    LCH is made for high altitude Himalayan warfare.....India struggled to hit the 7km high altitude Pakistanis position with Russian attack helicopters with load in kargil war 1999 that's made LCH for its own interest ....Apache is heavy attack helicopter

    when you look at price diffrence , LCH is a true futuristic beast, also you forgot to maintain LCH has less radar cross section as compared to apache which makes LCH more safe from enemy missiles, also in the video service ceiling of Apache is shown wrong its less than 20k feet, The only reason India made LCH because Indian needs to monitor over the Himalayas and LCH can fly over peaks of the top mountains but Apache cant do that at all.

      LCH is for high altitude wars and it is ultimate in its class. Apache is very lethal in low altitude wars. Both are different class helicopter. That why India acquired both.

      Dude that is pure fan fiction. How the hell do you know LCH has a lesser RCS than the Apache? Neither are Stealth Helicopters and will show up on the radar regardless. The EW suite in Apache Guardians is superior. Trust LCH is a our beast, but it is not in the same category as Apache.

      There is about 100 meter ceiling difference between the Apache India flies and the LCH. However, the Apache can operate drones so altitude and range are based on the performance of the drone. The Apache D has a lower ceiling, but India has the Apache E.

    Both have a different design due to the difference between the tasks they are meant for. The Apache was designed as a heavy survivable helicopter to stem the red hordes on the plains of Europe. The LCH as a light attack and reconnaissance helicopter for high altitude and hot/humid conditions.

      @@durgeshsss it carries too few weapons to deal with large numbers of armoured vehicles. That isn't a problem at high altitude where armour is useless but they can't handle the desert terrain as a large caliber bullet will take it out and it has a very limited amount of weapons. If you bothered to read the whole thing you would have read it in my comment the high altitude and hit-humid attack function.

    Apache is a warthog on the battlefield but lch is designed to attack on mountains as in 1999 kargil war india realised that they require a attack helicopter for such areas.

    The error in the weight of these helicopters is in the commentary at about 2:50. It should be the opposite of what was said since Apache is significantly heavier than LCH. Otherwise, this is a good video 👍🏼

      The Max takeoff weight for the LCH is 5,800kg. The primary mission weight for the Apache E is 6,800 kg with the maximum weight being 10,400 kg.

    Lch is light attack heli and Apache is medium. LCH was designed to fight in the mighty himalayas where the average peak height is around 6.5 km.

      @@Amory98 yeah this heli has a service ceiling of 5000 m when fully loaded, dude it has about 1400SHP dual turboshaft engines while the Apache has 1900SHP dual config(similar) and has a service ceiling of 5900m without payload. In the testing phase of LCH, they did the landing on a post which was at 4800m elevation, so it can definitely hover at 5000m, and maybe above 5000m if its running on its cruising speed

    I'm an Indian and im gonna be honest. The LCA is no match to the Apache, but its a marvellous effort and it's going to give us a much more valuable lesson. Although, India has already bought a few Apaches, I hope we spend more on research and improve the Prachand on the same levels of the legendary Apache, esp, the long bow variant. I've been watching and an absolute fan of the Apache and to know that its very much possible that we may build something similar, it's an incredible feeling.

    LCH primarily is developed for high altitude missions. You can call it china centric. As tensions flair between both countries, LCH is becoming more relevant. Galwan clash has changed everything. China has clearly chosen a path and India (after years of warning signs) knows who is the real enemy.

    Just look at the price difference Apach is 2.5 times costlier. Im sure LCH can be fitted with various bombs and guns. LCH also flies higher and further. Not much in the speed department just a little faster is the Apache. I believe the LCH wins purely because of its flight ceiling and range and cost. Armaments can be added to both.

      The Apache can be a multi target weapon system. Six Apaches can destroy 96 enemy vehicles, with friendlies mixed in with them, in under 3 minutes. No other weapon system can do that.

