muschietti, which he was kind enough to reach out and let me know about!
I also deciphered the graffiti on the bathroom stall that Beverly is locked in during the battle with Pennywise, which may offer some interesting messages.

About IT Chapter Two
Evil resurfaces in Derry as director Andy Muschietti reunites the Losers Club-young and adult-in a return to where it all began with “It Chapter Two.”
The film is Muschietti’s follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed and massive worldwide box office hit “IT,” which grossed over $700 million globally. Both redefining and transcending the genre, “IT” became part of the cultural zeitgeist as well as the highest-grossing horror film of all time.
Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “It Chapter Two” brings the characters-who’ve long since gone their separate ways-back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

@@eddy9524 exactly, and considering how detailed everything is it was most likely intentional. I doubt they would go through so much with the set to make it so detailed with a shit ton of info/easter eggs and accidentally make a mistake when writing the letter which is shown up close

The part with one of the characters being barefoot is Eddie! When they're walking through the water to get to the clubhouse, he took off his shoes and rolled up his pants so they wouldn't get all wet.

@@lilymayhead4528 This Richie would have been more happy with the mini-series Eddie (who never married, still lived with his mother, and was a virgin) (pps, not that there's anything wrong with that!) I do like that the movie showed more book truth with Eddie being married, but, with the focus on Richie being gay, instead of bi/frustrated, I think mini-series Eddie would have been a better story. Does that make sense?

In the letter Stan writes, the words ”be proud” doesn’t feature, but he says them, hinting that he only wrote that for certain people (perhaps Richie)

Having saw IT Chapter 2 three times in theaters and another 2 times buying it digitally I caught majority of these but still fun to watch videos of others talking about the easter eggs.

When eddie runs away from the leper and passed his older self in chapter 2. That was a reference to in the miniseries when eddie runs from the pharmacy he runs passed his older self.

What the correlation is, not sure, maybe they mean IT himself being less dangerous. But that's 100% a Nirvana lyric.

I've loved Salem's lot but I NEED a Christine remake
Unless it sucks and then keep it. Remakes are either better (or at least as good) or they are so terrible that they make the original look like a piece of classic cinema. With It both versions are good in their own right but that is just luck.
There definitely should be a CHRISTINE remake, but make it closer to the original novel this time. Set it in 1978 and, unlike the John Carpenter adaptation, address the fact that the car's haunted because of the evil previous owner's personality attaching itself to the vehicle.

If you look closely at richies clothes In IT chapter 1 it shows rainbows. Could those be gay pride for Richie. Even Eddie wears it too.
One thing I noticed in the book is that grown-up Ben lives in Hemingford Home, the same Nebraska village where Mother Abigail, from The Stand, lives.

Things You Missed (Mentioning bits from the first film)
In the first film, at the movie theatre arcade that Richie hangs out in, the movie posters that were mentioned were:
Nightmare On Elm Street: The Dream Child
Lethal Weapon 4 (im not sure correct me on that)
Well in the second chapter, in the clubhouse they had 'The Lost Boys' poster in the background giving a nod to Finn Wolfhard being in 'Stranger Things' but also giving another nod to 80s classics.
But what i realised is that when u mention Officer Gillespie (Salem's Lot) in the Derry paper, well 'The Lost Boys' poster also gives another significant hint that the next Stephen King adaptation is 'Salem's Lot' cuz 'The Lost Boys' is a Vampire cult classic.
I hope 'The Lost Boys' poster counts as a 'Thing You Missed'

"With The Lights Out, It's Less Dangerous" is also a reference to Smells Like Teen Spirit, but it's a little odd, considering the single for Smells Like came out in 1991, though Nirvana did properly release their first album, Bleach, in 1989, a year that It Part 1 takes place in.

I won't lie, my jaw dropped when you mentioned the original Ben.
In the director commentary of the film Andy says that the Beatles reference is when we see the whole club walk through the stream from the sewer. And Eddie is barefoot in that scene. It’s a reference to the fact people attributed Paul McCartneys death to him being barefoot on the album cover. It’s like an omen to Eddie’s death.

I think andy was talking about eddie. Stan and ben were barefoot too, but so was eddie. It was in the shot of them walking through the barrens and he had his shoes off and his pants rolled up because of the water. The shot is from the side, so you see their profiles walking one by one, stepping on stones. Quite literally a remake of the beatles’ album cover.
One thing I didn’t see in either of your “Things You Missed” videos is that “You’ve Got Mail” poster (that’s behind Richie in the arcade) has torn pieces missing from the top 1/3. What’s left of the poster leaves behind the shape of the “IT” logo.
