I love how in both movies, he makes the character be so animalistic. He's not a human killer, he's a predator, and he's hungry. You see it in the way he has the spark in his eye when he sees his prey, the drooling lip, it's all so un-human and I love it.
Finally a useful comment.
At times in the film he felt creepy and manipulative, like the novel. The sewer scene with Georgie and the bleacher scene with the little girl were done well. But I think he got a little goofy in other scenes. Not a bad film but would like to see a true adaption of the novel.

I have never been scared of clowns, but the scene where “It” is fast walking and laughing as he gets closer to the screen gives me absolute nightmares.

Bill Skarsgard honestly should have been nominated and/or won awards for Pennywise. Horror is overlooked far too often in award seasons, but we as fans will never forget his performance.
Horror is rarely nominated for major awards because most critics don’t like horror.

The lazy eye, the hanging lip, the drop of saliva when he is talking with his prey... Bill really worked hard to give personality and life to the Pennywise redesign. I love how they created a new character instead of trying to recreate the iconic Tim Curry villain.

I love how at 3:44, Bill doesn't wait for anyone to yell cut. He does his job and doesn't hesitate a second when breaking character to make sure his young co-star is okay, high-fiving her, checking to see if she's alright and he didn't scare her too much. Such a kind hearted person
Well, the scene had a hard cut because as soon as he jumps forward... it goes to CG Pennywise in the movie. So nobody needed to say cut in this case. :) But still nice of him to take care of the girl.

I’ve heard so many people say how it’s traumatizing for a kid to be in a horror film like this, when actually it does the opposite. They’re able to see how it’s not real and paints the monster in a new light when they see how normally he behaves off camera
Definitely does wonders for the kids. If you have seen the Insidious series, in Insidious 1, the actor that played Dalton was terrified of the horse demon and so the director took him back stage to see that, yeah it actually just a guy in makeup and a costume.
People don't give kids enough credit in general.

Bill is honestly one of the most talented people in the industry rn. He plays a character with such ease and elegance, he see’s his characters as something very delicate and close to him. He knows what he is doing. His performances in IT, chapter 2, devil all the time and im guessing ALL of his film’s, is so perfect. In the sense as he ads himself to the movies and he is so perfect for this role.
