- Dragons dogma 2 just released and i this video we talk about our first impressions of the game. Dragons dogma 2 has been surrounded by controversy due to micro transactions and poor optimization. However once you look past that it is a great medieval open world RPG game that delivers some absolutely addicting and epic gameplay. Dragons Dogma 2 will be in contention for game of the year 2024.

What do you think of DD2 the actual game?
Absolutely fantastic man warrior feels so friggin badass like sheesh man. Idgaf about the micros, yea it’s stupid they’re in the game but you don’t need to buy a single thing or even feel tempted at all. The game is amazing it’s my GOTY for sure
Crashed over 30 times first day playing, and Im not kidding. I have about 3 hours played with only around 15 minutes of actual gameplay on PC. Unfortunately that has left a terrible taste in my mouth. Perhaps will try again on console, but being limited to 30fps is criminal in 2024. Ill try again in a year once they iron out the kinks
Warrior has a ton more dmg than fighter too, fighter is mostly a tank or support, warrior stagger things so much and does a lotta fmg

Why is everyone mad about the fps

I loved the first game despite the jank. I like this game too, despite it's issues. The microtransactions are stupid as always, but that doesn't deter me from the game. I play on console so fps and performance don't bother me as much, though I would prefer a better performance. My main gripe would be that it feels like it could have a little more of something. More enemy types, more magics, more vocations, something. I'm not sure what, but something feels missing to me. I've still been stuck to it since release though. Pc got shafted with this game from what I've read.

I refunded it. 30fps with a 3090 is not acceptable. Microtransactions aside I won't put up with dog water performance.
I’ve been playing it on pc but I had to put it down for a while until they fix the performance issues. It’s a huge immersion breaker for me especially in a game like this. Nice video all aside.

I honestly have to say, this game is legit worst game of the year, and I really mean that because if you think critically on this game and look at the flaws at play, you could possibly say it was a complete betrayal in the purest sense for a sequel game. Everyone always mentions the performance issues, and the microtransactions, and the denuvo of course... But no one ever mentions or talks about how this game clearly has missing content, and ultimately didn't hold up to the hype as well as it should've because of it, the majority of people expected a lot more than what we got from the original game, and instead we got a game that basically was a cashgrab alone.
For proof of what exactly I mean here, we have missing vocations and new weapon types to go with those, which literally made no sense not to do considering how hyped we were with Mystic Spearhand and how we all wanted and expected even more weapon types for the sequel. If that wasn't bad enough, they literally cut half of the enemies from the original game like the Hydra, Cocktrice, Hellhounds, Gargoyles/Strigois, Grim Goblins, ect. One of the most impressive and impactful enemies, the HYDRA wasn't in the game...
But of course we're supposed to be okay with the game taking 12 years to come out while costing 70 bucks with cashgrabby preorder/deluxe edition bonuses, performance issues, denuvo, and microtransactions... All for the sake of missed potential and content, all of that is why we couldn't get the content we deserved for the sequel, and even if these popular problems get fixed, that still won't save the game because Capcom basically gave us all the finger here.
