For the Korean soup I felt like they should’ve used some other well-known soup like budae jjigae, seolleongtang, or dwenjang jjigae.

I love GMM but as a South Korean native, I have lived my entire life here and never seen or heard of that soup... When I saw South Korea, I imagined it would be the more representative soup dishes in Korea like spicy tofu soup or seaweed soup... None of my friends have even heard of that soup in the video...

Given the other country options there, it would be too easy to guess south korea if it was those soups you mention my friend. The point is to trick them lol, not necessarily to put the most representative dishes of each country.
Marc Foster 번데기 is not in every market LOL. In your average day shopping around you will never see 번데기. Maybe that one place towards Han River sells them. More importantly, nobody who is below the age of 50 eats them. That’s the equivalent of saying Americans eat canned rattlesnake and theyre at every market.

I lived in Daejeon for a year teaching English. I saw beondegi pretty frequently, but yeah, I never saw it in soup, only as a snack to eat with toothpicks.
