- In this video we expedite the unboxing process to get right into the RC and what makes it tick. AJ walks you through the Granite and then puts it to the test, and at 5 degrees outside, the tests are brutal for a plastic RC. Come along as AJ tells you what we think of this offering from Arrma.
Videvo Music:

(Blue Collar Heroes), Nothing is impossible
Epidemic Sound:

I luuuve my Granite. The brushless Granite is the best basher you can buy. It's relatively cheap, it has excellent handling, you can steer it while it wheelies. It does flips better than any other basher and it is practically unbreakable. Most bashers break some parts when you take them out the first time, the Granite won't. The body is thin Lexan that you can strengthen by spraying liquid latex on the inside or covering it with drywall tape and Shoe Goo. The radio is ok but won't be able to control the truck from very far away. It goes plenty fast and is pretty stable compared to a Traxxas Maxx, which likes to flip over. If you want a basher make this your first one, you can learn how to drive at high speed, doing tricks and flips. I always run 3s
Thanks your comment just made me buy one lmao
Same I might today ha
This couldn't have come at a better time. I'm about two months into the hobby. My first car was an outcast 4s. My son is 4 years old and I don't trust him with it but have been having a hard time looking for an RC he would be able to handle. Thinking about picking up this car for him and just putting it on 50% power. As always, thanks for the content. Keep up the good work.
Always an educational clip. Nice work AJ 🤘
The Granite V2 was my 1st hobby grade truck! And it made me fall in love with the hobby instantly! Great little truck for beginners to professional bashers!
i gifted the brushed version to my young newphew in february. he's bashing it pretty hard almost everyday and nothing broke yet. i sent him a link of your maintenance 101 video and he's been religiously following every steps hehe.
Great stuff AJ as always, I always find useful stuff even for vehicles I dont have. Very cool little truck.
Love the new unboxing animation 😂. Great video AJ, would love to see the slipper clutch video when you all make it
The 3s blx granite is a great rc, still have mine and run it in the garden with a home made ramp. Epic little car... john
Excellent video! I got my granite about 3 weeks ago. So so amazing truck. My first 1/10th scale car, I’m very happy with it :)
Great to hear!
I just wanted to say I really appreciate and enjoy your content. I have every vehicle you’ve done except the Mini B and the DB 10 Team Associated. I love bashing but racing is a blast
i have gifted two of these before and they are the absolute home run hitters
Thanks so much for this very informative video...ive been interested in getting in the hobby w my son and really been combing thru the budget rcs...I really appreciate you reviewing this as im deffinatly thinking bout pulling the trigger on purchasing the granite....thanks again..I liked and subbed..lol...have a great day 😊
Great vid AJ.. my granite was my first basher. It's a awesome rigg. just put 6s shocks in it which as made it bomb proof..would be interested in the way you guys find the sweet spot on the slipper clutch though..👍🇬🇧😎
Loving your channel! Do you have a spread sheet online of all your vehicles tested and compared?
Great vide, even after a Year I still come here to watch it. now I do have a question, in a regular car if one wheel is not aligned with the other in the front, it creates the tires to suffer wear more quickly. Is there a co-relation with the ARRMA vehicles? I do have about 6 different arrma's and all of them suffer from the same, front wheels are not aligned, Thx!
Hands down best 3s line out there.
The cold ground isn't the only problem. The cold weather makes the plastic more brittle
Very thorough
Great video 👍🏿
I made mine 6s and love it
I also deal with frozen ground but that's not the only issue that counts against all RC trucks the cold air makes the materials of the trucks more brittle. On warm days plastic is more flexible
Horizon hobby has the granite mega 550 on sale right now for 159$. I have a brand new velineon motor and esc laying around so I ordered the truck. I heard you say something was different with the transfer case or something. What exactly is different with the mega 550 and the 3s blx version?
I really like my granite, but yeah the steering servo is pants, my ESC has burnt out (got a firma 100 as a replacement under warranty) , the rear driveshafts broke on the 3rd outing so replaced them. Its a beast at the skateparks though , so much fun :)
Awesome! loves the passion and effort in theae videos. You helped me decide to buy a Granite as my first RC
Thanks for the video you do a real nice job.
I have two Granite’s, the Mega and the 3s they are a blast! I think the 3s is a much better value because you will spend more money trying to make the Mega a 3s if you like doing upgrades.either way you go they are FUN!
Arrma should do 8s granite with all plastic chassis.maybe it can become x-maxx killer
Could I use the remote from the jlb cheetah 21101 on the aarma granite ? The aarma granite remote is only good for like 100 yards? The jlb remote is good for like 400 yards !
At 5 degrees, most plastics become brittle and breaks pretty easily.
Why was that one random pole just out in the middle of that field?
Great review...
Whats the 1st 2nd and 3rd on the budget list?
In case you don't know: the blx electronics are relabeled hobbywing electronics. They are the same as the hobbywing quicrun series.
wow how the heck did it hold up to that boulder pile! the rear body panel, just like you talked about is shredded on mine, love this truck.
One tough little truck. They should have added some extra protection for the body. Thanks for commenting 😎👍
Great in depth review of the Granite. It sure took on the rock pile ( ̲̅:̲̅:̲̅:̲̅[̲̅ ̲̅]̲̅:̲̅:̲̅:̲̅ ) .. I absolutely love mine. Nice job on this production.
Man that thing rips on 3s
Which RC is 1 2 and 3...??
Curious, are you a teacher outside of RC? You have a great demeanor which I find very pleasing and helpful. Big fan of your channel! Thanks!!
In a way. My line of work causes me to teach our type of work to new people. Thank you. 😎👍
Which would you recommend to get, the granite or vortex?
Yeah, I would love to know an answer to that question too?
I'm picking mine up today, can't wait. Where can I see "The List" or "The Lists"? I'm about six months into the hobby, started with the Hosim 9125 for a hundred bucks and now moving up to the Granite. I'm sure I'll be getting more as time goes on. Love the reviews, want to see the list!
So I'm easily confused.
Are you saying that it was never running at 100 percent or once you took it off of 100 percent, that it would not go back to 100 percent?
It was like the 100 percent selection burned out. We ran at 75 percent for the majority of the time due to this issue.
Appreciate you explaining for me man
Where can I see the full overall and budget hall of fame list?
We’re getting to that. Thanks for asking, AJ
Arrma 3s is definitely the best 3s trucks on the market
Mine is 3 years old and waiting for me to take it for a walk .
👍
Very informative review. And not sure if you were ever told this, but you look a little like Robert Carradine.
Imagine that.
Not sure how to read your response, either you are him and just like r/c's, or you have been told that many times over. Regardless, you look like him a lot.
Its a Vorteks with big tires. Id rather get a Vorteks and get the DX3 included, then add Typhon arms and links!
brutal
can your crawl with this truck?
Not really. It’s more of a speed machine.
😎💯💯💯
Will NEVER be an Arrma FANBOY. They look TOO MUCH like JUNK GM/CHEVYs. I did buy an OUTCAST though. It's about the only RC car they make that I would even think about buying. And also not a spectrum fan. I absolutely love my Traxxas remotes. I don't need a stupid clip to bind my remote to a different RC car. I do like the battery level indicator and the switch to cut the speed of the motor Spectrum remote. I always slow my cars down for my niece and nephews. They are very destructive.
Haha
Wow. Why watching this the. Silly boy. No one really care what you are a fan of man. Your money buy want you want.