      @@appusangha6069 There are areas in the Himalayas that the Apache can be at, but it looks like the replacement has a very low ceiling. Also the Apache can use drones to go at any elevation and shoot Brimstone 2 missiles with a range of 40 km.

      ​@@orlock20 you know what, apache has its own advantages and lch has its own, but as every country is not USA you cannot operate systems like apache for everything, and it isnt great for everything as well. apaches are not meant to operate in extream high altitude environments and why make adjustments and additions of about 5 million dollar to a 35 mil dollar heli just so that you can make it operate decently better at higher altitutes, rather just get 3 10-15 mil dollar helis made specifically for the task and will out perform the apache in such conditions
      also high apaches can only operate with half as much payload at higher altitudes so they have less weapons then the lch then

    Apache is heavyweight and LCH is lightweight, maintainance cost is very high in case of Apache, while LCH can do the same that an Apache can do with a low budget and low maintainance. LCH is designed for high altitude warfare in Himalayan region, in high altitude war Apache is less effective because of it's weight.

      @@Aasmaan34519 not in case of Soviet Union they prioritised shier quantity where in case Germany mainly went for higher quality and expensive tanks so Soviets use the tactics of sending 91 tanks against 1 tiger tanks once the tiger tank runs out of it amo the last remaining tank will get behind it's back where the armor is thin and knock it out

      The Apache can destroy 16 advanced T-72 tanks which cost a total of $32 million (without counting the cost of their ammo and fuel) using $3.2 million worth of missiles in a $35 million helicopter in under 3 minutes without exposing itself to the enemy. Not even the F-35 can do that.

    LCH is purpose built to fight the Chinese and Pakistan armies in the inhospitable heights of the Himalayas. If it accomplishes that job well, that's all it's supposed to do. But it's still not battle proven. Apache has a successful track record and is kinda sitting world champion of attack helicopters. This comparison makes not much sense.

Hal (actually IAF) was seeking for higher service ceiling for Siachen battlefield as IAF had faced difficulty during Kargil conflict. That's the very first production. After mass production and user, it will be definitely improved. Right now LCH must be equipped with lethal weapons... 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

    As an Indian, I was quite surprised that Hal comes out with a handsome attack helicopter with decent performance. Can’t say about the Hal Tejas or Arjun tank. The price is outrageous to say the least. Foreign vendors would think low price means low quality and performance. Actually Indian products are cheap due to cheap labour and low goods prices

    You did not compare the latest variant of the Apache. The AH-64E Guardian upgrade has increased the Apache's capabilities which includes controlling drones from the cockpit of the AH-64E Guardian.

    The Apache has has been COMBAT tested in all combat hardened readiness situations & strategies. The LCH has not, but, it's an impressive experimental aircraft, still to be tested in battle ... That's the answer to which is best, regardless of their capabilities or components ...

    Hands down Apache! No other weapons platform in its category has a combat and operation experience in a day in day out on a daily bases. Until the LCH has proven it self in combat at home and abroad….It can not be considered as a better platform!

    The Apache’s ‘war resume’ speaks for itself above nearly every other internationally designed and built attack helicopter. What is the point of this comparison? Who would win in an air-to-air confrontation, or who would boast better results when unleashed on a battlefield scenario?

      Great question. A head to head combat between these two machines is unlikely given who owns them at the moment. But then again, such a comparison will never be true since pilot and ground support skill/tech levels are never the same, and that's always half the story.

      The Apache hasn't been tested in war in the Himalayas(high altitude). The lch is known to have flown a cargo of 600Kg and landed at a height of 22500 feet. I won't be so sure about Apache winning if the battle took place at a height more than 20K feet.

      First of all, Attack helis dont do air to air combat. It's main objective is to provide ground support to troops and eliminate tanks and armored vehicles. And the 2nd thing, LCH is way cheaper than apache. This LCH is for high altitude combat, It has more service ceiling than apache. india is also developing HCH (heavy combat heli).
