I ironically watched this on an airplane, and I was confused when it said “some parts have been edited” until I realized there is a scene with minions almost crashing a plane like 50 times and they probably don’t want to show that to people while they themselves are in an airplane

I'll be real this is the closest to watching this movie I'll ever get, It's REALLY nice to see the Mona Lisa appropriately sized for once. It's such a small painting but it's always depicted as this massive piece.
I mean, it's not _that_ small, it's certainly much smaller than the display case at the Louvre where it's kept, but it's wider than a human torso
It is actually a really enjoyable movie despite this video. It’s silly and doesn’t take itself seriously, but it’s so fun and hilarious to watch.
@@cameramike2515 I'd say that's precisely why I enjoyed it. It was a wacky movie that knew that it was a wacky movie. Some films try too hard, this one didn't.
I was thinking of a completely different movie, but this still fits the bill.
I actually liked the first Despicable Me, but the franchise, and the Minions as a whole damn phenomenon, has gotten so obnoxious that it's painful to watch even the Sins video of their existence.
I get what you mean, but to be honest it was so fun watching this with my youth group, especially with all the references

My dad never laughs hard at ANY movie EVER. But somehow through sheer animation thought, they mad my dad laugh so hard he almost died. He is a pilot and the only time he laughed hard was the airplane scene. every other time it was more of a "Heh"
i watched the movie in theatres with some friends for shits and giggles and i couldn't breathe during the airplane scene, lmao. i don't know what it was about that scene but i was gasping for breath

I watched this movie with my son - I was in tears during the airplane scene, and I’m not even sure why. When the plane just levitated out of the blue, I lost it.
The rest of the movie after that was not even close to being very funny, which was a let down. First half had some great gags.
I still remember the first minion movie's backstory and the implications that the minions served in Napoleon's Army, which would make them very war-crimey

Can we sin this movie for being a sequel but having nothing to do with the first. This film says gru met the minions at his house but he met them in England in the first and in this film it says gru met dr nafario at a record store but in the first he met him at villan con. Also minus a lunchbox this film dose not pick up after or even reference the first it’s like the people who made this never saw the first

@@Ijustwatchthevids No, I think they're right that this movie is the sequel. In the first Minions they get their little origin story and at the end they go to work for Gru, which I guess is supposed to pick up here.
They want to forget the first minion's movie and I don't blame them as microwave society said this is such a funny way of being their origin story of just appearing at Gru's door.

First Minions movie actually made more sense than this one because Gru stole the crown and did a despicable thing which led the minions to follow him

While you do have a point of no one questioning where Gru's parents were, I feel like kids wandering around on their own was a common thing in the 70's.
And Gru's mom would not have gone with him anywhere regardless since she straight up does not like him which we have seen NUMEROUS times in the other movies

The 70s was pretty wild back for Kid Gru and the Minions.

I watched this movie dubbed in a language I don't understand very well so it's good to know I was still able to get at least most of the plot points by the animation alone
I watched the Japanese dub (studied the language for 10 years and still going), it was so good.
The so-called “death” of wild knuckles actually made me cry, and then when I saw him behind the tree, I thought it was a ghost but when we went in the car and saw him, I cannot even explain my happiness.

I, CANNOT believe he didn't mention the part where we see Victor's picture and wondered how him and Gru looked so similar inn age when in the first movie Victor was shown to be s lot younger than Gru. Apparently what happened was that Illumination SERIOUSLY forgot that they made Victor much younger than Gru which is why they're similar in age in this movie

Why is it that every prequel has to do the 'he got his iconic thing because someone gave it to him' cliche? It's like Han & his blaster all over again

I saw this movie in theaters with my friend (both 18) and it was just as funny as an adult for just about every reason you sinned. Not because it was a coherent story, just because "what the fuck is happening and how does a child follow this story?"
Had they not added Minions to the title, I would have given this movie a shot, but as it were...DING!
The end of the movie is off the rails - to the point it feels like a different team of writers took over. The 3 minions doing kung fu training for about 20 minutes of the movie’s run time just felt like the writers had no idea what to do after the first half of the movie.
The first half had good pacing, good story telling, setting up a plot. The second half was a fever dream.
And for some reason, the airplane scene had me in stitches. Been watching a lot of aviation channels on youtube, and that whole scene, including the vtol, just had me in tears.
The secret to the Minions' success is how secretly dark some jokes are.

Well for April Fool’s day one year, he sinned Troll (not the Dreamworks one) and decided to be positive and remove sins for everything that he liked. Towards the end the counter was at negative 10,000 sins, but then something happened making him so mad that he took back every negative sin, bringing the counter to 0.

My son's middle school runs from 8:30 to 3:50... Boys first day I dropped him off at 7:45 and showed up to get him at 3 and had to wait a hour.

BTW, this was the first film I saw in cinemas after the COVID pandemic. It’s a simple family flick, but I still got a lot of enjoyment out of it.

You forgot to mention that at this point in time, Gru should be the one possessing the freeze ray, not Dr nefario, as he had the freeze ray in the previous movie, before he even met the minions
