  • I show you the features of the Ruger American Ranch Gen I rifle in 7.62x39 including the trigger pull, length, length of barrel, length of pull and the scope and rings that I mounted. I take you out to the range to show you some shooting and then I show you the sight-in target and first group with the Barnaul Steel Case Ammo, which is sub MOA! Then I talk a little about the Ruger American Gen II rifles and if I should get one and in what caliber.

    I’m pretty stoked for the ranch in 6mmARC and that 16” barrel has my attention in 6.5cm too

      Unless you have an AR in 6mm ARC I don't see the appeal. Just get a .243 or 6mm in your bolt gun and don't compromise the cartridges' performance for a 2.260 length you don't actually have in the gun.

    I got the gen 2 ranch, and I love it. Light weight shoots great and looks good. I never had the gen 1 So i can't compare, but I do love the gen 2

    I have 2 6mARC rifles, AR and a savage axis, they both shoot 1/2” groups at 100 and they kick less than my 223 rifles. My 7 year old daughter shoots my AR all the time

      Awesome. I had seriously considered the 6 ARC for my son. I'll take another look. The adjustible stock would be perfect for him in the Gen II.

    I have the gen 1 in 7. Based on price i would get gen 2 for 100 more. Adjustable stock, muzz B, comb and smoother bolt. Looks better. But if around 4 can't beat gen 1. Just as good with a couple upgrades.

    I have a Gen I in 7.62x39 and it’s a great shooter but after picking up a Gen II 223 I’m really think hard about picking up a Gen II 7.62x39. The stock is a Huge upgrade and the bolts way smoother to operate than the Gen I. The New Gen II 223 with the 20” barrel is such a great shooter.

      Yeah, I've got to have one for sure. Just gotta decide what caliber and barrel length. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    How’s the recoil for being a light rifle ? Does it need a brake ?

    • @MisterBrewer
      @MisterBrewer  Před měsícem

      It's not bad at all. The recoil pad is pretty good. I kind of wanted to put a brake on it to keep sight picture better but haven't done it.
